The things we tell and try and Teach our children in real life are hard to do.

No matter what we believe the Scriptures are a good tool to learn from..

They are like rain. With all the technology and all the money in the world. If it quits raining we will die.

When you die what will people remember you for?

Its not a mans birth that we should remember but a mans end of Life. How did a person affect us? Was it positive?

So to me The Scriptures can be summed up in a few words.

Do unto others as you would have them do to you.

If you need forgiveness in your life then forgive.

If you see a need and can fill it.. Then fill it.

Our life can end in the snap of a finger. So do whats right to others and you will have no regrets.. Blessings of Shalom..Milesdrinker flowerforyou

THOSE scriptures/laws are finished, completed, fulfilled, finalized. We not longer are to do that, so why mention it? Why say things to cause up a stir?
Milesoftheusa was more so speaking of the loving your neighbor, doing for others as you would wish they would do for you, and all around treating others the way you wish to be treated. What harm comes from helping people in times of need? What harm comes from giving someone(s) unconditional love? Regardless if you believe in the scriptures themselves, what harm comes from following the laws set out before us? Just so happens, they pretty much say the same things the laws of the land(s) say. No stealing, no murdering, no harming another, ect. What foul comes of doing as such?

wouldn't unconditional love mean that both of atleast one of the parties involved would do anything for Love...even kill? ....so wouldn't that be an indication that harm could come from unconditional Love

also there is no such thing as unconditional love...once you claim or require that the love be unconditional you at that point in time has just place a condition upon it

The things we tell and try and Teach our children in real life are hard to do.

Do unto others as you would have them do to you.

That an extremely easy ideal to live by.

But it can also be extremely problematic.

Suppose that a person is gay. They do not judge the sexual orientation and behaviors for others, and would have them to the same unto them.

They can live their half of this ideal with no problem, but what happens in reality?

Well, in realities the other people who claim to be supporting this same philosophy DO NOT adhere to it themselves. Because they make fun of the gay person, ridicule and belittle their lifestyle, and even condemn them as being "sinners" who are refusing to repent their "evil ways". ohwell

In other words, it doesn't to a person much good to "
Do unto others as you would have them do to you.", if the other people aren't also following this same philosophy.

I doubt that anyone would want to be ridiculed and judged to be a "sinner" based on their personal innate desires and lifestyle. Yet many people who claim to adhere to the ideal, "Do unto others as you would have them do to you." do indeed ridicule, judge, and condemn other people to be 'sinning' in the eyes of God.

So where this ideology fail Miles, is often with the most devout religious people who are attempting to shove their ideals onto everyone else in direct conflict with the ideal of, "Do unto others as you would have them do to you."

So the problem lies with religious hypocrisy and nowhere else in this particular case. flowerforyou

What harm comes from giving someone(s) unconditional love?

Who has unconditional love to offer?

Surely no moral human. Especially no Christians. It would be impossible for a Christian to exhibit unconditional love because they would be trumping the very love of God which is certainly not unconditional. And a human who claims to offer love that is superior to their very own God would indeed be both a hypocrite and a blasphemer.

There are many conditions placed on the love of the Biblical God.

1. Thou shalt place no other Gods before him!
2. Thou shalt love this God with all thy mind, heart, and soul.
3. Thou shalt obey the commandments and directives of this God.

To do anything less than these can bring this God's vengeance and hatred that will supposedly result in casting the unloved person into a state of eternal damnation.

So, not only are their many conditions place on the love of the Christian God, but there are also dire consequences to be had if you fail to meet these conditions that can only be associated with receiving the most hateful vengeance from this God.

So the Christian God has no unconditional love to offer anyone. There are many conditions and apparently they are quite strict.

Moreover, the Christians have even taken this further through their invention of Jesus. Now the Christians are claiming that, not only must you appease the main Godhead, but you must also appease Jesus because they claim that the ONLY way to the LOVE of the Father is through Jesus.

So now we have yet another condition placed on this love.

It's the most conditional love on the planet. It's far from being unconditional love.

And therefore, for any Christian to even speak of a concept of "Unconditional love" is blaspheme! Because they are appealing to a concept that even their very own God is incapable of exhibiting!

In other words, for a Christian to speak of "unconditional love" is to presume that there is indeed some GREATER love that exist above the love of their very own God.

That would be blaspheme against their very own God to presume that a concept GREATER than their own God could even exist. And it would be a far GREATER blaspheme for them to personal claim to have unconditional love to offer anyone, because in the very act of making such a claim they are professing that their love is even GREATER than God's love because their love is unconditional whilst the love of their God is not.

So Christians should avoid terms like "unconditional love" as though it's a trait that only Satan himself would support, because it's clearly an anti-Christian-God concept. pitchfork

There is no "unconditional love" offered by the God of Abraham, nor by "The Christ" in the Christian doctrines. That's simply an incompatible concept. That concept is FAR ABOVE anything that their God is capable of.

You'd need to move up to a spiritual philosophy like Eastern Mysticism is you want to support a concept such as "unconditional love". flowerforyou

Abra.. it is as I have said before a simple reasoning about life.

Never meant to be contraversial or anything.

You speak of ridiculing.. You are the one RIDICULING Abra. Why?

What did I say here so wrong?

No you hate the scriptures and do exactly what you claim believers do.. SLAM your RELIGION down everybodies throats.

Then claim you are not religious. Yet you say you are very Spiritual.

Spiritual for what? Slamming everyone no matter what they say?

Thats Prophecy being fullfilled by you Abra and you will still go off with non sence because of one thing.

You and others want it your way.. You all are smarter than everyone else because you ,make up your rules as you go.

I follow a way of life written in a book to the best of my ability.

I put it out thier and you say its EVIL.. good for you.

18 Whoever hides hatred has lying lips,
And whoever spreads slander is a fool .

19 In the multitude of words sin is not lacking,
But he who restrains his lips is wise.

No reason to apologize.. I learn much on here. especially how believers and non believers think. helps to understand everyones views.

I believe that ..

Titus 3:10
Warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a second time. After that, have nothing to do with him.

Is to the believer and its a reference to Yahshua's admonition to us how to judge within the Assembly..

Matt 18:15-20

"Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. 16 But if he will not hear, take with you one or two more, that 'by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.' 17 And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the Assembly, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector.

18 "Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

19 "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."
NKJV

a person in the Assemby who will not listen usually is being devise IMO..

Titus 3:10
Warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a second time. After that, have nothing to do with him

These same verses though the ch-rch uses to do whatever they want with binding and loosening. this is the Spirit for how else can he be loosed?

But thats not what the prevailent view is.. but where do they get scriptual authority to change things from Yahshua talking about an individual believer when he said..

18 "Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

This is used for whatever they want and I can not see that.. Blessings..Miles

THOSE scriptures/laws are finished, completed, fulfilled, finalized. We not longer are to do that, so why mention it? Why say things to cause up a stir?

Cowboy ...laws can not be full filled ..they can only be followed or not followed ....where do you get this stuff from?

Laws themselves can not be fulfilled no. But the laws we are given only hold power for a certain amount of time. We are given laws, then we are given prophecies. The laws hold power till all prophecies are fulfilled. Then once all prophecies are fulfilled, we are given a new set of laws. That is why we no longer are under the power of the laws from the old testament. They held power until Jesus came. Jesus has come fulfilling those laws, prophecies. He then gave us new laws, new prophecies. So again, the laws Jesus gave us hold power until all prophecies are fulfilled.

What harm comes from giving someone(s) unconditional love?

wouldn't unconditional love mean that both of atleast one of the parties involved would do anything for Love...even kill? ....so wouldn't that be an indication that harm could come from unconditional Love

also there is no such thing as unconditional love...once you claim or require that the love be unconditional you at that point in time has just place a condition upon it

Unconditional love for ALL, not just whom you choose to have it for. So no killing for someone would never be a display of unconditional love for you would be killing someone you should have been loving.

There is such a thing as unconditional love. I love you, I love msharmony, I love everyone in this world. Did I put up a condition you had to meet so that I would display and or feel love for you? No, I did not. I've never said anything rude, crude, or down right evil to you. I've not showed any form of foul emotion towards you. Again, I've never put a condition you had to meet to receive this love. That is why I spend the hours upon hours in this forum. For I love everyone whom reads these forums and only wish the best for them. So I come to show people the path Jesus has set out before us. There is no reward for me in this, nothing I profit for the hours I spend in this forum. I do this for YOU.

There are NO conditions place anywhere for love. These aren't things to do to receive the love of God. These aren't things one must meet before receiving love either. These are instructions for YOU, has nothing to do with the love of God. If one does not do these things, that doesn't mean God doesn't love them, doesn't mean God hates them. These are simply requests from a God that loves you already.
