Before any of the lazy readers on here try to start an argument about some point they think I'm trying to make, please read my comments above. I'm simply providing information that was requested. I have no point other than the ones made above, and 'here is some factual information'. Ok, please give example for shows that are for 'whites" and why that is so. I'm not sure what you mean by: having a show that is 'for' whites. I'm saying that the majority of shows that I'm aware of (as a white person) deal with subsets of our culture which are dominated by whites, and that most of the characters are correspondingly caste as white. Anyone know the racial composition of the FBI and the CIA? I'm pretty sure its even whiter than the US society as a whole, and most (not all) FBI/CIA agents depicted on TV are white. Paramedics? Mostly white, maybe? Sure looks that way on TV. Medical doctors? PhDs? Examples? Really? You can't see this for yourself? Okay, so I just pulled up Hulu and looked at the 'most popular' tab. All of the shows on the first page are caste mostly with whites. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with this. I just think this fact ought to be acknowledged when people ***** about BET. I'll paste those shows in at the end of this comment. Also, lets say there is a small community that is almost all white. If a family of any other race moves to that community they have equal opportunity for the scholarship. Minor detail here, 'community' does not only mean 'a group of people who live in the same area' - and that is not how I used the term. I belong to a community of people by virtue of my employment, another community by virtue of one of my hobbies, and a third community by virtue of another hobby. My actual neighborhood (sadly) is the least important of the communities I belong to. So we can't all enter into any community we want simply by moving. Its true that non-whites can gain access to some of the white-dominated (beyond geographic) communities, but there's a whole spectrum here. Some communities are extremely difficult for non-whites to get into. As someone who leans libertarian, I think this is as it should be. If a group of white people want to be idiotically exclusionary, they should be allowed to be so. But we shouldn't deny that this happens; a fairly visible example of this is the country club. The same can not be said about black scholarships which are nation wide. They are actually saying that unless you are our race this scholarship is not for you. Yes, yes, yes - I hope my earlier comments made clear that I agree. I am not equating the existing of white-only scholarships with black-specific scholarships. These are very different things. The white-only scholarships are incidentally white only, and categorically not accessible to many whites. This is one of many reasons that I'm sympathetic to how pissed off poor white people are about the efforts to address racial inequality. Poor white people are getting shafted. They are excluded from black scholarships, and excluded from many white scholarships. Having black-specific scholarships is really obviously racist, and fans the flames of resentment, especially among poor whites. I'm not saying they are bad thing, just acknowledging a quality and a consequence. It is still racist. And yes an Irish one would fit the same bill. I agree that both are racist - but remember, government funds are generally not used for any of these scholarships. Who are you to tell a group of Irish people they can't help put another Irish person through college? It makes as much sense to me as me telling you that you can't put your own (hypothetical) daughter through college. If a group of black people want to put a young, poor, talented black person through college - more power to them. The point about people doing what they want with their money is fine. My point is non minority organizations get called out on being racist but minority ones usually dont. I was just pointing this fact out. Just because roles are cast by white actors doesnt mean the show is targeting a white audience. If there are a lot more white FBI agents in real life than a show casting mostly white FBI agents would just be natural. As for the shows you listed I know a couple of them. I watch community. There is a study group of 7 and then of course their class's teacher. Of those 8 main characters 4 are white. Outsourced the majority is nonwhite since it takes place in india. Either way non of these shows advertise to target a certain audience like BET or other channels do. I would argue that if you can relate to a show (example the office) then you would watch it no matter your race. I would also argue that major networks are going to target demographics with their shows and you can't go off random show or the race of their actors without knowing the demographic thats actually viewing it. All you can do is make assumptions. |

All you can do is make assumptions. there IS an NAAWP , by the way, but similar to how employers get called out for racism much more often than employees its the implication that those with the most power have the most expected of them and even then, how much of an IMPACT said racism has on others is a significant contributor to how 'passionate' a response it receives BLACK PANTHERS get called out because they specifically(the new panthers not the original) use anti white rhetoric NAACP focuses on pro equality , especially in an area where INEQUALITY is historically and systematically PROVEN to exist which impacted disproportionately certain SUB GROUPS of americans the white majority in america has not had that historic necessity in AMERICA(as 'WHITES') and still does not and they also are not impacted if subgroups 'discriminate' the way that subgroups are impacted if the white majority discriminates subgroups of whites do indeed have organizations and networks but 'whites' as a group in whole are understood to already have a whole COUNTRY in place primarily for THEIR benefit,,, |

Think about this though....shouldn't college entrace be based on grades and test scores over nationality a creed......shoudlnt the smartest people be there over race? only in an ideal world where all people had the SAME opportunity at the type of education which makes them the 'smartest' and only if there were also no special preferences for children of alumni, people from CERTAIN communities or schools, students who had taken CERTAIN courses which werent offered to everyone,,,,etc,,, |

If a Tea Party activist threatened to kill the babies of his political opponents, it wouldn’t just be front-page news. It would be the subject of Democrat-led congressional investigations, a series of terrified New York Times columns about the perilous “climate of hate,” a Justice Department probe by Attorney General Eric Holder, a domestic terror alert from Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, and another Important Teachable Moment Speech/Summit from Healer-in-Chief Barack Obama. But with the racism shoe on the other foot, Team Obama and its media water-carriers are exhibiting the very racial cowardice Holder once purported to condemn. Thanks to Obama’s feckless Department of Injustice, these black supremacist brutes are free to show up on the next national Election Day at polling places in full paramilitary regalia with nightsticks, hurling racist, anti-American epithets at those exercising their right to vote and at those protecting the integrity of the electoral process. These NBPP death threats and white-bashing diatribes are nothing new to those who have tracked the black supremacy movement. In August 2009, nearly a year ago, I reported on a sign on display outside NBPP defendant (and elected member of Philadelphia’s 14th Ward Democratic Committee) Jerry Jackson’s home. It reads: “COLORED ONLY: No Whites Allowed.”
 In July 2009, I interviewed poll watcher/witness Christopher Hill, whom Shabazz and Jackson called “cracker” several times while Shabazz brandished his baton. “They physically attempted to block me,” Hill recounted. He also saw a group of elderly ladies walk away from the polling site without voting while the duo preened in front of the entrance. “If you’re a poll watcher, you shouldn’t be dressed in paramilitary garb,” Hill said, as he wondered aloud at what would have happened if he had showed up in the same sort of costume. In May 2009, I reported on the affidavit of civil rights attorney and poll watcher Bartle Bull, who witnessed the NBPP thuggery in Philadelphia and reported on billy club-wielding Shabazz’s election day boast: “You’re about to be ruled by the black man, cracker.” Like I asked, Why is the same thing spun by a white chased down and investigated as promoting violence? While blatant "Kill Cracker" is acceptable. |

These NBPP death threats and white-bashing diatribes are nothing new to those who have tracked the black supremacy movement. In August 2009, nearly a year ago, I reported on a sign on display outside NBPP defendant (and elected member of Philadelphia’s 14th Ward Democratic Committee) Jerry Jackson’s home. It reads: “COLORED ONLY: No Whites Allowed.” In July 2009, I interviewed poll watcher/witness Christopher Hill, whom Shabazz and Jackson called “cracker” several times while Shabazz brandished his baton. “They physically attempted to block me,” Hill recounted. He also saw a group of elderly ladies walk away from the polling site without voting while the duo preened in front of the entrance. “If you’re a poll watcher, you shouldn’t be dressed in paramilitary garb,” Hill said, as he wondered aloud at what would have happened if he had showed up in the same sort of costume. In May 2009, I reported on the affidavit of civil rights attorney and poll watcher Bartle Bull, who witnessed the NBPP thuggery in Philadelphia and reported on billy club-wielding Shabazz’s election day boast: “You’re about to be ruled by the black man, cracker.” Like I asked, Why is the same thing spun by a white chased down and investigated as promoting violence? While blatant "Kill Cracker" is acceptable. Mainly because media cant be everywhere at all times and they choose stories their audience wants to see/sponsors will support people are mindful of white on black racism because of its HISTORY in AMerica of oppressing a whole GROUP of people, something that WHITES(as a group) have not experienced in AMERICAS history in short, although I can see the simplicity of putting all racism on an equal keel, in reality the IMPACT of all racism isnt the same a minimum wage worker at a restaurant who has a personal bigotry against blacks, for instance, is small peas and really of little significance to me because they have LITTLE TO NO impact upon my life on the other hand, a POLITICIAN who has a personal bigotry against blacks is a BIG DEAL , because they hold the POWER to have quite a large impact upon my life likewise, I doubt anyone could argue that the BNPP has anywhere near the impact on politics(peoples lives) that the tea party does, so their isolated extremist views dont hold the same 'weight' |

There is so much to say about the power of agenda and ignorance in that vid. gets owned, seriously??? he didnt see a tape,, big deal,, the video was edited to where I also didnt see him present when the statement was made and dont know (as was said about cheneys apology) what happened outside of those edited snippets,,,, or whether in fact anybody 'called it out' where did the NAACP call out racism, how about the whole SHERROD incident on the web? youtube snippets are not the best source for anything other than momentary snapshots,, I would dig deeper to find the truth ,,,, 'the NAACP is strongly against bias, discrimination, against anybody, of any race, of any gender, of any religion, anywhere, of any form, whether its a group corporation personal individual if there has been some instances where there is somebody who has been associated with naacp with anything close to what is documented as relates to the numbers, the states, the heritage and associations connected to the tea party, I would love for ANYBODY to bring it to our attention and we will address it,,' this person went to be disruptive and get a youtube snippet and the moderators were right to ask them to leave,,,, He didn't have to see a tape, he was there, that's why I found in funny. And, you're right. The videographer did go there to be disruptive. |
