Happpy New Year Jill. Im not sure if January 1st is a Wiccan holiday or not. It varies. Like in Vietnamese culture for instance, they celebrate Tet and thats several days in the latter part of January.

Yeah I did nothing this year though. I ordered Chinese take out and that was fantastic. I have not gotten Chinese food in ages and I LOVE IT.

All of her family was there. And for Christmas she told me how when he family had come over they all left a mess. They didn't pick up a piece of wrapping paper or even take their dish to the sink... So while I was there, they started opening the last presents from grandma and I walked around with a garbage bag and told everyone I was on "paper duty" just to make a point I wasn't going to sit by and let them do it to her twice

Yeah that’s certainly rude. People should not treat others like a free motel with accompanying maid service. Any time I stay with someone I go out of my way to clean and pick up and make my bed or strip the sheets. Not make them have to do anything.

How do you go over to your own daughter's house, open presents and step over the wrapping paper on the floor? Leave your dishes where you sat and ate without a thought of picking up. All of her siblings and parents did this. I told her to tell them no more Holiday dinners at her house anymore.

I think family is more likely to do it because they are family and they feel it's permissible. My family is problematic. I moved 3000 miles from them and that’s just fine.

I agree with you but it just seems so wrong to me. The thought of doing that in my family members home, or ANYONE'S home wouldn't even occur to me. Some people just have no manners I guess. I'm sorry to hear your family is so problematic

Oh no, I love them, they are just a handful. My mother is eccentric in a lot of ways. I have an uncle who is a mooch and never reliably employed. Just that kind of annoying stuff. No worse than anyone elses family.

Hey guys, i've ventured into witchcraft but wanna get more into it. I have read most of ur posts and I think that you could help me. I have always been fascinated with the craft but never really had any teachers I grew up christian but then I really grew up and realized that the light I grew up seeing really doesn't exsist. I always new there was a true light in the craft but never got to fully venture in. Could you possibly help help?

Its a personal choice of course. No one will ever push anything on you. It doesnt work that way here. However it sounds as though you have made the decision that you simply want to explore and better acquaint yourself with Witchcraft? Is that an accurate assessment in your own words?

I made the choice long ago to get into the craft. Not just witchcraft but tarot, alchemy, and a bit more also. I just never really had a "teacher", do you know what I mean?
