why would it want to prove to itself it was not THE god? what purpose would it have to do that?

"Tribo" you ask for what purpose? .. the same purpose that it creates .....since an omnipotent God wants or need for naught it would have no need purpose or reason to create anything ...

the fact that it would create anything is an indiction to itself that it does have needs and therefore is not a God

so your equating - "need" with purpose or reason?

hmmm explain?

"Tribo" ..because it's simple logic ...you can't have a need without a reason or purpose ....God therefore cannot create without a need to do so, without a reason to do so and without a purpose to do so

and this simple logic explains clearly why God is not omnipotent and therefore not a God ...it's simply no way around this logic

Because God isn't real and the bible is a book of fairy tales.

The only way to prove this statement is to claim the omniscience needed to state it as fact. Thus - making yourself God. It is a purely contradictory statement and demonstrates a lack of understanding of how facts support an argument.

Insisting that you are incapable of substantiating a premise does not make your argument any more believable, nor does it support it in any manner. I also cant prove that Goldilocks existed or that bears can talk.

Oh my gosh funches, please tell me your not back to preaching need and purpose as a requirement in everything under creation when i already proved this kind of thinking was flawed and illogical in its assumption that a "creator" would have to have such human requirements to do something. Once again you presume knowledge prior to witnessing and even understanding such said events. Angels were in fact a compliation through Jewish mysticism (kabbalah) and early Judaism. They represented spiritual being who acted on God's behalf with man. As such one can conclude that these beings would use man's symbols as a form of communication. The sword throughout all cultures and history has represented man's connection with divine power. As an instrument of both protection and destruction. Does this mean there was a need for such symbols in actual angelic combat? No i don't believe so. The tools of war are mankind's interpatation and symbols for conflict so naturally we would attach such symbols to angels in combat. Mankind has done this over and over in many faiths. In order to understand the divine we in turn attach symbols we can associate to with it. This does not mean that the divine in any way actually uses such means in conflict. Who are we to assume there is even a conflict going on? The truth is found in symbols but sometimes like words these even fall short of allowing us true understanding and relation. We can even allow them to misguide us and deceive us. In serching for the truth we allow ourselves to come up short because we are obsessed with relating ourselves to it in some way.

"MariKuru" just because you say that my logic is flawed without any proof that it is ....is ...er.. how can I put this? ...delusional

the fact that you just called an entity "The Creator" is an indication it had a "need" to create

so please don't use the old "we humans are to dumb to understand God" excuse....because to follow anything beyond yourself that you do not understand is exactly what constitutes as being flawed logic and delusion

Could you give some scripture where this is happening.

Off the top of my head the only Angels I know of having swords are the 2 guarding the entrance to the garden of eden with Flaming swords.

Representing Yahweh is a consuming fire and the double edge sword being his word is sharper than any.

The same as we are told that we will carried a double edge sword but that will be the word the world will hate and kill for.

The maccabbeens said something about seeing an army of Angels in heaven.

But Angels anywhere I do not know it is thier. Michael fights with Satan when he is finally thrown out of heaven for good but i do not remember a sword.

I would like to see those scriptures Tibe.... Shalom...Miles

Sorry Tribo.

I do not recall Enoch in the Tanak either. Or The half Torah. Or any of the hebrew scriptures.

I seem to have many of my books missing. Some really old ones also that said different scriptures in a different ways.

I know Enoch is mentioned thier he was said to of walked with Yahweh or was his friend as though they talked like you and me frequently.

He is the only one I believe is mentioned in the NT which gives him some credence.

The Chronicles and Kings refer to the Book of Wars and Jasher just like they do to each other.

Saying as it says in the Book of Jasher.

Thier are a couple others that are mentioned I believe but really as far as being read by the Hebrew people. The others pinpoint these 2 more than Enoch. Enoch is just mentioned as being Righteous. Like Melchezidec king of Salem.

He does not have a book written after his order either.

Melchezedek was a very important figure briefly mentioned.

The Mormans claim they bought the book of Abraham from a travelor and still have it (Parts) and thier are writings about a Book of Abraham.

he I would of thought Yahweh would of had written being us called the children of Abraham by Promice..Shalom Tibe/ The Tribo Man....Miles

Hello my wizard friend (Tribo),

May the draconian goddess spare you!

Once upon a time a goddess was bored as there was nothing to do. She sat and pondered at the mundane events. She watched how her life was nulled with no challenges or excitement. She then came up with an idea and with a snap of her magic she made angels carry swords, as of other mythological beasts to entertain. She then ordered them to fight and she sat back to watch how violence made energy fizzle faster then usual. She liked this feeling and thought of more ideas to create a more exciting and creative universe such as creating the selfish, greedy, complaining, and never happy humans who always want more, more, more! Soon she will get bored with this though. She is only take a short break.

Many people always want to believe (God - Goddess) is a all good identity. Have you ever thought of the possibility that perhaps a God - Goddess is perhaps not all good-holy even though he or she created the universe anyhow.

I hope this answers your question.................................. or not! laugh

Have a great day and whatever logic you come up with is fine with me:smile:

Perhaps equal good and bad = neutral.

Good and bad created out of the minds of man.

The emotions that this god displays, jealousy, insecurity, anger, resentment, are incompatible with an omniscient being.

They are, however, very compatible with a bunch of agenda driven men.

Go figure. I think people might be better off not overlooking that point or trying to make up elaborate excuses for it.

Funches i got news for you. Making statements and assumptions without proof or evidence is flawed logic and suggests that you lack any foundations in your arguements and statements.. noway

"Maikuru"...let me guess ..you must have either been forced to take a class in logic 101 while in school or you have burn out from debating in the Myspace religious forum for to long ...because that describes the mentality of those that make statements like you just made

in other words quite griping and just debate the issues

so can you explain why "The One" couldn't exist in harmony with itself and had to make the Yin and Yang ..don't that suggest that "The One" was unbalance and needed to create balance

Exactly! You can't prove anything doesn't exist unless you're God. So stop claiming God doesn't exist as an affirmation. It's contradictory.

So many thoughts, so many replies, what to do, what to say, - hmmmm? how about nothing - laugh

nah, so i will say this - we all have our opinions be they good or bad, right or wrong, provable or not, we tend to cling to them till something changes our mind - that = growth - and this is what lifes all about.

thnx for your participation, flowerforyou

No not exactly at all. You were attempting to claim that someone was posing as god or behaving as if they were omniscient by simply declaring that the god of the bible is no more believable than a fairy tale. This is true and a person would have every right to make this claim. In fact archeologists and cultural anthropologists will often refer to the bible as nothing more than the "Christian Creation Mythology."

"Eljay"..it was "Maikuru" that said the yin and yang brought balance ...

which is an indication that something was unbalance ...and the only thing it could be was "The One"

i really hate it when ignorant people miss-quote me...... funches i stated the Yin and Yang represent a mutual balance of opposites, They in now way bring about balance because they are already in balance you goof... I love how you have progressed from making statements without evidence to where you now have to twist and fabricate what others say to try to support your flawed statements.
