yeah a bunch of rich snobby people who think their shyte dont stink,, but i got news fer em,,, it does. but there are nice rural areas around here. winchester is part of nva and its got more farming around and in it than most other places, manassas,,, places like that still have the southern charm to it. So now, it's rich snobby people in northern VA? Alrighty. Anyway, I consider Northern VA completely different than the rest of VA. I've never considered myself as living in the south. Northern VA is different than the rest of VA, at least parts of it. Technically speaking, though, it is in a southern state so therefore, it's the south though it may not resemble your idea of what the south is.  As for you, Mr. Smartass, I didn't mean that I couldn't get more southern because I live here now and lived in Charleston, I meant that you can't get much more southern than Charleston. It is definitely a typical southern town.

im not,, just clarifying something, if you were born below the mason dixon line,, then in all rights you are a southerner, like it or not,, if you live in the north,, your a notherner,, if you live in the pacific northwest,, your a northwesterner, and if you live on the west coast,, your a westerner. if you live somewhere, for more than 5 years,, your considered a local by all standards and resident,, meaning you will be called what everyone in that area is called.

I am always of the opinion that no matter how good you are at spelling or explaining yourself, most often written text just does not convey the tone of spoken text and a person's written testimony can be misconstrued as condescending ........... So now I've taken to sending voice mail ! hello OMTA

Where I live men and women both use "hon" as a form of downhome affection and we all like it here. Guess its where your from. It's being nice. Better than saying hey you or #@$*. No one takes it as being disrespectful. When I lived in Houston it wasnt used nor in Mississippi but here in Tennessee all the time. Just affection ya'll |
