A girl I went to school w/at only 24 has 6kids and none of them were multiple births. So I don't doubt it.

I support a woman's right to chose, believe in the Death penalty, and war only when we are threatened, its the last resort and its justified..

I know a girl that just turned 25 & has 3 she refuses to use birth control because conception is up to God. She isn't working & niether is the father or current boyfriend. If you get MORE assistance for each one there's no incentive to stop having them.

True but it seems like girls are having babies younger and younger and they never learn from the first mistake my sister at only 12 and in the 7th grade has had classmates become pregnant.

They take the cut off notices to social services & get emergency funds. If that doesn't work they go to a church.

Yikes. The 11 year olds at my kid's school still play with dolls and don't know about sex yet.

My mom worked at the company that gave out the heat grants and such for St. Louis. Social services referred the clients to them. You can only go once in the winter and once in the summer. And they don't cover the whole amount.

I do live in Kentucky.


My Sister still plays w/dolls to and is embaressed to even say the word reproduction.

I don't know about other states but in Kentucky people can live pretty nice w/out working. If you have children you can recieve welfare checks, hud housing, food stamps and they will even give you money for your utilities.

By Hud housing, do you mean the projects? MO gives less for food stamps than IL I know.

My Cousin hasn't worked in 3years. She has a 2year old daughter. She lives in a hud house which isn't the projects. She lives in a nice neighbourhood, 2 bedroom house. She gets enough welfare to keep herself and her daughter dressed nicely aswell as drive a nice car. She recieves money to pay her utilities and what it doesn't cover she is able to sale part of her food stamps to pay for. She is pregnant again.


Some people really know how to work the system.

Ive come into this convo a lil late but still wanna say Im definatley pro choice.. I could never have an abortion, but thats just me... HOWEVER, the government , NO ONE has the right to say what happens in or with my uterus.. period...

My reasons for wanting abortion to be legal are purely selfish.....

My mom had an abortion 45 years ago, caused damage was only able to carry 2 to term (and had problems) out of the 5 pregnancies after. Physical damage ended up causing a ton of emotional problems because of her inability to carry to term. Guess I was lucky. I have seen the result of her pain my whole life.

The only other reason is my daughters, because of my mom. I want them to be able to, if they choose, have one safely and live. I still think its about education, and some peoples lake there of, that would lower the abortion rates. I have seen to it that my kids were educated since they were old enough to ask the questions. My kids are 21, 19, & 18 working, supporting themselves and NO kids. They don't want to have to go through what they had to watch me go through to raise them. They want to be able to support their kids, when they have them, on their own.

The area I work, yes...I even did the equation to come up with the 86% because I was interested on how many it would be. Do keep in mind it only involved people with Foodstamps, not every customer that came in. This is probably correct for a lot of areas where crime is high and the population tends to be majorly minorities as based on population data and statistics. As well as the age being based off their personal appearance as to how young they appeared to me, but yes I see a lot of single women or women funding the household themselves with 4 or more kids on a daily basis.
