one last thing...you can argue until your blue in the face...and...you won't and can't change this good Catholic boys mind... Ummm...with all the cases of Catholic preachers molesting little boys....there really isn't a whole lot of room for the Catholic faith to be spouting off about what is right and wrong. " Liberals " take the most extreme case, that being a pregnancy due to being raped, because that IS the case sometimes. Of course, religion being as hypocritical as it is, I can see how they would say that it's ok for a man to rape a woman and have the woman be FORCED into having an unwanted child. God sure does work in mysterious ways, eh?? that's not exactly what is said. it's more like..."i'm very sorry you went through all that, but it doesn't trump the right of the child to live." |

Would a compassionate God NOT want the woman to go through, not only the original rape, but the memory of it over and over for the next 9 months?? |

But....the woman has no free will as to whether to have the child or not??? Interesting bit of double talk on the part of the church. of course she has free will. that doesn't make it less of a sin. people choose to sin on a daily basis. i'm more concerned with ethics, personally...and i won't even come close to debating this one on an open forum...it's too volatile, and too many people end up emotional or hurt. |

Well...according to many things in the Bible...women are considered inferior anyway. Is it all that surprising that religion would disregard any rights the woman should have in the matter? |

It seems that every religion has a primary interest in controlling women. |

ooooo
im pro life..... because i belive in a babys right to LIVE |

I am pro-marriage, pro-choice for people that pay for their choices, and pro-abortion for people that can't support the cost of their offspring.
Whichever you decide to be, don't expect others to foot the bill. |
I am pro-choice always have been. Had to make that choice with an unplanned pregnancy, I CHOSE life. I knew what my choice meant and I don't regret it. I feel I made an educated choice, talked to my mom, family, and doctor.
There are way too many women who are using abortion as a form of birth control, a good majority of these women aren't being educated and causing damage to their bodies. I have educated my daughters and feel comfotable that should they ever have to make that choice they would make the right one for them. |
POLITICALLY - pro-choice. It's not my place to legislate that choice for any woman...including my daughter if that were her circumstance and decision.
Personally pro-life - don't think I could have ever had an abortion and after HAVIng my kids am even more convinced. |
I tend to stay out of peoples business. If more people would do that, and worry about their own life and family then it wouldn't be such a problem.
I am pro choice and everyone else should mind their own. |
Each person has to do what is right for them without having to worry about being judged by someone who hasn't a clue what they are going through..I myself would love to adopt..I refuse to give my children the kind of life that I've had

BTW, whats up with the conservatives calling pro-choicers pro-abortion? That really pisses me off.

BTW, whats up with the conservatives calling pro-choicers pro-abortion? That really pisses me off. I dislike the term "prolife" especally when most who call themselve "prolife" are for the death penalty & the war in Iraq. That's not "prolife" its "anti abortion". |
