I also find an extraordinary responsibility on the part of the woman - no matter what happens.

Hence why it is MY decision and MY decision alone.

Wouldn't it be a great place to live if everyone did what they said they were going to do. Fact of the matter is, seldom does that happen.

It's sad that it seldom happens.flowerforyou

I am pro choice. Only because of 4 things.

1. There are already too many people in this world, and why bring another into this world?

2. If it's outlawed, women are still going to find a way to do it, which means more deaths, etc...

3. And in special cercumstances, as in, if its a 13 yr old, or victim of incest.

4. And if you found out that the child will basically be a vegetable because of mental retardation.

I agree 100%

You are welcome to that view Rapunzel and Im sure many actually share that sentiment, however do you or do you not feel this choice should remain in the hands of the women faced with an unwanted pregnancy for any reason?

I have posted several times in here and have gone thru and re read all the posts and stand by my first one...

What blows my mind is this.... MEN think that this is some easy decision for a woman to make.. like what color shoes to wear with her new dress...come on now... I dont think its the norm for women to use abortion as birth control, in fact i think its quite the opposite,, give us a little credit will you??

AMEN sista AMEN.

Luckily I have never been in a situation that I felt that abortion was an option for me, and I certainly won't judge anyone else for making a decision that I may have made at the time.

This whole issue is a blow in the face of women. The women carry the burden of children whether they want to or not. If a woman gets pregnant and isn't married SHE is the one who made the mistake, SHE is the one who pays the price. Men have the option to walk away. (Not that they all do, and I know some single fathers on here who the mothers have actually walked away)

As a woman how can any of us treat other women like we do? We judge them for making decisions that we never had to make in the situations we have never been in? That's just bullsh*t. No wonder there's no equality, we don't give it to ourselves for f*ck sake.

You can be against abortion for yourself. But you let other women decide for themselves what is right FOR THEM.

I expect such stupidity from SOME of the men around here, but from some of the ladies? Give me a break. It's a power struggle, and you will soon learn the more power you give away over others the more power you have within yourself.

VOTE OBAMA....

Not just men, but some women, apparently, too... Abortion is not a light matter, and in my experience the women who treat it like just another form of birth control are few and far between.

To the men who are against abortion and think women use abortion as birth control, are you sitting down with each woman before you have sex with her and discussing what to do if she happens to get pregnant?

They're not thinking with that brain at that time.laugh

But..it is the right thing to do.

Afterthought - I think, though, that there is a good chance that they will say anything that they think that we want to hear at that time.

If they're so worried about things being done their way, they should be doing this before they have sex with anyone.

I just wanted to see if any of these guys would reply . It's ok for them to say women are irresponsible and getting abortions... but they can do what they'd like, right?
