I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance Dance (Time is a wheel in constant motion always rolling us along) I hope you dance I hope you dance |

I DID see the pic and song you posted for me in your good friends thread! Thank you so much! That was beautiful! You are a sweet person& Im so glad to be back in touch with you- & I just LOVE those pastries, too! awwwww...thank you Dee , that is so cool ... wish it could be for real and not just virtual i was watching another John Denver video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKdknYaSHgE John Denver & Cass Elliot - Leaving On A Jet Plane from August 19th 1972 I think he was soo handsome & had such beautiful hair and he was such a talented clean wholesome nice guy too ohhhhhhhhh why did he have to die so young ??? John Denver Date of Birth 31 December 1943, Roswell, New Mexico, USA Date of Death 12 October 1997, Monterey Bay, California, USA (plane crash) Birth Name Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. Height 5' 10" (1.78 m) Mini Biography As the son of an Air Force officer, Denver was constantly moved from state to state and country to country. It was in Tucson, Arizona, that his grandmother gave him his first acoustic guitar, a gift that would prove an icebreaker when meeting other students at the many new schools in which he was placed. After settling with his family in Fort Worth, Texas, Denver ran away to California for a short time. He returned to Texas and graduated from high school, but soon returned to California on a more permanent basis. He began performing at Leadbetter's night club in West Los Angeles but had a major career breakthrough when he was selected to replace the departing Chad Mitchell of The Chad Mitchell Trio. He remained with that organization until 1968 when he struck out on his own. From 1969 through 1975, Denver was the top-selling recording artist, appearing on both country and pop charts alike. His peak year was 1975, during which he was awarded the Country Music Association's Entertainer of the Year in addition to being selected as the American Guild of Variety Artists' Singing Star of the Year. During this period, he tried his hand at acting, appearing as Deputy Dewey Cobb in a 1973 episode of "McCloud" (1970) and hosting Day of the Bighorn (1974) (TV), an ecologically-minded television special. His most memorable role came in 1977 when he starred opposite George Burns in the hit comedy, Oh, God! (1977). Following this, his record sales began to decline, and he made fewer movies and television specials. He became something of a political activist, with his main focus being on environmental issues. He was killed on Sunday, October 12, 1997, when the plane he was piloting crashed into Monterey Bay. THIS OLD GUITAR - John Denver (LIVE) His Best Version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m__yVh5h3e0 |

Thinking it is another screaming cold start to the day. The sunrise was indeed beautiful. thinking that even though it is overcast this morning The sun will brilliantly rise in my heart I am so thankful that i woke up today & in a warm dry home Thankful that there are other Patriots like me who also love our Country and grateful for our brave Troops who defend & protect our Freedom & i pray for their protection and safe return home soon praying also for the leaders of our country that they will have an extreme sense of conscience in everything they do and all that they say and that they will always keep America's best interest at the forefront of all of their decisions small and large |

And she's comin', Singing soft and low, Singing rock and roll. She's a joy to know. Neath the shadow Of her soothing hand I am free there Just to make my plan. Dream of faraway lands, Anything close at hand. And she will follow me. What do you know? Familiar places she's been by, And I know. Could it be she don't have to try? And tomorrow, She's a friend of mine. And the sorrow, I see her face is lined. She's no longer blind. She's just hard to find. |

thinking what a beautiful sunset it is also thinking how much i love the music of Arlo Guthrie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9h-SERr2TI Chilling Of The Evening - Arlo Guthrie beautiful song Warm me from the wind and take my hand A song is sounding, softly singing My song is cast upon the rainbow waves Forever splashing in the sunlight Prove to me there's a love still left In all of this emptiness around me Take me from the chilling of the evening Though you know my love that I must go A-following the winds that blow inside me I've nowhere left to run or hide Except if you will come and run beside me And even if you do there'll be a lot for us to do To keep believing Take me from the chilling of the evening And now my time has come down many streets I'm coming from a night decaying The song that itself sings is all alone I cannot even hear it playing Now to leave before I understand Just what it is I'm leaving Take me from the chilling of the evening Wow Micheal ....that is extraordinary ... i would Love to meet him too look at how young he was here Arlo Guthrie /City of New Orleans http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfxoM6trtZE Send "City Of New Orleans" Ringtone to your Cell Riding on the City of New Orleans, Illinois Central Monday morning rail Fifteen cars and fifteen restless riders, Three conductors and twenty-five sacks of mail. All along the southbound odyssey The train pulls out at Kankakee Rolls along past houses, farms and fields. Passin' trains that have no names, Freight yards full of old black men And the graveyards of the rusted automobiles. [Chorus] Good morning America how are you? Don't you know me I'm your native son, I'm the train they call The City of New Orleans, I'll be gone five hundred miles when the day is done. Dealin' cards with the old men in the club car.* Penny a point ain't no one keepin' score. Won't you pass the paper bag that holds the bottle Feel the wheels rumblin' 'neath the floor. And the sons of Pullman porters And the sons of engineers Ride their father's magic carpets made of steam.* Mothers with their babes asleep, Are rockin' to the gentle beat And the rhythm of the rails is all they dream.* [Chorus] Nighttime on The City of New Orleans, Changing cars in Memphis, Tennessee. Half way home, we'll be there by morning Through the Mississippi darkness Rolling down to the sea. And all the towns and people seem To fade into a bad dream And the steel rails still ain't heard the news. The conductor sings his song again, The passengers will please refrain This train's got the disappearing railroad blues. Good night, America, how are you? Don't you know me I'm your native son, I'm the train they call The City of New Orleans, I'll be gone five hundred miles when the day is done. |
