To the men who are against abortion and think women use abortion as birth control, are you sitting down with each woman before you have sex with her and discussing what to do if she happens to get pregnant?

Oh that was a serious question? I'm sorry I'll keep my laughter to a quite volume.

I just wanted to see if any of these guys would reply . It's ok for them to say women are irresponsible and getting abortions... but they can do what they'd like, right?

I have posted several times in here and have gone thru and re read all the posts and stand by my first one...

What blows my mind is this.... MEN think that this is some easy decision for a woman to make.. like what color shoes to wear with her new dress...come on now... I dont think its the norm for women to use abortion as birth control, in fact i think its quite the opposite,, give us a little credit will you??

Not just men, but some women, apparently, too... Abortion is not a light matter, and in my experience the women who treat it like just another form of birth control are few and far between.
PRECISELY!!!

do you have ANY idea how much an abortion costs!?!?!?

first trimester is at LEAST $400
second trimester (still legal in some states) STARTS at $900

yes.. such an econimical form of birth controll!!

*as a side note.. someone mentioned the "morning after pill".. in most states that is also concidered a form of abortion... *

The argument that is often espoused by the Fundamentalist Right crowd is that women will just use abortion as a form of birth control. As the past posts have indicated abortion is VERY costly. Most insurance carriers will not cover it and if they do, the coverage is only partial so most of that will be out of pocket. Obviously that is an unfounded and unrealistic argument to be made.

Youre right women too.. and for those women who feel like that.. I pray to GOD they are never ever in a position to have to make that decision... or their daughters, sisters , friends...

Absolutely. Its very important to fully understand these stats and polls and who was conducting them and what questions were posed to the public and how they were worded. If all you are looking at is the final numbers, thats worthless. The Right Wingers are great at creating biased and inaccurate points of reference.
