I have never been adicted to alcohol, but one of my best friend's died because of alcohol. He never came to see, the reality of alcoholism.
From that they I pray for every person with problems with alcohol for them to see the risks they are taking.
My heart is with all you.
Congratulations to every single one who has been able to overcome adiction.
Now is time to go ahead and reach those who are where you were some time ago, and help them as brothers and sisters.

Good Morning Everyone

My name is Jayne (Twitch) and I am an alcoholic. I am sober for 16 yrs. First drink at 13; last drink at 37, April 1, 1992 (my bottom which ended in jail).

Walked into my first AA meeting and only by the Grace of God I've never looked back. Although on ocassion I do GLANCE at my past to keep it green, I never STARE at it.

I work a program, I have the same sponsor (who also has a sponsor). I sponsor other women, I don't drink and go to meetings.

I lost my job in January 2008 and things have been rough for me. I have not felt the need to drink -- it's not an option. If any of you need to talk you can e-mail me. We are all in this together; we can't do it alone.

Got to pick up my medallion, tonight. Made the time for 25 years, Tuesday. A married lady asked me if I would come pick her up to take to the meeting. I had picked up some coffee cups, stir sticks and spoons so we didn't have to use the church's. Picked up some garbage bags so she would have a place to sit in the car. She dragged out our AA big plastic container so we could put our pamphlets and books on the table. She wasn't too worried about it being just her and me to fill the hour up because she knows how long winded I am.laugh
