Hiya Don. I'm still around.
I was thinking today about a song I have loved for a few years now. I just found it on youtube. It's about caregivers, the various types. Now this youtube link does start out with a religious tone because it is part of the Bill Gaither hour. What I would like however is for you to hear the words. I happen to know Sonja Isaacs (she is the blonde) and she told me she wrote it for all caretakers of every type. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Y2tY7O_NjA |

Hi, I'm new here this morning. My husband died of ALS or Lou Gehrigs Disease 21 months ago. Last night I almost cried my eyes out thinking about him, here I go again. I know GOD is in control of my life. Jerry has it made, he's in heaven, I just have to strive every day to make sure that when my time comes, I'll see him again. Anyone willing to share with me. There are NO singles in mt area that I'm willing to date, they either drink or smoke or don't believe in GOD. I won't compromise what I belive in.

OK, it will be 12 yrs, May 2. I realize I get alittle wierd around this day. Time doesn't seem to make things change. Little depressed, lonely, want to be alone to lick my wounds. Memories of the good & bad, realize again, she wasis the best thing that ever happened to me. Miss her more than anything I have ever known in my life. I would do anything to have just a few minutes with her again. Snuggle with her, smell her perfume, hair, body scent. Feel her in my arms & know that God is on his throne & all is as good as poss. with the world. The effect she ALWAYS had on me.

Thanks for the support. I nearly cried my eyes out last night. It's been a while since I cried like that. I guess lonely just hit really hard last night. I "Need" someone in my life, I have a 1 year old grandson, but that's not what I'm talking about. I need someone to talk to who can carry on an adult conversation, if I decide I want to just run and get a soda, they're ok with it and will go with me. I have gotten used to being alone now, it will be an adjustment having someone in my life again, but I know I am ready to move forward. Thanks again.

Jerry, known him since I was 8 years old, became the love of my life and I knew he was when we were quite young. GOD brought us together and we were married almost 28 years. I married young, 16, lots of other issues to fill in here for you to get the whole picture, but I WAS a virgin bride, don't hear that too often huh. 2 years July 20, the day after my son-in-law and day before my son's birthdays. GOD knew when to take him home. As an old rock legent sings, I WILL SURVIVE!!!!
