I want to move....

If you like warm weather, I have fallen in love with rural southern California. I live in a desert town, and the sky is beautiful at night, so much clearer then anything back east. With spring rolling in, the wild flowers will be blooming, and of course all of the hibernating critters are waking up.
There is definitely room for more people out here, and the pace of life isn't so frantic. If you don't like the cities, I highly suggest a rural south west town for moving to. I don't regret it at all. |

How's the weather

Beautiful, but the wind is supposed to pick up. We had sandstorms last weekend. Temperatures are getting up into the 80s during the day, many days, evenings drop into the 50s. The sky is crystal clear, and because I live in the middle of nowhere, is a beautiful rich black that I would NOT compare to velvet. It's more like ink. Definitely a liquid at any rate, because it is bottomless, and the stars float in it, some closer, some farther away.
My friends and family don't understand it, but I love the desert. |

Someone still trying to feed you goat chow, Lex?
Re: The comment about narcissism: I think we SHOULD be a bit narcissistic about what we want in our relationships. I mean, we are the ones that have to live with it. Shouldn't we get what we feel we need? That sounds shallow on the surface, but if each member of the party is getting what they feel they need from the relationship, doesn't that work out for the best? I don't see any problem with Lex (or anyone else) holding out for what they really want. It's just a matter of looking. Incedently: Lex, the local theater just ran a show called "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change." I wanted to let you know that the title made me thing of you. |

Hey girly. I know it's rough to loose your job. I will be out of mine at the end of the school year. I can say from experience that after a blow like that, you will probably feel better once you know where your life is going again. I know you are probably trying, but stick your energy into the old resume, cover letter and application treadmill and see where it takes you. You will feel 100x better when you have your feet back under you, I am certain of it.
Meanwhile, look of the little things that make life enjoyable. Pack a lunch and go eat it in the park, watch the skater boys take nose dives when they mess up their tricks, and make people think you are eccentric by talking to the squirrels and pidgins. Stop and admire the flowers, watch an ant nest at work, feel the sun on your skin (or the rain, which can be just as fun, if you let it be). Pet a bumble bee (this one really weird out my students!), find weird new words to use in conversations (like omphaloskepsis: it means "navel contemplation"). |

I don't mind an occasional practical joke, as long as it isn't hurtful AND you are willing to clean up after it yourself.
For example: Filling someone's office with balloons: Cool (none of these pics are mine) http://www.flickr.com/photos/borkweb/431903263/ Covering everything on their desk with tin foil: way cool, especially if you take the time to do each thing. http://www.flickr.com/photos/borkweb/428158976/ Making it look like the room is filled with Styrofoam packing peanuts: Love it! http://blog.makezine.com/archive/2008/04/cubicle_o_peanuts_prank.html Doing something that could actually hurt them (like the tack on the chair) WAY uncool. |

How about a tall drink?

I don't know what I like. I drink a little, but its pretty rare (so much so that I never know what to order when I go to a bar/The Inn). I prefer things that don't taste of alcohol, so I stick to fruity mixed drinks. I haven't found a wine I really enjoy, but I tolerate things like Riesling fairly well. I don't care for beer at all, but can drink it if required. Mead was interesting, the one time I tried it, but I didn't get more then a sip, so I don't really know if I like it.

*squeal* Adrian Paul! I had the biggest crush on him when I was in Middle School. He is the origin of my interest in guys with ponytails.
The second 'shop is great. It looks very real. The first is good, but there is a slight difference in the lighting on the faces that doesn't quite fit. That said, you are better at photoshop then I am. I am genuinely impressed by the second one, and not just because of Adrian Paul. |

I may get some crap about this, but at least it's honest...particulary number 7... She'd... 1.)be between 4'11 and 6' tall 2.)be petite 3.)have nice sleek sexy shoulders 4.)have a sexy neck 5.)be either blonde or brunette, with short-medium length hair 6.)have a nice ass 7.)have small a-cup size breasts 8.)have nice legs and small feet 9.)have beautiful eyes 10.)have an amazing smile 11.)have sexy lips, thin but lucious 12.)have a light tan or complexion Sounds like you want a gymnast or a dancer. And I don't think you can be 6' and be considered petite. You mighthave to narrow #1 down a little :P |

"Just get out there, meet people and have fun!" Yeah right. The only problem, is they don't tell you where "out there" is. Mine is "You live in a Marine town. Just pick one!" Pick one? What, are you suggesting that they are like apples or something? Grab one that doesn't have any worm holes, and who cares what he's like on the inside? Pha! Besides that, most of the ones I met still act like college guys, and there is a reason I didn't date in college. Ugh. |

I don't know. I haven't had anyone ask...
(Except one creepy dude in college that gave me the heebees and wouldn't take "No, thank you", "I don't go to bars" and "I don't drink much" as a hint.) |

Going on strictly physical characteristics, and based solely on what I see in my daydreams (so if you don't fit this, you aren't out of the running)
He's as tall as, or taller then me (I'm 5'10") He has broad shoulders Muscular. Especially through the chest. Long brown hair, well kept. Ties back in a tail. Maybe with a little curl or wave to it. Not enough to give it that perpetualy messy look though. Clear, brown eyes, similar in color to honey. A slight five o'clock shadow OR A very well kept goatee. Good posture. Slightly rough hands, from working or playing hard. |

Yes, I have.
Most often I dress nice for other reason. The whole Makeup, hair, and clothing thing has become sort of like putting on war paint and armor for me. It gives me a little more confidence, for things like meetings with my boss, or the parents of the students. I know they wont find fault in what I am wearing or how I look, at least, and it's one less thing for me to worry about. |

Nap time, art class, Saturday morning cartoons, dandelion and clover flower chains, fresh peas from the vines in the garden, honey suckle flowers, and running wild until the sun went down. *happy sigh* yeah, let's go back to that.
