Have you ever dressed to impress a crush? I wore a suit in 1987 - Funeral 1995 - A job interview 2004 - a wedding None of them turned out well. When I see someone speaking in a suit, I close my eyes to hear past the suit. Usually the suit is a form of overcompensating for a lack of... substance. |

heck yes!
i STILL carefully select out the clothes that i'm gonna wear when i go to texas. i'm sure HE probably won't notice but looking good makes ME feel good, so i do try to look nice. once it is expected and/or demanded, i stop dressing in a certain way. no one is going to exert that sort of control over me. |

I’ve never been a woman that requires a lot of cosmetic assistance and/or flashy clothing to attract the attention of men. In fact I don’t even go out of my way to "impress" another. I am who I am and that includes my physical appearance. I often dress in a very tomboyish manner as this is required for my work. I’m a very physically active person.

It's not what she wears that's counts but how she wears it.
As for me I have been guilty of trying to impress with clothing instead of impressing her with who I am. |

If I am not going to work....I dress to impress everytime I go outside my house. I wear slacks and a dress shirt to go buy dog food.
The reason is....When I am in my grubby work clothes with my hair tucked up under my hat...I am ignored by pretty much everyone. When I dress nice, EVERYONE makes eye contact, smiles and treats me in a very friendly manner...People can kid themselves all they want about "Looks don't matter"...cause they do. Besides...dressing nicely has gotten me laid more than once. |

Of course! But when I look great it's first and foremost for myself (don't mind sharing the benefit, tho) Looking good makes you feel good and then all the internal stuff shines through too. Win-win!
