get kubuntu, tis friendly and runs many micro$oft programs such as photoshop, &c.

The last time I checked, Photoshop was an Adobe program. Yes it runs on Microsoft Windows but it's not theirs.
You also need to install and configure Wine if you want to run Photoshop. Wine also has a lot of problems with Photoshop CS3.

Aspiegirl, I would make sure your Windows installation is well backed up before you try any flavor of Linux. If you try dual booting it can play havoc with the master boot record and make it difficult to boot into Windows if you get it wrong. I have also had nightmarish experiences with finding working drivers for all of my hardware. If you have any hardware that is not run of the mill stuff like I do make sure it is compatible first.

I've heard good things about puppy linux but have not tried it myself. It's small and fast; the entire OS is loaded into memory at bootup so it does not have to access the OS from the hard drive. The trade off is that you may be missing something you cannot live without.

Look to the future and where the human race is heading. In the history of the human race affordable mass transportation available to the general population is a very recent advance. This is bringing the world and all of its cultures together, faster than some cultures wanted. With further technological advancements and a few hundred years down road the human race will be much closer to a homogenous global society. When you see the future you realize that any prejudices you have now will not exist in future generations and are unfounded. Hundreds of years from now this election will be taught to future Americans as one of the most important in our history. What do you want their history books to say about you?

My last girlfriend did a similar thing. We were together for a year and she wanted to move in together which I thought was fantastic. She was talking about getting married and the rest of our lives together. Then one day with no explanation she quit talking to me. Then she moved out of the state. She will periodically email me, missing me or some other still love you bs but she will never reply if I reply to her. I have never had an explanation and that's what hurts the most.

When somebody hurts you like that you realize you don't love them. How can you? Move on.

Only once. Why pursue someone if they aren't bothered enough to write you back?

I would love to see Obama elected. However Enderra I fear you are correct. I have heard too many people where I live say "I'm not voting for him because he's black" It seems as though nobody cares about the politics any more. Their justification for this is born of fear; if a black man is elected then white people will lose their social dominance in the country. No matter what I say their minds are not swayed. It's the most ignorant thing I have ever seen.
What do they think this social dominance buys them, are their identities so fragile? I feel sorry for someone who thinks that as long as they can say they are better than another group of people then all is right with the world. Btw, I love your picture.

Thank you
I wish I did yoga to help with my chronic pain.

Yes, some people just like to feel superior to others. It probably comes down to their own insecurities. Fears that Obama will take jobs from the white man and give them to the black man. Fears that a modern day Robin Hood will be taking vengeance for the past. Back in England where I am from originally I heard many similar comments about Indians and Pakistanis, "They come over here and take our jobs and we have none." Nobody looked to the past to see what we did to their countries and nobody looked to the present to see that they were more qualified and better educated than the people making the comments.

I hate lumping a group of people into the term "they". We're all people and we're all equal no matter what our background, no matter which country we were born in.

Nothing from any other sites out there. Nothing from this one yet either. However, everyone seems much friendlier on here and the site is better put together than the rest. I've been here less than a week and am enjoying it thoroughly.

I see what you mean now. Arkdanimal sarcastically saying, "surely one of you wise pisser's can answere that!" is not very loving or Christian. The comment also reeks of someone not educated with both grammar and spelling mistakes. Normally I try not to say anything bad about anyone but it seems like this guy is just out to insult people.

The odds are pretty good in 500 years of 2 things like that coinciding.

But...
If you believe in Nostradamus' predictions then please continue to believe. Don't let anyone else sway your decision. As soon as you stop believing what you believe in then that's when you become one of the sheep. Freedom to think what you want and freedom to say what you want is what makes the world (most of it) a wonderful place.

From wikipedia:
Nastradamus is Nas' fourth studio album released under Columbia Records, and his first album to be released under his new imprint Ill Will Records. The LP was released to the public in November 1999 and was originally intended to be a release of the bootlegged second disc of I Am..., but it was instead decided, seven months after the release date of I Am..., to record an entirely new LP. It debuted at #7 on the Billboard 200 selling 232,000 copies in its first week.

The resulting Nastradamus album has therefore been almost unanimously regarded as Nas' worst LP, receiving his weakest ratings from many publications such as Allmusic and The Source. Many believe the record wasn't as good because it was rushed to be released only a few months after I Am.... Others, however, took issue with the flossy/jiggy style production on the album, a complaint mollified for some by the Nastradoomus MF Doom mashup bootleg created by Max Bedroom. However, despite the criticism leveled at the album, it still managed to receive a Platinum certification by the RIAA.

Nostradamus on the other hand was a French seer who wrote his prophecies in quatrains which are so vague and ambiguous we can apply them to almost any current event with moderate success.

As soon as you start taking advice as to what to put on your profile you're putting out there what people want to hear and not being you. Writing a profile is a difficult thing but so is meeting that special someone. Just be yourself and only put out there what you're comfortable with.

Hendrix rocks. I had Crosstown Traffic as my ringtone for a while. I changed it when everyone kept looking at me when it went off in meetings.
