Look at these passages taken from Genesis And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree. And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. Taking care of this planet and each other! I surely did not arrive at my conclusions about any of my philosophies from being narrow minded and just following along only in my ancestors foosteps. lets go to the new thread I just posted about God and Evolution and let these be in the past,,,OK! Well Ark, I realize that sounds very enlightening and politically correct on the surface, however based on your posts alone, you dont seem to follow what you preach. You very often make appearances on these forums with the sole intent of "having the last word" on as many threads as possible. You make silly remarks that are difficult to understand. On several occasions we have asked you to explain yourself or to elaborate and you become hostile and/or defensive. If the nature of your "philosophies" is that of indignant one-liners, than this is why i often find the need to point it out to you in no uncertain terms. I am a very direct person in that respect. So it has nothing to do with not hearing people out. On the contrary, I want nothing more than for those who participate on forum to offer an opinion.And if it conflicts with my own, all the better. However there is a difference between effective communication skills and intellectually stimulating debate and simply making an ass of yourself. This is my point of contention. sorry you feel that way

The scripture's do state that God formed man from mud or clay! They also point out that man's time and God's time are not the same. This could be he explanation of the "missing link"! I know this will not set easy with a lot of people of faih out there. But remember, Some guy showing up about two thousand years ago and trying to get everyone to get along and love and care about each other didn't set to well with the leaders of church and state at that time either. Just please don't crucify me, mentally or physically, I'm getting a little worn out. I made things out of Granite for about ten years, so I have no desire to even pick up any rocks any more (stoning) lol...! I do believe that there are enough intelligent people on this planet to figure out how to meet the needs of every one alive. Maybe if we start here, It will grow! Love ya

Im sorry, what do we agree on exactly? The Sumerians? I do not see what you are addressing here exactly? Can you clarify? just that no one knows for sure whether we were from creation, evolution, or as even the bibles leaves to speculation, both!

So Im not allowed to look for the origins of humans (or any life) on earth. What if I am curious about these things? What if I studied them in school. Actually many of the biological sciences are interrelated. I dont expect you to have much interest in these things though. You're allowed to do whatever you want to!

S1owhand, Either way its a bad endorsement for the religion. If the instances of stoning depicted in the bible never took place because man actually found these laws to be horrific and unimaginable than like Abra mentioned, that would only demonstrate that humans (descendants of chimps) have more compassion and are capable of demonstrating mercy. However I have to tell you that from a cultural standpoint, I find it hard to believe that not one person ever met an unwarranted death over this stupidity. Im sure it took place and the one that really bothers me is the fact that very young females (perhaps even as young as 14) might have been executed or brutally tortured for being perceived non virgins. I have a feeling that "law" was enforced to the hilt. many stoning took place, usually in the name of justice, figure that one out, you'll have to ,I can't, other than possibly people were not able to look at themselves first!

We actually agree on somathing Krimsa, there are so many misinterprtations of what actually has taken place since the first appearance of man on this earth that no one actually knows! We can only do what we believe in. This is why I have made the choice to care about others, no matter their personal beliefs. I used to ride around on a harley acting like I didn't care about anything or anyone, self included. One night I realized that I was going down a road that would end in prison or premature death. It was because of what I had experianced that lead me to that conclusion. I started really looking at all the other lifestyles available to me. Right now I'm choosing the one I have, trying to get people to think for themselves instead of buying into every little whim of greed teaching that comes along. If I seem a little out there sometimes, so be it! I still love ya, and all other humans. It does piss me off greatly when people do mean things, but I fully understand the psychology that can cause it. So I will just do what I can to try to get people to have a little respect for others! It's not an easy road, but it's the one I have chosen for now. Who knows, I may decide in the future to put the FTW clothes back on, I will always have the right to do so! love ya

I guess some people are capable of reading anything into anything. I had a guy tell me one time that he knew the U.S. was the "great beast" in the book of revalation because when the U.S. flag hangs on a pole there is blue at the top!!!! He took one little bit of info and ran with it. I guess all people with mustahes are murderers, after all, Hitler had one! not!!!!
