In small communities, where people have the motivation and communication with each other, there are many creative and well suited possibilities. It is often hard to get everyone to agree in a large community, since the people are many and the exits are few.

The land is the baseboard. Then there is language and knowledge which provide a cross reaching community resource, governments, and local organizations. Change in operations of authority is only favorable when there are other options out there so the population can reorganize in a more steady way.

I am remembering back to high school days, when there was a popular game called “stand up arm wrestle”. Two people stand at an angle with right hands (or left) grasped and feet planted on the ground. The object is to move your hand to throw the person off balance and make the move their feet. I played the game with the biggest and strongest guy in the class (and also the nicest). He simply lifted me off the ground with one hand.
