Ocarina of Time was great but I give the edge to A Link to the Past on the SNES, OOT was just too easy.

Surprised nobody has said FF7 yet

Bushisims?

Is this a new sims game? If so I might buy it!

No, it's just a mod, it caps your sims IQ at 70 points. It also allows your sim to do poorly in a college he attended through legacy admissions processes, disappear while still getting credit for military duties and yet still become the pres. The password to activate the mod is "silver spoon"

But remember when using this mod if someone attacks your sim you automatically target not the attacking sim, but his neighbor.

Imagine my surprise upon learning that Mercantus, a conservative think tank decided that conservative states were more free. Not that I don't see how they came to that conclusion.

Gun control laws are definitely going to be more strict in blue states than red states. Also there's more "redistribution" of wealth in blue states. It's not rocket science figuring out that liberals believe that there is merit in social programs like welfare and are in favor of universal health care and conservatives are not.

Liberals are more likely to believe that one can't really be free unless they have access to acceptable health care, without your health how can one be free? Conservatives would view this more as the government is forcing me to pay for someone's medical bill I should be free from this and they should be free to just be sick.

You could also say the South before the Civil War was more free, they were free to own slaves the government didn't tell them they couldn't have slaves...thus more free.

Also conservatives tend to acquiesce to government intrusion in regards to wiretapping its own citizenry, spying on internet usage etc when it's for national security.

If we simply define freedom as less government intervention, well that is a basic tenant of conservative ideology. I see freedom as being more complex.

Regardless, I have never done anything in a red state that I could not do in a blue state. I'd rather smoke pot than buy a gun any day of the week. I'd rather go to a science conference than attend mass on Sunday. I prefer living in blue states (mostly on the coast) because of the large diversity and having such close access to all sorts of foods and cultures from all over the world.

Anyone care to see quality of life index for countries around the world? How much do you wanna bet you'll see a lot of so called socialist countries on that list?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quality-of-life_index

How bout lets look at GDP per capita by state
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._states_by_GDP_per_capita_(nominal)
lots of blue states high on that list.

You could take all the diet advice and just do the opposite, it'd probably be horribly unhealthy, wonderfully delicious, and hilarious all at once.

Remember nothing should go in your mouth without first going into a deep fat fryer. Anything can be fried...ice cream, candy bars, if you wanted to you could make a philly cheesesteak coat it in breading and fry it up.

Chubby Hubby Ice Cream from Ben and Jerrys...just check the label.

When people diet they say to drink more water....you go ahead and drink less, load up on soda...empty calories.

They say to eat slower and chew so your brain can catch up to the satiation signal....you eat like Joey Chestnut on crack, cram as much down your throat as fast as possible.

Don't forget bacon, bacon goes with anything and adds a nice caloric boost.

They say to not eat a lot at night, 9:00pm is now known as dinner the sequel, and 1:30 am will complete the trilogy.

Carbs are your friend, your meals should revolve around heavily processed empty carbs.

Vege Oil is okay, butter is better, but lard....it's called lard for Pete's sake, use it, love it.

Watch big people at grocery stores, I don't see them in the vege/fruit sections...do you? They know where the calories are, find them in the freezer section with the TV dinners.

High Fructose Corn Syrup known as one of the major causes of obesity, you can just call it "miracle tonic that goes on top of everything"

never really saw the appeal of tanning. I just spend more time outside. Kinda funny though back in the day people considered fair skin to be more appealing because it meant the person was of the noble class rather than the peasant farm class.

America is plagued by a poor educational system, a corrupt and ineffective judicial system, a corrupt and ineffective congress, a greedy banking industry, a common sense deprived society without any work ethic,an over-taxed and over-regulated financial system regulated by under-regulated regulators, etc...

I don't blame Russia at all for switching. I would switch too until I saw VAST improvments with America and their finances.

Please spare me the drama. Have you seen our universities? Notice all the students with the last name Chan, Shanti, Champanasapun, or any other obscene combination of letters that makes any attempt at pronunciation futile. All these people left their country to come here to go to school. We aren't jumping the border to get into Mexico now are we?

You want to see a corrupt law enforcement system, check out Mexico (I went as a study abroad student, the first thing I saw was my host brother at the age of 14 bribing a cop with a wad of bills, not the first time I saw that there), or better yet lets take a look at Russia. Hmm do you really trust Putin. After his term was up Medvedev won (he was Putin's chief of staff), suddenly and coincidentally Putin was made Prime Minister and the powers of the Prime Minister expanded...hmmm. Dude was head of the KGB in Germany during WW2, hmm some journalist printing anti-putin stuff ends up dead from radioactive poisoning...

Our work ethic? Sure I sometimes have issue when I compare it to China and Japan, but compare it to European countries. When's the last time you got a siesta at work, or you had a 30 hour work week (most of France).

Yes we have our issues too many people living off far too much credit, materialism commercialism etc. Capitalist systems promote greed but it also creates competition and jobs.

I wouldn't go around saying oh the US is the greatest ever but we do a lot of things right, talk to more immigrants to get a better perspective.

It's not idiotic, it's an example of how our behaviors were shaped by evolution for a hunter gatherer time period.

If you were a caveman sitting at home with the rest of your little group and saw another group coming toward you...most likely they weren't coming over to play some Yahtzee, they were coming over to bash your head in with a rock and take your women and food.

People like to peer through history with glasses that are seemingly so rosy tinted as to be opaque. The people who inhabit the earth today are far more civilized than any other time in our history.

People are social animals, you had a better chance of survival if you stayed with the pack. I guess I conform to society because I choose to go to work and make money instead of hunting for my food and trying to build a house with my own bare hands. If you truly have a distaste for governance than try living without running water, electricity or any other modern convenience. Without the stability of rules and laws we would not have the security nor would we all pool our resources to create inventions, art, knowledge, etc.

Don't let the media bad news get you down. In my lifetime the vast majority of strangers have treated me just fine, they either leave me alone, or we have a pleasant little chat. I've helped strangers fix a flat tire and I've been helped out of a bind by a stranger before. And I live in Philadelphia.

Yes Mandarin is the official language and most will understand that in China. Of the dialects, I think most americans if they've been exposed it'd probably be to Cantonese. I'm taiwanese and can understand taiwanese but I can't speak it...go figure. The official language there is also mandarin.

Tough language for americans to learn because the sounds are so different and there are 5 different accents so the inflection you use on words change the meaning. For example (ma) can be mom, horse, scold, or kind of as a modifier to change a phrase into a question (ie Ni how ma? = how are you and Ni how = hello. But the grammar in chinese I think is simpler than most languages, like, there are no tenses, you use context to determine the tense or you actually mention the time like instead of saying "I went to the store", which is the same as "I'm going to the store" you might say "yesterday, I went to the store".

wow I see some people here watch some real anime (by that I mean not just DBZ, Naruto):

I'd be hard pressed to only list 5 but

Ninja Scroll
Akira
Baki Grappler (preferred the second series)
Kenchi History's strongest disciple (one of the funniest series I've ever seen)
Samurai 7 (based on the movie Seven Samurai)

Also started watching Aquarion which is pretty good. I liked Initial D and Full Metal Panic as well and the first 2 episodes of Basilisk shows promise, but I'll judge after I watch a few more.

I tend to like the more martial arts/samurai/ninja type animes than the drama or big robot type. Anyone with recommendations feel free to pass them along.

Next time tell them that you are in fact General Mohammed Jassim Ali and have come back as a zombie. And if they don't stop trying to sell off all your possessions you will find them and eat them.

Or tell them that your name is Katarina Ochensky you are a hot russian model that would love to meet him for a hot sexual encounter but need money to help you escape from the russian mafia.

Christians have had their Holy Crusade and their Spanish Inquisition. The Christian religion has been used to nearly decimate Native Americans along with other native groups like the Aztecs and Incans.

I don't group Christian zealots with all Christians, most of whom of pleasant decent people. And I wouldn't group all muslims and people of arabic descent with terrorists.

This person acts like 9/11 was the most horrendous thing in the history of mankind. Tragic, sure, do people have a right to be angry, of course but if viewed in historical context...we did drop 2 atomic bombs in Japan, how many little kids and babies and old people in hospitals did that kill? Japan seems to have gotten over it and don't hate us anymore. In historical context there have been far greater tragedies.

I have a feeling that this kind of reaction is what the terrorists want, they'd prefer it for americans to attack and denigrate all muslims and people of arabic descent since it gives them the ability to recruit and continue a cycle of war and hatred.

Is it the same with other activities or just work? If it's like that with a lot of things then it could be ADD....talk about it with your doc. If it's just with work, then maybe you simply hate your job.

I can say with certainty that other animals display homosexual tendencies. We just received some transgenic mice where I work and I needed to expand the colony so I set up breeding cages. Once the pups are weaned I separate the males and females so I don't get unwanted breedings. I was looking at a cage the other day and noticed a mouse humping another one, the cage was supposed to only house females so I checked it again...yup all female. I've also seen a female sneak up on a male, jump on it's back and start humping away, pretty friggin funny.

we use all of it, but not at once. It's a silly myth that was pushed by pseudoscientists trying to prove that people can bend spoons with their minds. Much like the whole Einstein was a slow kid is used by parents to show kids that they can also achieve or become a genius later in life, he was actually an incredibly smart kid who got good grades and read advanced books as a child.

I don't have kids but I've smoked pot, quit for a few years, smoked again, then quit again. I guess if I did have kids my reaction would depend on a lot of different factors. The age of the child, their attitude, grades etc.

If I notice a change in behavior like skipping school or poor grades or not doing the things they need to do to be successful then I'd get on them in a hurry for it. But I was a straight A student in highschool before I started smoking pot my junior/senior year and I was still a straight A student after, graduated 3rd in my class with a 1500 SAT score while taking my math and science classes at a local college. My first 2 years at college I didn't smoke any pot at all my grades were okay but not great, about a 3.0 average. I smoked pot my last 2 years and raised it to a 3.3 overall and a 3.5 in my bio classes and got a 34 on my MCATs (it's around the top 85th-90th percentile among premed students). When I say I smoked pot, I smoked good sinse bud on a daily basis (yes, everyday for a few years) but I would never go to class high and I would wait till I was done studying before smoking.

Some people screw up their lives on pot, some people smoke it but still do what they need to do. Some people play too many video games and do poorly in school, or they're just lazy and don't care and do poorly. Responsible people who smoke pot, are usually still responsible.

I regret starting to smoke cigs far more than pot but since I do smoke cigs I figure I should smoke pot as well.

study by harvard university dept of experimental medicine. Oncogene is a highly respected journal amoung cancer researchers. This study showed that THC inhibited lung tumor growth in mice by as much as 50% and inhibited it's ability to metastasize (spread and become malignent). It's also been shown to have anti-angiogenic (it stops blood vessels from infiltrating the tumor and feeding it thereby slowing cancer progression) properties in various cancers including glioblastoma (one of the most aggressive cancers).

If you're trying to find someone who likes you for your personality you need to try a bit harder to shove your personality into your profile. Go read other people's profiles find a few you just find interesting, different, fun to read. I think that if you have a well written profile a friend should be able to read it without knowing who it is and just be able to tell it's you.

I think too many people say I am this or I am that. I am down to earth, I am funny etc etc. If you can show it rather than outright say it, it leaves a better impression.

Seems a tad defensive IMO. Just lines like "I don't take any BS" (does anyone ever write I'm willing to take all kinds of crap from people?) And "only the truly brave need to apply". It just doesn't feel welcoming. I also think the smiles in the other pictures seem more natural and thus more attractive. Perhaps have someone take a picture of you while you're doing something you enjoy (like in the other pics).

It may just be me, but I prefer the non cookie cutter profile. When you see a lot of profiles the ones that just list activities you enjoy gets a bit dry. I think writing profiles is tough but people should try to inject their personality into it. Anywho good luck.

3000 clicks away, and most likely live 20,000 miles away. Once you find mutual matches you get a boost for a short time but then you have to wonder, are they just clicking on everyone just to see who they match up with.....just like I just did?
