WOW! WHAT A LETTER!

Letter from one 'Angry Woman'
I don't know who wrote it but they should have signed it. Some powerful words.. This woman should run for president.
Written by a housewife from New Jersey and sounds like it! This is one ticked off lady.

'Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001?
Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan , across the Potomac from our nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania ?

Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?

And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was 'desecrated' when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet?...Well, I don't. I don't care at all.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia

I'll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry for chopping off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.

I'll care when the cowardly so-called 'insurgents' in Iraq come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques.

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide .

I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights.

In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care.

When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college-hazing incident, rest assured: I don't care.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank: I don't care..

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed 'special' food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being 'mishandled,' you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts: I don't care.

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled 'Koran' and other times 'Quran.' Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and-you guessed it-I don't care!!

If you agree with this viewpoint, pass this on to all your E-mail friends.. Sooner or later, it'll get to the people responsible for this ridiculous behavior!

If you don't agree, then by all means hit the delete button. Should you choose the latter, then please don't complain when more atrocities committed by radical Muslims happen here in our great Country! And may I add:

One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

There are several problem I always have with this sort of rhetoric. The primary problem is bringing god into it. We are one nation under many gods. Perhaps my god is not your god?

Perhaps I do not worship god at all? This type of post is exactly why I stay out of the religion and politics forums.


P.S. I knew a couple of people and several of my students had relatives that died in the World Trade Center.

My problem with it is that not every muslim is a terrorist, the same as not every christian is a kindhearted and compassionate person.

So I give my respect and admiration to the individual and refuse to allow anyone to influence my opinion of an entire group, based on the actions of a few. That's bigotry at its finest, in my opinion.

I can understand this woman's anger. I think we have all thought similar things at one time or another but to NOT care?

I do care.....I care about the state of our world. I care that people are hurt everyday. I care about people I do not know. I care about peace.

The problem is mankind, we destroy far more than we create. We breed only to watch them go off and fight for something we neither believe in the cause or the reason, but we have no choice...because if you are not in the armed forces, you better hope you are rich already...

the only thing i can say is this:after we (yes i said WE)started the war with Iraq,we have scattered so many troops through out the world,we have very few left to defend our homeland

islam does not preach terror and people that do it in the name of islam are fanatics, but to desecrate a holy book is offending the same muslims that are telling the terrorrist that they are wrong, dont u c the problem here...

There are many Muslims here in Florida...He!! they own about every 7-11 type store in the state...They are good hard working people....They should give lessons on customer service as many of the So called American stores seem to have none!!!!!

Christians have had their Holy Crusade and their Spanish Inquisition. The Christian religion has been used to nearly decimate Native Americans along with other native groups like the Aztecs and Incans.

I don't group Christian zealots with all Christians, most of whom of pleasant decent people. And I wouldn't group all muslims and people of arabic descent with terrorists.

This person acts like 9/11 was the most horrendous thing in the history of mankind. Tragic, sure, do people have a right to be angry, of course but if viewed in historical context...we did drop 2 atomic bombs in Japan, how many little kids and babies and old people in hospitals did that kill? Japan seems to have gotten over it and don't hate us anymore. In historical context there have been far greater tragedies.

I have a feeling that this kind of reaction is what the terrorists want, they'd prefer it for americans to attack and denigrate all muslims and people of arabic descent since it gives them the ability to recruit and continue a cycle of war and hatred.
