Do I dare to dream today...?
Do I dare as I rattle the bars of this insipid "so-called cage"...:

Just a few hours ago dirty water had started to trickle
Just a few hours ago I was given a choice: "The Cage or The Sickle"

-"You must pay for your crimes..." is the theme involved-
You must know I kept my head, but now I'm covered in a stinging balm

The crowd started to thicken, all eager for the screams
The crowd had faces I knew, "Wanna trade places?", "In your dreams!"

There was a "retribution infection" in almost everyone,
Their infection grew, a retribution timed to the setting sun

-"It's all a little harmless fun, ya see?
It's just a bit of fun so I'll feel better about what you did to me"-

The muscles twitch & spasm as the balm seeps further in,
and chants & screams greet the evenin'...

...and as I see the last rays of sunlight,
the cage slowly lowers into a water filled pit & me into fright

Something in the water made the balm sting even more
"Something tells me I should've carefully weighed my choices before."

Far into the night heads rolled off the chopping blocks,
Far into the night,arms & legs struggled against keyless locks

But let's get back to me, thrashing in my cage, water up to my neck
But little did I know of the cruel gifts retribution can send(?)

All the victims & their families came to taunt the accused,
All the while I beared their darting feet, but something worse ensued

For the victims my death would be a special treat
For the labs had designed aquians that loved the taste of meat

With "Die, you bastard", they removed the lids & emptied containers
-"With every bite he felt, "The End" was closer, no disclaimer.-

And through all the screams, retribution just about settled its case
And when they stopped, all the little simians were cleansed of rage.

-"The sun has set many times on 'Retributiion Hill', it's a sight...
The bones struggle in the locks, all the skulls look to the light.-
