“Mask” Each time I look at the screen at a name. I wonder do they think this is but a game. Why is it, some seem to have no concern. On their next victim they seem to burn. Sure it is the internet and all. But why make someone feel so small? Does it give them such a thrill? By playing one and giving them a raw deal. Is it really to much for one to ask? Just to be honest and not wear a mask. Am I really all alone? In thinking we were all grown. So why do some act like a child this way. Instead of being real they just want to play. I have seen it happen so many times to some. I wonder what this world has become. What happened to the way we were taught? Am I the only one that has that train of thought? As I sit back and look at things this is what I see. This is not the way life should be. We need to look around. And not take others down. Treat others the way you would want to be. So very true I see and hear of this happening more then I care to. Myself sure I'm more cautious due to those that seem to want to play. Now I'm at the point in my life I don't give much slack with those that are not honest. 
Kc it is a shame that is how this world really is but so true I just hope that I have taught my kids and granddaughter better....

I thought all people were real when I first got on the computor. Unfortunately I learned real fast all about masks... I can't understand it myself. Guess I was a bit naive about that too, in life as well. I always thought there was good in all people, till I learned that was'nt always the case. I deffinately believe in the treat others as you would like to be treated saying. |

Appearances can be so deceptive (most times) even those who claim to be gentle, caring, well educated.........etc, can still be wolf in sheep's clothing. I guess it makes them feel empowered to put others down and to decieve. Once again you have spoken like the true person I have come to know. Brilliant write.

Unfortunately, there are those that play games, in real life and the internet. I am not as carefree and trusting as I once was. I hate that caution is now required when meeting someone. Let's hope we did teach our children better. Nicely done.

Nicely done. I am not sure why people tend to hide, maybe they don't like who they really are and so they re-creat themselves on-line into something they think will be better than the person they are. Unfortunatly you can't keep your true self hidden, it will come out one way or another.

Awwwwwwwwwwww MsTeddy a few years ago when I first decided to get a computer and get online I myself was very naive to the ways of the internet. I have learned a few lessons the hard way. Some were not very pleasant at all......

I think that those who choose to wear a mask while attempting to victimize are hardly subtle and, while they may believe they are revealing something about their "prey", they are, in truth, revealing something about themselves, on multiple levels. |

I am not sure why people tend to hide, maybe they don't like who they really are and so they re-creat themselves on-line into something they think will be better than the person they are. Unfortunatly you can't keep your true self hidden, it will come out one way or another. True sooner or later they will mess up just have to be careful and watch what they say....
