what about those who make a

false accusation of sexual misconduct

what should happen to them

should they not get the penalty

they are subjecting their target to

(i think so)
for those hun they should be publically humilated..named and shamed ...falsley accusing someone is so wrong as it makes the system harder when catching the real ones

i do not think that is near enough

they should have to register as a false accuser

and serve some time

public humiliation is over with a 100 mile move

Some people can actually turn around....and sometimes they may be convicted of 'rape' when it really wasn't. But in the cases where it is obviously really rape and there is proof of this....castration! And then build them their own little colony on an island somewhere...They can't breed so they would die off eventually. JMHO

you know peeps, after being raped, sometimes sex always feels like your being raped, even though your not. i know since that happened to me, if a guy is rough with me,i feel like im being raped over and over again, even though im not. just not a nice feeling to have.

im just trying to explain to people who havnt been raped exactly what it does to you.

will i ever enjoy sex again, and never feel scared again having sex??? the answer is NO.

The sex offender registry is rather odd in how it works, once one is on it they are marked for life...but some that are on it really didn't commit to terrible of a crime, of course the rapists, molesters, and what have you should be on it but then they have people on it over charges that are a complete joke compared to these.

the worst thing i think is once they serve there sentence they are given places to live, yeh you can look it up and find out who is an offender but if you get a guy moving next door to you, you dont think oh yeh he looks like a rapist

i couldnt live next door to a rapist, or even in the same street. that would make a nervous wreck!!!

I think they should be shot!!!

I always thought of having them neutered like dogs.
i agree
of course any one who harms children should be put on the torture racks

I think it needs to looked at differently and used in a manner to where it helps people as a whole, rather than putting people on it over joke charges put the serious charges on there. The biggest argument I have is a case that happened a number of years ago where I used to live, a guy rented a motel room and as room service entered he was caught in a rather terrible circumstance with a blow-up doll...and he was required to register with the sex offenders registry par the court. That is the problem with it, I don't care if room service walked into a room someone paid for and they are engaged in acts with a sex doll, I'm more concerned with the guy that raped the 14 year old girl or molested 13 year old boys.

i think rape to a child is the worst thing ever. rape to anyone is bad enough, but to a child, is totally sick.

i wonder what goes on in the mind of a rapist?? what makes them pick that paticular child or adult. that would be interesting to know, even though i wouldnt want to know. sometimes its best we never know.

yeh thats a bit daft he was on his own with a doll, in private sometimes things are taken to far ....then the serious ones arnt

Well for all those that say they would not live within a certain distance from a sex offender. I would suggest you to pull the site up in your state and list your zip code I promise you they are closer then you think no matter where you live or how rich or poor the neighborhood is they are there. You would be suprised indeed.huh

we had a guy live round the corner from us , released from pyschiatric ward, was on meds, he didnt take them once , ended up roaming our street half dressed, he stroked mt sons head before i could get him in, told another young boy he was going to heaven soon and another young boy what it feels like to have your head taken off, i had a right go at him and a neighbour beat the cr*p out of him before the police took him away, but he got released because of his mental health, luckly he died set fire to his flat, but how could they release him, he obviously had a thing for little boys..i was furious

Ok, so a little while ago, I was looking at this website that Derek posted a link to. www.familywatchdog.us

Anyhow, as I was looking throughout my neighborhood, I saw three different guys that were convicted of rape, 1st degree. I was wondering if you think people like that should have a second chance, living in our neighborhoods?

Me personally, I would rather not have these kind of people living anywhere near me.grumble

This should stir up some stuff today! Hopefully not in a bad way!
put them on an island, and pay to game hunt these people. jmo lol

Their cops, not psychologists. When it comes down to an issue like that there is usually nothing that can be done by the court due too the mental health of the individual, a psych exam can be requested by the public in some places look into your options.

just out of curiosity

where are they supposed to live

just because one commits a crime against another

does not mean they would do so to you

there is no justifiable excuse to commit a violent crime

but in their mind it may have been a vengience thing

i hear all the time rape is more

a power issue than a sexual issue

if they have no reason to have power over you

then the chances they would rape you

would go down wouldn't they

----------

disclaimer

i am a guy (altho handicapped and a possible target to violent crime )

i can not understand the rape issue from the female outlook

i can only relate by what i have been exposed to
