If you read the begining of this thread madman posted a link: http://www.issuesandalibis.org/ Its only plagarizing when you take credit for somone elses words, I have seen lots of "quoting" back and forth on these threads, thats totally different. If you're going to bash someone at least be aware of what you are accusing them of first before doing it.

If that were the case all our country's problems would go away at the end of this year... a lot of things are his fault, whether he was actually involved or not. the president has the final say on many things. and really, it takes almost a full term to fix the previous guy's screw ups |

Have you ever served in the military? 2 times Persian Gulf and Mediterrenean. I've also been to Gitmo. Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. I risked my life on a daily basis. I was honorably discharged. i really wish Bush actually was responsible for everything that's messed up in our government. If that were the case all our country's problems would go away at the end of this year... Sadly, the long term damage will last far into the future. Our debt is climbing at a staggering rate due to the illegal war. Our world reputation is tainted so bad we may never get it back. We are considered no better than the terrorists that we claim to be fighting now. The country is so divided. Bush was a master manipulator and polarizer. He has done far reaching damage. I know that all the blame does not lie on one man, he had plenty of help but his agenda followed him into the whitehouse and then spread like a disease throughout the country.

I heard on the radio not too long ago that two women with Down's Syndrome were used in a suicide attack. They put exploding vests on them and sent them into pet bazaars. They detonated the bombs by remote control. You have to wonder what kind of monsters would use mentally disabled women like that. |

mnhiker, I am getting tired so I hope I am clear here...lol I understand your logic but to preemptively strike a country not responsible for 9/11 was a terrorist type action. Sure, all dictators justify their actions by saying that they were doing something for the good of the people, all dictators say this. It is not true. We are there for his personal agenda. Other countries are now looking at us as a terrorist nation. We are not to attack sovereign countries like that. I understand about Saddam and his regime, but he had been working his regime for a long time. We do not save countries from dictators nor do we democracize them because we "feel" like it, it is a violation of the world laws of respect for independent nations.
Just because they do, doesn't make it right for us. Terrorist come in all kinds of forms and backgrounds, etc... The terrorists who struck us are only one of the many kinds and locales that they are. We should not assume that just because it is arabic blood we are taking that we are right and just. We do not stand right in the view of the world on this and we cannot make it right. I am going to bed, good night

mnhiker, I am getting tired so I hope I am clear here...lol I understand your logic but to preemptively strike a country not responsible for 9/11 was a terrorist type action. actually of you recall Bush assembled an invading force in Kuwait with the blessing of the UN. Saddam was playing his games with the UN and defied resolution after resolution. The UN dropped the ball by allowing Saddam to play them and left the invading force sitting around. Any military person will tell you that you cannot have a military force on stand down for a long period of time. They loose their focus and become complacent which leaves an invading force in a dangerous predicament. Bush had two choice, either attack at the point he did or return the military back to the States and wait for the UN to come begging because had Bush retreated Saddam would be boasting the US retreated and he would be claiming victory. It wouldn't be long after that that the UN would be begging Bush for the invading forces again and this after Saddam had time to build up his defences. The terrorists know no borders and if the US wasn't in Iraq and keeping those terrorists busy then those same terrorists would either be on US soil or in Afghanistan. The terrorists can not be reasoned with and only know one thing so they got go first or we face the consequences... |
