I think you completely misunderstood what I was saying. Again you used your favorite word and used it incorrectly laugh drinker .

come on "Chazster" even you knew you sounded delusional on that argument but I'm real proud of you that you didn't try and introduced one of your millions of unproven scientific scientology theories to try and prove your point that a stone is not a rock

See there is your favorite word again. Too bad he still doesnt know what it means, or what scientology means, or that I never even mentioned the word stone or rock, nor did I refer to them in any way.
And that my unproven science are the laws of physics. laugh

The point is that your guess is as good as mine.

It's so ambiguous that all we can do is guess.

My guess is that it's made up mythology. bigsmile

I'm happy with that. flowerforyou

Thats right we don't know.
Life would be pretty boring if we knew all the answers.

"Chazster" it seems like you are trying to put a new spin on what the bible meant by eternal to suit your needs like you eternally accuse me of doing ...so does your same eternal theory also apply to the supposely eternal God

I agree, that the wonder of all the mythology is very interesting and it does give a glimpse into the minds of the past theologists. Taking it literally is the mistake. This applies to all texts of the past even the bible.

well "Chazster" that may explain why God do the supposely irrational things like create imperfect humans then flood the planet and drown everyone because they are imperfect....because he is bored out of his gourd

Well I sure don't see how you could possibly come to that conclusion at all. On the contrary a psychotic sociaopathic serial killer would not be following the bible very much at all. The average believer tries his best to follow God's laws.

it's simple..a psychotic sociaopath when they hear the voice of God commanding them to do something will most likely do it without question...your average believer wouldn't and would just blame their failing to do so on their imperfections

I am amazed that you would even say something like that...it is pure lunacy. I doubt that type of person would do anything God commanded them to do because he is already following Satan without question. The average believer is not a killer. They try not to sin. The average believer doesn't just blame their sins on their imperfections... they ackowledge them and try not to sin to start with and if they do sin they try and make atonement for that sin.

sorry "imageorgiagirl" but the more religious a person is the more delusional they will appear to be

OK if you want to think I'm delusional or that religious people are...so be it...at least I am not asinine. You can think whatever you want to. So what if I think you are wrong or if you think I am? It will not change the truth either way. I will still treat you respectfully and wish you well. flowerforyou  flowerforyou

This is so true. People don’t seem to realize that the traits they give to God would be BORING!

Poor God. He has to burden all this crap for human’s sake. God can’t be surprised by anything.

The idea that he gets ‘happy’ over something and ‘sad’ over something else is absurd because he would know that all those instantaneous acts are meaningless because he already knows the outcome of the end game.

The idea of an ‘emotional’ all-knowing God is utterly silly.

Also, the idea of a ‘perfect’ heaven is just as silly.

Pantheism is the only view of God that actually makes and SENSE.

The pantheist God doesn’t know what’s going to happen next any more than you do! Because the Pantheistic God is you!

It’s so obviously true. Who needs a book to explain it? Just live it! That how simple it is. It's PERFECT.

That's all anyone can say.

Be true to yourself cuz God created YOU!

Makes sense to me. And I am YOU! (in this instance)

I didn't call you delusional..I said the more religious a person are the more delusional they would act or appear to be ..for example some will say they hear the voice of God and that God told them to kill ..so "imageorgiagirl" if you heard God's voice asking you to kill someone.... would you kill

George Bush once said that God told him to invade Iraq!

He should have been hauled away in a straight-jacket right then and there! I think he might have even actually said that BEFORE the actual invasion was implemented too.

Where were the men in the white coats when we needed them?

Where was Funches then????

geez "Abracadabra" I know you are looking for a nifty way to sneak in a discussion about the Iraq war but why blame me if George Bush wants to start another one of those King Arthur Christian Crusades to bring chrisitianity to the middle east

I know you didn't call me delusional directly. I can understand how you arrived at that general conclusion though. God seems to be just an imaginary friend to some I am sure.

And to answer the question you asked. No I wouldn't kill anyone unless they were threatening to kill me or someone helpless in front of me. I am not even sure if I could do it then. I've had a gun held on my neck before and didn't kill or even kick butt then for the record.

I can't say that I know what God's voice sounds like. I have never heard his voice literally that I know of. He didn't talk to me when I died or at any other time that I know of either. I know there are people who believe he talks to them. Maybe he does. I don't know...

1. Clearly everything is your fault.

2. I don't want to discuss anything.

I never said I believed this. Abra knew what I was getting at. His post he was wondering that since the bible said those who believe in Jesus would have eternal life and wonder if people who didn't wouldn't have eternal life. (this is based on the way the text was written) I simply made the point that if they wouldn't have eternal life that doesnt mean their life would have to stop at death, it would just stop somewhere. I no way advocated that I believed this, it was just another way of analyzing the text he was talking about.

Quit saying I am trying to suit my needs. I don't have an agenda, I was just pointing out an observation.

and that "imageorgiagirl" is what I"m talking about..that there are those that claim to hear the voice of God and the religion teaches one to follow God without question and have faith that what one is doing is the will of God and the bible teaches one to follow all the laws set forth by God including stoning unruly children to death plus a number of other little horrors God requires one to follow and that is what I meant by the more religious the person are the more delusional they would act or appear and that only a psychotic sociaopathic serial killer could ever follow all that God commanded and that they rest will burn in hell
