undecided.. i understand  "Chazster" how can I answer such a question unless I was in such a situation ....now let me reverse the question on you... let's say the guy did bomb the school and killed all the children but the bomber got away and one day your child was hanging on the side of a cliff and you couldn't save the child but the bomber could and his wig fell off and you discovered that the bomber was your next door neighbor now what if the bomber tells you that he will save your child but only if you promise never to reveal or help to reveal to anyone that he lives next door to you...now what would you do which means you should understand if he let your child falls off the cliff I would at that point proceed to try and kick the bombers butt and turn him in to the police while consoleing myself in knowing that my son wasn't really dead but in the other demension with God waiting on me to see him again someday. And I would know I tried to do what I could to save him. Then I would ask to be forgiven by God for telling a lie and going redneck on the bomber. I would also have the satisfaction of knowing that if the bomber had no remorse for his crimes his evil soul will be punished by the creator of his soul. |

Most of the time I do leave the vengeance up to the Lord but in this situation...I would probably kick some butt of my own too. I would be sinning to try and save my child. God would understand that I wasn't doing this to spite his commandments.

But if someone is trying to kill me or torture me or someone who is helpless in front of me then that is different.
