So, how are you going to sit here and tell me on and on again that Weed is terrible?
I know weed is bad. I get that.
I'm not merely telling you that "weed is bad". I haven't spent my entire life hearing that it's bad and based my decision on that. I have done extensive research on the subject so that when my children reach the age I should be concerned about their potential use I have already given them relevant data.

I am aware that there have been documented cases of improvements in various aspects of health. Yet, the totality of these cases pales in comparison to the number of documented cases of deteriorated health as a result of usage.

The point you just proved that you missed is that you have been doing research, which has been written with a particular judgement. Your research has been clouded by those judgements. Your judgement has been clouded by that clouded research.
Etc.
Etc.

have you done research on the adverse affect that alcohol has on persons body, and how it deteriorates there body after long periods of time and consumption. have you researched the adverse effects of medicine that your doctor prescribes and the toll it can take on your body if you have to be on it for long periods of time??

I will be completely honest: I am nearing the status of habitual marijuana smoker.

Moving on...

I am amazed to see that there are people out there who will not date anyone who smokes weed, even though they enjoy to go out to the bar and drink themselves stupid.

What's the deal?
So, I can not smoke marijuana just every once in a while but you can go out and drink alcohol all night?
I don't see any logic in this.

I will not get into the health hazards of both substances (that is a subject I've already writen about).
But I will ask... why does it serve you justice to not allow someone who smokes marijuana (heavily or not)to ever date you or be your friend?

It almost seems that if you smoke marijuana, a lot of people think very low of you.
I can't see why. I've been smoking for 5 years.
My grades have always been good, I've always searched for more knowledge, I've tried my best at being a good person, and I am just trying to enojy life.
Marijuana has not affected me on a huge level.
Sure, my lungs may suck since it has been 5 years (no thanks to the cigarettes), but I am no less of an individual.

So, I ask you, why do people do this?

people associate certain images with weed smokers, different to that of a ciggi smoker or a drinker.
weed has a more negative frame.

Extensively. I am fortunate enough to be healthy enough to not require much medication. If I weren't so damn lazy I could probably reduce my asthma to the point that I didn't require any medication to treat that. However, I am quite aware of what the medicines I have and do take affect me. It was the reason I switched from one medicine to another.
Similarly with alcohol, I have done extensive research on its effects on me. I drink on average 2 a month. When I drink, I drink an average of 3 beers. I dare say that my alcohol consumption is a significantly less concern that the average marijuana smoker's usage.
That statement is based on my research.

I have known many marijuana users throughout my life. I have not known a single user that has a joint twice a month. Or who limits their usage to only those times when they can be certain the effects are reduced to near non-existant before they will be driving and/or working. Most of them have even bragged of their ability to drive and/or work unimpaired by marijuana's effects.

Your average alcohol drinker might have an average of 1-3 drinks on average 1-3 times per month. Your average marijauna user might have an average of 1-3 joints 1-3 times per week.

I can understand that.
I do think though that if you were to find a really good guy who wants to support you and your kid, but the only problem is he smokes weed... you could overlook it if he were to do it in private and never around you or your kid.
I don't know. That's a good topic to debate about.

How about stop smoking the weed? Why would anyone want to put there childs life endanger by allowing them to be around a pot head. I'm talking about a daily weed smoker as you proclaim. I don't want my children riding in a car with someone thats stoned. How would it make you feel if you found a nice women. You convince her that your daily pot smoking is harmless. Then child services grabs her kids because you were in a car accident and tested positive for pot.All I hear is that everyone should make exceptions for you.You hit the key note on why people don't want to date a daily pot smoker.Your getting high comes before anyone else.At certain points in our lives we all stop to figure out what is important, and the direction we want to go.Hey when I'm retired and I'm traveling I might even light one up.As for now my priorities aren't about getting high.

then you are fortunate in that area, but when i was talking about alcohol, im not sure you were catching what i was saying i stated in mass consumptions over long period of times can have severe effects on the body just as pot can.. my point was that they are people out there who drink alcohol like your every day average pot smoker hits the pipe.. you are entitled to your views and opions just as the next person but its not right of you to judge them based on your beliefs. its not right for anyone to do that but we do. you are also making an assumption that every pot smoker is the same, just as it would be an assumption to say that all alcoholics are the same.. no matter which way you slice it there is no excuse for it. no one is saying you have to change your beliefs, just as no one is saying that a pot smoker has change there beliefs and views about hitting the pipe daily. but you cant make someone change there mind based on facts always

You are missing the point all together.
First off, I smoke every day simply because I choose to.
Can I stop? Yes.
Do I want to? I don't mind.
Am I still able to live a normal life? You bet.

At this current time, I will smoke pot.
Maybe a year from now I'll be clean.
I do not know... but I do know that I have the choice to stop whenever I feel like I need to.

Eh, legalizing weed would make things a lot easier.
but at the same time, legalizing weed isn't the best choice.
you should look into this.

And you also have to remember that if our country made weed legal, the government would lose a big chunk of power they have over us.

That's not what I wrote, but thanks for twisting it to suit your agenda.

1-3 drinks when they drink. 1-3 times a month.

Personally, my take on it is: TO EACH HIS OWN...
you wanna smoke- feel free- but not around me or my kids... my brother and a few of my friends are potheads. I personally do not like it, and the smell of it makes me sick... I also don't think my kids need to be exposed to it.

but you cant make someone change there mind based on facts always
Listen, if facts aren't enough to change someone's mind, then they are to be distrusted and dismissed; facts are exactly that. Everyone's got an opinion, but facts don't change. If they are guiding their life strictly by emotion or opinion, they are not someone I care to share much time with.
