something you dont do
Assumption, albeit a correct one.
and probably know less about
Another assumption, but since you didn't say whom I know less about it that, hard to say. I am certain I know more than the average joe.4
and where are you getting your stats from

You want every source I have ever referred to> Could take a few months to compile.
is it from the non liberals ...laugh
Don't really know where you were going with that one, but I assume you are considering me as one who is not liberal. Plesae disabuse yourself of that notion. I am quite liberal.

but you cant make someone change there mind based on facts always
Listen, if facts aren't enough to change someone's mind, then they are to be distrusted and dismissed; facts are exactly that. Everyone's got an opinion, but facts don't change. If they are guiding their life strictly by emotion or opinion, they are not someone I care to share much time with.

Many "facts" are open to interpretation, further study, and sometimes change. Once upon a time it was a fact the Earth was flat, once upon a time people thought that one element couldn't become another one, plants "ate" soil etc.

if people are going to smoke it no matter what, wouldnt be best if we were the ones seeing the profit
So, the effects are irrelevant, just as long as there is profit to be made?

Nice.

Let's legalize crack, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamines, etc.

None of those were ever facts. Those were assumptions. Scientific study proved otherwise.

Unless, of course, everyone was told to believe it was fact. And then, one day, some rebellious scientist decides to figure out the right answer.
History keeps repeating.

The average marijuana user is closer to an alcoholic in terms of consumption than they are to an occasional drinker. However, most arguments from or in support of marijuana use point to the occasional drinker, not the alcoholic.

Do you want to compare them?

No.
Definition for fact
something known to be true: -something that can be shown to be true, to exist, or to have happened
- truth or reality of something: the truth or actual existence of something, as opposed to the supposition of something or a belief about something

My point being that flat-earthers thought the world was flat so an expedition was created to test the theory.

When it really comes down to it, how are we to even know it's factual when we were not there to see that it was a fact to begin with?

owl no one said that you were non liberal that is your assumption and as far as your knowledge on the subject it would be based on the fact that you dont smoke and then there you go like most the rest when their side starts to falter they resort to well lets legalize herion and the such no one mentioned any thing else just weed but i guess the same could be said about alcohol well lets just legalize all the other drugs which would've been just as a ..wrong

And if we never found out it was an actual fact, the only way we would know fact is by what others have told us.

i dont want to compare anyone, you know why.. because we all have our own bad habbits in which we choose to justify.. whether it be to ourself or someone else.
but if you are going to quote me try understand what is that i am saying exactly. and i am not the one who uses the points to make one better then the other.. its the one who makes the statistics!

They were facts at the time, people thought that these were proven even though their science wasn't quite correct. Actually in science research we don't use the term fact very much. In science we tend to use the term theory for wiggle room in case the future proves something different. Cell Theory has been proven true time and time again, yet we don't say it is fact we still call it theory. There's a difference between scientific usage of fact and theory and laymans usage of the terms.

Alcohol I dont get it. Its harmful and the only reason the 18th amendment is still not the law is because during prohibition crime and bottlegging coexisited. Weed is the least harmful drug out there. There are no WITHDRAWL SYMPTOMS. If it can be used for medical diseases it should should be used in regular uses right? I know weed has THC in it and that has shown to cause lung diseases. I dont know if you use it for medicine it should be legal then in all uses. I guess its ok but high doses of it can be harmful. Just another hypocritical law. By the way I do neither.

i would much rather put up with a weed smoker than an alcoholic the disposition are eons apart and considering i come from an abusive alcoholic family back ground i definitely would know now thats some stats that cant be refuted and im living proof...
