I get some of those things that pop into my head, and school memories. I took chemistry and it was terrible. I think the only reason I passed was because the teacher liked me. What are some high school memories.

Fond memories of the 4 high schools I went to.
(See, I even know I dangled that last preposition.) I refused to do homework, graduated with a 4.0 (when that was all you could get.) ALL my memories are happy ones of school, that haven away from home..where no one hurt you. One of my teachers (11th grade) just died, I always thought the concentration camp she had been in was in Germany but after seeing her obituary, she was contained in the Philippines before immigrating to the US. Just loved her. |

If that is secondary school...
Mixed feelings & memories. A huge change after elementary school, especially the way too long hours all of a sudden. Sometimes till 4.30 and by that time everyone was exhausted. Also lots of fun, too much fun with my bestie, resulting in almost having to repeat the 3rd year. I passed to the 4th & last by the skin of my teeth, my bestie didn't. That last year I did really good again and I enjoyed it. And then getting my first real diploma in life! |

I didn’t have a great start when I started primary school and I hated it. That was due to not speaking a word of English and having to sit in front of the teacher’s desk learning the alphabet and continuously having to write it down over and over and over again. Not only was I picked on because I was a foreigner but also because I had darker skin too. Nope, didn’t enjoy my early years at school as that was a difficult time for me.
Things improved by the time I started high school as by then I was fluent in English and actually excelled in it. English and art were my best subjects. Latin was my least favourite. Who the heck needs to know Latin anyway?? I have happier memories of high school though and was quite popular. Funny how things turn around. |

Primary school... best not think of that anymore, haha. I was bullied for 7 yrs, why I don't know. A hell every day to go to school. I didn't have an easy start at secondary school either, my self-esteem was in pieces. But it slowly became better. |

Guess it was those hormones working that always gave me an erection in the last few minutes before a certain class was to end. Never knew why otherwise.

High school was great, I'd moved to a new town and was living with my dad instead of my mom so it was a fresh start.
I had a great time and was very popular but mainly because I was a class clown. In 1972/3 we saw the carnage in Vietnam on TV every day and knew that's where we were going on our senior trip if we weren't going to college or didn't have a rich daddy to get a doctor to say we had bone spurs (like our almost ex president). Fortunately by 1974 the pressure got to Nixon and we were getting out of there. Then in Feb of that year I was the victim of a T bone car crash that put me in bed in the hospital for 5 months so I didn't get to graduate with my class but still all in all my high school memories are great. Class of '74 |

Vice Principal Baron Degner never did catch me smoking weed out on the field (and in the student parking lot) during lunch. He really did try, though...

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oh8zcbC_Dcw&list=LLvbwZqkY6N7pWBigLDNiAhw&index=1591 Social Distortion- Story Of My Life Well, high school seemed like such a blur I didn't have much interest in sports or school elections And in class I dreamed all day About a rock 'n' roll weekend And the girl in the front of the room So close yet so far, you know she never seemed to notice That this silly school-boy crush wasn't just pretend Life goes by so fast You only want to do what you think is right Close your eyes and then it's past Story of my life Story of my life Story of my life The story of my And I went down to my old neighborhood The faces have all changed, there's no one there left to talk to And the pool hall I loved as a kid Is now a Seven Eleven And I went downtown to look for a job I had no training, no experience to speak of And I looked at the holes in my jeans And turned and headed back Life goes by so fast You only wanna do what you think is right Close your eyes and it's past Story of my life Story of my life Story of my life Story of my life And good times come and good times go I only wish the good times would last a little longer And I think about the good times we had And why they had to end So I sit at the edge of my bed I strum my guitar and I sing an outlaw love song Thinkin' 'bout what you're doin' now And when you're comin' back Life goes by so fast You only wanna do what you think is right Close your eyes and it's past Story of my life Story of my life Story of my life Story of my life Story of my life The story of my life |

Such good memories of being in high school, but not of high school itself. I was so bored with the curriculum at the time. So much that I didn't want to study and I still graduated at the top of my class in the business field. In my first year of high school in study hall I found a tube of lipstick on the floor and I proceeded to mark a big red X on the wall and I announced to the class "X marks the spot!" The teacher was not amused and gave me an F on my report card which I changed to a B for my parents. The teacher never knew because it was the last report card of that year and they would never know about it. I won't even begin to tell what I was wearing under my graduation robe. Let's just say I felt the draft. All good things had to end sometime though. But I've matured since then.

I went to an all girls school. My sister's bad conduct two years before me marked me as potential trouble. The fact that I questioned everything must of been very annoying to the teachers. I gave up trying after the Principal did not understand my humour, she did not like me dancing to the hymns and old school songs in our school assemblies, I was only trying to jive them up and I created a crowd who followed.
But she did appreciate my poetry. School is not for some...lol |

High school was mostly bad for me. There were some good teachers. My favorite "class" was band.

In my high school, you had to have enough elective classes in order to graduate. Band was elective, but you already had to play an instrument, which I had that covered. Home ec. was easy. After that, I struggled to find extra classes.
