would be so much more meaningful were I with
someone special..and not just another boat ride ;-(

California is by far the most progressive state in the USA..... they are so far ahead that it looks like they've left America already .... or are they just Woke !!
I wish someone would explain what 'woke' means to me.

Merriam-Webster: "Aware of and actively attentive to important societal facts and issues"

Thanks, is it supposed to be a good thing or a bad thing?

Why are all of these posts dated 10 months ago?

Because that is when they were posted, as
clearly seen on the time stamp.

If you going to San Francisco , don't forget to wear flowers in your hair Or are those good old days done for ???

Not yet.

I visited Haight-Ashbury in 2003 for the first time,
even though I grew up in the area in the '60's.

Twas clean and thriving with a lot of tourists.
Very nostalgic scene.
All about business now while holding on to the past.

San Franciso has always been the most beautiful
city because it has the bones..and always will.

But Chinatown has sold out.
Though I left my heart there.

Counterpoint: If California is so terrible, why are the homes so expensive? People across the country may point to Ron DeSantis' "Poop map" to say that San Francisco is awful, when in fact, landlords charge $6K/month to rent a tiny studio apartment because it's f**king awesome to live there!

The pricey real estate is a big reason we have so many homeless people, but that's due to the landowners rejecting any attempt to build more houses, knowing an increase in supply will cause their selling price to decrease. Also, the mild weather makes it so homeless can actually live outdoors without dying of exposure.

California was a wonderful place to grow up, no
prejudices, perfect weather year round, beautiful
scenery, it had it all..You always go down when
you are on top.

I can hardly wait for The Donald to take over,
then it will all be HIS fault, of course..right?

How much is too tall for a man?

Otherwise you are always running them into the

Welcome ;-)

Just FYI, when the system runs out of anyone
close to you, it expands outwards (like a
pebble in a pond) to the next ones.

If you're going to send something that's expensive, send it registered mail.
Not quite so.

When I was mailing mortgage refinance papers, I sent them registered.

They signed for them.
Then said they 'lost' them all.

Had to redo everything and they did not give back the fees for it.

"Yes, Hot Pockets no longer come with a microwave sleeve:

When did the change happen? All Hot Pockets became sleeve-free in June 2024.

Why did the change happen? Hot Pockets says the change was made to improve the product and reduce waste:

Taste: Hot Pockets says the change resulted in a better tasting product.

Waste: The change eliminates 3,300 tons of paper waste annually, which is equivalent to 550 elephants.

How to cook them? To cook a Hot Pocket without the sleeve in the microwave, you can:

Unwrap the sandwich.
Place it on a microwave-safe plate.
Microwave on high for 1 minute and 50 seconds for one sandwich, or 3 minutes and 30 seconds for two sandwiches.
Let it sit for two minutes to finish cooking.
