I had to share this on FB.

Today there was the highest number of new infections in Ireland, yet they opened all nightclubs. Mental scenes, as far as I know.

It is just disheartening, if you work in healthcare these days

Well, working as a nurse myself, it is just scary. The healthcare system was on it's knees, before Covid already, and now, more nails into the coffin

And international travel resumed in July, within the EU, the digital cert is mandatory. I went over to Germany, seen my parents for the first time in 18 months. Going back in January.

Delta plus variant ..

“first detected in India in April 2021 is a mutation which combines delta beta (South African strain) and gamma (Brazil) circulating in uk since July .. first detected in India in April

Delta plus has also been found in nine other countries - USA, UK, Portugal, Switzerland, Japan, Poland, Nepal, Russia and China - compared to the original highly contagious Delta strain, which has now spread to 80 countries.

The Delta plus variant contains an additional mutation called K417N on the coronavirus spike (target site for RNA vaccines ) which has been found in the Beta and Gamma variants, first found in South Africa and Brazil respectively (Beta was linked to increased hospitalisation and deaths during South Africa's first wave of infections, while Gamma was estimated to be highly transmissible).

India's health ministry says studies showed that the so-called Delta plus variant - also known as AY.1 - spreads more easily, binds more easily to lung cells and is potentially resistant to monoclonal antibody therapy . Potentially more transmissible than delta. ”

Research underway to evaluate efficacy of current vaccines and to determine if this mutation has any potential to become the dominant circulating strain .

“ The right to health is a human right protected under both the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR), which New Zealand is a State party to.

Under the ICESCR, States must take necessary steps to prevent, treat and control epidemic diseases in order to REALISE THE RIGHT TO HEALTH . “

even after they admit, their actions of protection (at least here in the states) did more harm to the people they were trying to protect, then their actions took??

the reasons our lock downs stopped, so early in most states, was the harm it was doing to both the communities, and the economies in which people lived, and relied on for their well being.
this was also realized in NZ. when your prime minister, acknowledged the most recent lock downs were doing little to reduce the spread of the covid virus.
which is why the lock downs were reduced, allowing more of a return to a more normal lifestyle.

and what about those in the medical community that say anti vaxers that get covid dont deserve to be treated . saying they made their choice. so they got what they asked for?? how does that fit in??

there is no right to health.. there is a right to health care, if a person seaks it out, (theres also the right to refuse health care).
health is a human condition, and every one of us live in various states of it. and each fall victim to injury and aliments that can put our health at risk either for a short time, or over the remainder of our lives.

we have a right to life, . and the freedom to live it, as best we can. as we choose to live it, in the pursuit of happiness until our last free breath.

whether, that medical care is, choosing to get vaccinated against covid, or being treated after getting covid (if necessary). or getting treated after getting the vaccine for covid ( be it for side effects or infection)
to an earlier question asked.
I would not even care if the surgeon actually had covid.. if the result was, I had a skilled surgeon that saved my life. I would be happy to have them then have the surgery postponed untill a vaccinated surgeon was available, that did not have shaky hands from being over worked.

my personal view point aside, I am thank full for all of you (if I agree with your view points or not) that are still capable and willing to do the job. even those who are helping out as best they can, those who were not fully prepared. helping those with the training so they have more time to do what they were trained for.

so from me to you, THANK YOU. and as all ways be safe.

if this is true, then it sounds like I might be better off getting the virus, then taking the booster in 2 and a half months. so I can have stronger resistence going into the season. since it has been over 2 months since my second shot.

just had word that my niece sarah's family is under quarantine.
she and her husband are fully vaxed, this is a break through case and both of them got it.
all are doing well (under the conditions) none her family infected have had any bad reactions thus far to getting the virus.
so I guess that is good news. she is a care provider... so the facility she worked at is also locked down.

FINALLY...

World Health Organization European Advisory Group of Experts in Immunization former Vice President Professor Christian Perronne yesterday said that all vaccinated people must quarantine over the winter months or risk serious illness.
...

Confirming the rapidly deteriorating situation in Israel and the UK, the infectious disease expert stated: Vaccinated people should be put in quarantine, and should be isolated from the society.”

He went on to say: “Unvaccinated people are not dangerous; vaccinated people are dangerous for others. It’s proven in Israel now – I’m in contact with many physicians in Israel – they’re having big problems, severe cases in the hospitals are among vaccinated people, and in UK also, you have the larger vaccination program and also there are problems.”

--------------
Israeli doctor Kobi Haviv told Channel 13 News: “95% of seriously ill patients are vaccinated. Fully vaccinated people account for 85-90% of hospitalizations.

------------

Israeli health official: Long-term adverse effects? ‘We all took into account that this is an experiment – the long-term will be tested, you know, on people who have been vaccinated’

-----------------
‘Vast majority of deceased are vaccinated people’; ‘Very significant discrepancy’ between vaccine efficacy studies done in Israel vs US, UK

Covid: Are cases about to plummet without Plan B?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-59039739

"Rising Covid cases have been putting both the NHS and ministers under huge pressure.

But could this be about to change - and change quite dramatically?
It is dangerous to read too much into a few days of data - especially given the way infection levels in the south-west of England have been skewed by the lab test failings. But the recent rise that has caused so much concern does appear to have slowed and maybe is starting to drop in England.

Modelling done for the government suggests cases and deaths could soon start to fall dramatically.

That though is dependent on a number of factors, including the vast majority of over-50s coming forward for their boosters, and a degree of cautious behaviour throughout winter when it comes to mixing and socialising."

We are all hoping to avoid another lockdown Christmas.

it has been a proven fact, that lock downs and travel restrictions did not stop the spread of covid.
people keep saying heard immunity is the answer. but do everything in their power to keep healthy people from getting it, and becoming naturally immune.
even though the newest studies are showing that natural T and B sells retain anti body memory longer and are much more robust and adaptable in fighting off re-infections.
leading to, the more exposure one gets to the virus (vaccinated or not), the better off they will be in the long run. because, their bodies will develop better natural defences to it. because it would continue to trip the bodies immune response. ( at least that is my understanding to how it works)

your right the important thing is to stay safe no matter how you choose to go.
covid can kill but that dont mean it will, statistically speaking..it is more likely to be killed by a bus.
but so could the flu, dont forget to get that shot as well..
