Here in England we have a parallel situation to the USA. Over there, if you like the Republicans you can only say very bad things (!) about the Democrats and of course the reverse is true. In England it used to be the Labour Party or the Conservative Party but in general followers of either were tolerant to followers of the other. But now it is Leave the EU or remain in the EU. Interestingly, both our Labour and Conservative parties are split down the middle, as is the whole country. Both parties stated in their manifestos that they would respect the result of the referendum that we held in 2016 and leave the EU. However, the majority of MPs voted to remain and they seem to be having great difficulty in carrying out their manifesto promise to do what they themselves do not really want to do. It seems to me that both parties are trying to remain in the EU but make it look as though it is the fault of the other that they couldn't carry out their manifesto promise! There is also a third minority party who have consistently held the view that government should ignore the referendum result and remain in the EU - because they know better! In both countries it seems that politeness and kindness have been replaced by a noisy arrogance which says I am RIGHT and if you disagree, you are WRONG. There is no room for listening to the other side, as I do believe there used to be in previous years, in both countries. nice observation. right fighting has become more popular than problem solving. |

House panels issue subpoenas to Deutsche Bank, others in Trump probe
"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Two U.S. House of Representatives committees have issued subpoenas to multiple financial institutions, including Deutsche Bank AG, for information on President Donald Trump's finances, the panels' Democratic leaders said on Monday". http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-russia-banks/house-panels-issue-subpoenas-to-deutsche-bank-others-in-trump-probe-idUSKCN1RR2FW I think we've hit that "spot" now. When subpoenas start going out we know the situation has hit the big time. We are at a spot to where all Trump has to do is stop fighting it and let everything be seen. Right now, if he were to give up his fight to try to keep things hidden, and everything comes back as "clean" on him, it would absolutely crush the Democrats. His win for 2020 would be a cinch. But since Trump and his lawyers have fought so hard to keep everything hidden and continue to do so, the more guilty he looks. I bet he feels like the walls are closing in on him. And rightly he should. With his charity being shut down because he and his family were using it like it was there own private piggy bank. Just by that one thing, Trump corruption has been established. This is just the beginning. Now we will see just how deep the corruption goes. For the Democrats sake, they better find some really deep shyt on Trump. Besides what they already know. I feel like this is going to be a make or break for the Democrats. And Trump, if he just had half the sense Nixon had he would bow out. Resign. Before the shyt gets any deeper. |

Donald Trump's Changing Positions On Releasing His Taxes
"Donald Trump said he would release his tax returns. Then he said he’d do it after an audit. Now he says the public doesn’t care. Over the years, the president and members of his Administration have changed tactics several times on the question of whether he would follow a decades-old precedent and release his old tax returns". http://time.com/5571077/donald-trump-tax-returns-arguments/ New York Is Trying to Release Trump's State Tax Returns. Here's Why That Might Not Work "Democratic lawmakers in New York this week introduced legislation that would make President Donald Trump’s state income tax returns public — the latest step in a battle over details that the President has long refused to release. Backers see the bill as an alternative way to Trump’s tax records, even if Trump’s allies manage to stonewall efforts by Democrats in the U.S. House to get Trump’s federal tax returns". http://time.com/5566934/trump-tax-returns-news-york-bill/ He’s already said Congress wouldn’t understand his returns. It seems logical the people who wrote the tax codes, would understand his returns. Next, he will say the public won’t understand his returns. It seems to me many of us understand profit, lost, transaction, taxes owed, taxes paid. Trump should release then tell us, being the genius he is, what it is only he understands. |

Latino vote increasing for Trump
I'm not real sure about that. It hasn't changed that much in recent years. "According to U.S. Census Bureau population estimates as of July 1, 2013, there are roughly 54 million Hispanics living in the United States, representing approximately 17% of the U.S. total population, making people of Hispanic origin the nation's largest ethnic minority. Mexican Americans alone are 64% of Hispanics,[2] the Democratic Party is considered to be in a far stronger position among Hispanics overall. The U.S. Census indicates that the Hispanic population of the United States is the fastest growing minority group in the country.[3] More than 9% of eligible voters nationwide are Latino. The majority support for Democratic candidates continues a pattern among Hispanic voters. In a December 2011 poll, 67% of Hispanics said they were Democrats, and 20% said they were Republicans". "Support for the Democratic Party among Hispanics has remained strong because of the Democratic Party's platform of less immigration restrictions, civil rights for Hispanics, and support for social programs that tend to benefit low-income Hispanic families". http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hispanic_and_Latino_American_politics_in_the_United_States Has Trump's approval really increased among Latinos? I'll post the full article since it's not that long. "Since Sunday, President Trump has begun a new campaign that surprisingly has Latinos as positive protagonists. This time, Donald Trump has not mentioned that they are "traffickers" or "criminals." He has instead assured that his support has increased among the community. "Wow, just heard that my poll numbers with Hispanics have gone up 19%, to 50%," he wrote. "That is because they know the Border issue better than anyone, and they want Security, which can only be gotten with a Wall. Bypassing the presidential generalization that equates "Hispanic" with "border," what the figures really mean goes much further. The data was published last week thanks to an evaluation conducted between PBS and NPR which found that "50 percent of Latino adults approve of Trump's job as president", in a considerable increase of 31 points since December. This has been the first poll that the president actually liked. His campaign for fake news and the loss of prestige of official sources sharply contrasts with his sudden approval of a survey that breaks with national myths, and no wonder. But to generalize when talking about Latinos in the United States is to fall victim to tacit inaccuracies. For example, a survey conducted by the International University of Florida in conjunction with Adsmovil determined that in Florida - one of the states that turned the results of the 2016 election in his favor - less than 13 percent of Latino voters are considering voting for the Republican Party in the next elections. There has always been a deeply conservative Hispanic base with religious and political traditions maintained through generations, and which has supported the president from the beginning - it's just that he was never very aware of it. However, while his joys decant elsewhere, the real discovery of the PBS/NPR poll is that more than half of the country questions his management, as his approval rate is at 39 percent in the entire country and less than 80 percent among the voters that brought him where he is. "For the first time, we saw a fairly consistent pattern of having his base showing evidence of a cracking," said Lee Miringoff, director of the Marist Institute for Public Opinion, which conducted the poll. "Don’t know if that’s temporary – tied to the government shutdown - or a broader problem the president is having". http://aldianews.com/articles/politics/national/has-trumps-approval-really-increased-among-latinos/54851 So, to say that Latino vote increasing for Trump, well, that's not completly true. Latino's have always been majority Democrat. There is a percentage that will vote Republican. But not enough to matter. More Latinos Have Serious Concerns About Their Place in America Under Trump "About half say the situation for U.S. Hispanics has worsened over the past year; majority worry that they or someone they know could be deported". http://www.pewhispanic.org/2018/10/25/more-latinos-have-serious-concerns-about-their-place-in-america-under-trump/ Defying pundits, GOP share of Latino vote steady under Trump "In November's elections, 32 percent of Latinos voted for Republicans, frustrating Democrats, according to AP VoteCast data" http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/defying-pundits-gop-share-latino-vote-steady-under-trump-n952411 Key takeaways about Latino voters in the 2018 midterm elections http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2018/11/09/how-latinos-voted-in-2018-midterms/ 100%-32%= 68%. In other words, 68% are still Democrats that will vote for Democrats. |

Fight brews over expected blacked out portions of Mueller report
"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Congressional Democrats could move forward quickly - as early as Monday - with subpoenas to obtain Special Counsel Robert Mueller's full report on Russian interference in the U.S. 2016 election, after Attorney General William Barr releases a version on Thursday that may have significant portions blacked out". http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-russia/fight-brews-over-expected-blacked-out-portions-of-mueller-report-idUSKCN1RT1QO Grand jury testimony MUST be redacted. It is always kept private. National Security information MUST be kept redacted by rule of law. Classified info is not to be made public. Innocent people who were ancillary to the investigation should also keep their privacy. The good thing is Mueller is helping Barr with the redactions, so they should all agree and they are using the Justice Department Guidelines. |

Barr Plans News Conference Thursday on Mueller Report's Release
"Attorney General William Barr will hold a news conference at 9:30 a.m. Washington time Thursday on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report, which the Justice Department has said it will release that morning. Barr’s Playbook: He Misled Congress When Omitting Parts of Justice Dep’t Memo in 1989 "On Friday the thirteenth October 1989, by happenstance the same day as the “Black Friday” market crash, news leaked of a legal memo authored by William Barr. He was then serving as head of the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel (OLC). It is highly uncommon for any OLC memo to make headlines. This one did because it was issued in “unusual secrecy” and concluded that the FBI could forcibly abduct people in other countries without the consent of the foreign state. The headline also noted the implication of the legal opinion at that moment in time. It appeared to pave the way for abducting Panama’s leader, Gen. Manuel Noriega". http://www.justsecurity.org/63635/barrs-playbook-he-misled-congress-when-omitting-parts-of-justice-dept-memo-in-1989/ Trump’s Attorney General Nominee Helped Bush Sr. Get Away With Murder "Trump has been president for almost 700 days now. In all that time, I have managed to find exactly one redeeming quality in the man: I thoroughly enjoyed the prodigious hard time he gave his now-departed attorney general, Jefferson Beauregard Sumpter Appomattox Shiloh Both Bull Runs Sessions III. Even that small pleasure, however, is poisoned". http://truthout.org/articles/trumps-attorney-general-nominee-helped-bush-sr-get-away-with-murder/ FLASHBACK: THE FIRST TIME ROBERT MUELLER WROTE MEMOS TO WILLIAM BARR ABOUT SPECIAL COUNSEL INVESTIGATIONS "In December, when President Donald Trump nominated William Barr to serve as U.S. attorney general — for the second time — many voiced concern about what Barr’s expansive views of executive power would mean for his overseeing the special counsel investigation into 2016 election interference. Compounding those concerns was an unsolicited memo Barr had submitted to the Justice Department that was highly critical of the investigation as well as the fact that Barr had in 1992 regularly considered firing the independent counsel investigating the Iran-Contra scandal". http://www.americanoversight.org/flashback-the-first-time-robert-mueller-wrote-memos-to-william-barr-about-special-counsel-investigations Trump allies say they’re 'not concerned' about the Mueller report "Ahead of the scheduled Thursday morning release of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report, allies of President Trump have a simple message: Move along, nothing to see here. Bolstered by the knowledge that Attorney General William Barr has already declared he would not charge Trump with obstruction of justice and that Mueller’s investigation found no evidence of collusion with Russia, multiple sources close to the president said they were confident the report wouldn’t damage the White House. However, their dismissal of the report comes as critics of the president and legal experts suggested damaging revelations from Mueller’s investigation may have been swept under the rug". http://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-allies-respond-mueller-report-004831031.html What we all figured would happen, happened, Barr has briefed Trump and his legal team on the contents of the Mueller report. They are now working on a 'rebuttal' of the report. A rebuttal of what? They are 'forming a defense'. Defense of what? Barr is having a presser on the report before Congress even gets to see it in order to shape public opinion before it's release. Barr has proven beyond all doubt he is part of Trump's legal team and I hope he goes down with the ship. |

Key Democratic chairs call on Barr to cancel press conference on Mueller report
"This press conference, which apparently will not include special counsel Mueller, is unnecessary and inappropriate, and appears designed to shape public perceptions of the report before anyone can read it,” the five Democratic chairs said in a statement. It was signed by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, Oversight and Reform Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings, Committee on Financial Services Chairwoman Maxine Waters and Committee on Foreign Affairs Chairman Eliot Engel". http://www.yahoo.com/news/democrats-blast-barr-over-mueller-report-press-conference-002430299.html 'A target on our back': Trump's sanctuary city proposal could strain smaller communities "WASHINGTON – From legal services and family resource centers to scholarships and employment preparation, many big cities have set up a dedicated infrastructure, costing millions a year, to help immigrants". http://news.yahoo.com/apos-target-back-apos-trump-215852842.html I've said it before and I will say it again, I really hope he does it. Just listened to the Barr news conference. Sure sounds like the Democrats lost on the Mueller report and that Congressional leaders will get to see a report with only grand jury testimony redacted. This sure makes a lot of the media coverage of Mueller, his team, and President Trump seem like the stories you hear in the bar on Saturday night. Very funny but all BS.

Funny you say that when all the illegalities perform by Obama staff to obtain the original warrant based on a false get dossier the perversion of the legal system the perversion of the court system the lack of due process and the mere fact of the evidence coming out shows the more they investigate trump the more illegal and perverse actions were gone against him I find it amazing that more Donald Trump's adversaries are more worried about him then all the illegalities done to him away I forgot there's a 2 tier Justice system

In his report, Mueller invites Congress to investigate Trump obstruction
"Special counsel Robert Mueller wrote in his report on Russian interference in the 2016 presidential campaign that although he lacked sufficient evidence to clear or charge President Trump on possible obstruction of justice, Congress could take up the issue. “We concluded that Congress has authority to prohibit a president’s corrupt use of his authority in order to protect the integrity of the administration of justice,” Mueller wrote in his 381-page report, a redacted version of which was released by the Justice Department Thursday". http://www.yahoo.com/news/in-his-report-mueller-says-congress-could-take-action-on-trump-obstruction-152454775.html President Donald Trump tweets 'Game Over' after Justice Department releases redacted Mueller report "WASHINGTON – Just hours before Robert Mueller's report was finally released on Thursday, President Donald Trump unleashed a volley of tweets denouncing the probe as a historic "hoax" perpetrated by Democrats – taunting them in one post that employed a Game of Thrones theme". http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2019/04/18/before-mueller-report-donald-trump-again-denounces-russia-hoax/3505336002/ He's right.
