MEXICO CITY (AP) — Mexican authorities said a group of about 350 migrants broke the locks on a gate at the Guatemalan border Friday and forced their way into southern Mexico to join a larger group of migrants trying to make their way toward the United States.
The institute said the migrants were acting in a "hostile" and "aggressive" way, and accused them of also attacking local police in Metapa, a Mexican village that lies between the border and the nearby city of Tapachula. Some members of that group have scuffled with immigration authorities and broken windows at the offices in recent days, accusing officials of making them wait too long for papers. https://news.yahoo.com/migrants-break-border-gate-force-way-mexico-182832541.html ----------------------------------- Drop the all off in the front yard of Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters or Charles Schumer. They, surely, will have an open house for them. |

I can't help but wonder if he's really that dumb? If he does, the Democrats will get the last laugh. I've already posted a link earlier about this. If he is dumb enough to do this, in the end, it will be votes for Democrats. I know he is an idiot. Now it's just a question of how big of one. We will eventually see. Trump confirms a possible plan to send immigrants to sanctuary cities, contradicting White House denials "President Trump confirmed Friday that the White House is considering a plan to transport detained immigrants to “sanctuary cities” and release them there as a way to punish his political enemies. Late Thursday night, the Washington Post published a report about the proposal. A White House official downplayed the story, telling the Post in a statement, “This was just a suggestion that was floated and rejected, which ended any further discussion". http://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-confirms-white-house-sanctuary-cities-plan-174806223.html Well, It's starting to look like he might be that big of an idiot. I can see where if this does happen, it could absolutely ruin Trump. Within a year or two, there will be thousands of registered Democrats that would have never been here if it wasn't for Trump trying to flex his muscles. Trying to show the Democrats what the little dictator wannabe can do. He has opened himself up again in such a way that Pelosi will end up rubbing this into his face. Much like what happened during the shut down that Trump took full responsibility for on nationwide TV for everyone to see. I can see where this could cause his political ruin. California and surrounding states will vote straight Democrat. He will be lucky if he gets one vote out of California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. Yes, I know, Texas is normally red. But either way, you cut it, It's a good way to piss off a lot of people all at one time. It may be enough to make red turn blue. Even somewhere in between. "Trump says he has legal right to send undocumented immigrants to sanctuary cities". "Trump tweeted on Saturday night that his administration has the legal right to send undocumented immigrants to sanctuary cities and demanded it happen. "Just out: The USA has the absolute legal right to have apprehended illegal immigrants transferred to Sanctuary Cities," he wrote. "We hereby demand that they be taken care of at the highest level, especially by the State of California, which is well known or its poor management & high taxes". The Hill has reached out to the White House for comment. White House spokesman Hogan Gidley on Saturday told Fox News shortly before the announcement that the administration was working with DHS and ICE to try to send undocumented immigrants to sanctuary cities. http://thehill.com/latino/438792-trump-demands-that-undocumented-immigrants-be-taken-to-sanctuary-cities |

I have got about three things to say about ... Julian Assange’s
1- First the Sitting President said he loved him ! ... then he said I do not know anything about him ... 2- an Chelsea Manning that helped get this stuff out ... is in salutary jail for the second time because she has said all there was to say in the first place when asked ... and she will not testify on Juliana behalf ... she has given then all once before ... so I believe that is discriminatory against her will ... as a journalist...an whistle blower ... 3- They did make a deal with others ...to get Julian Assange’s sent back to the USA ... to prosecute him... in our courts ... not because he had anything to do with the security breach ... he will not get a fair trial here in any part of our country zero chance ... you can call him a whistle blower all you wont ... but this really is a sad day for all... journalist that speak the truth ... and for now others to hear fake news ... where their sponsors will not let them tell ...the truth about this discriminatory act ... they will all speak hate against him ... nuff said ... |

Hmmm, maybe they can establish a huge immigration detention and processing center in California. When they are released, just do the same as they do in Texas, dump them on the local streets. Border Patrol needs a new facility to detain and process immigrants.

Border Patrol needs a new facility to detain and process immigrants. I might agree with that ... been done before in a few states ... when our elders came over ... but very dissatisfied ...how some of the hired help contractors down there ... that are abusing women and children by raping them ... and keeping them in cages ... close the border good one |

It is like alot of issues, the knee jerk reaction that if one side is doing something the other side disapproves of, it is incumbent upon the disagreeing side to fix it personally. I think our voting system is one of the best on Earth, but not without areas that can do better. |

WoW, Everyone is an idiot. But Trump?
Sarah Huckabee Sanders: Congress Not 'Smart Enough' To Understand Trump's Taxes "As House Democrats prepare for a potential legal battle to obtain President Donald Trump’s tax returns, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders offered a new reason why Congress shouldn’t be allowed to see them. “I don’t think Congress, particularly not this group of congressmen and women, are smart enough to look through the thousands of pages that I would assume President Trump’s taxes will be,” Sanders told “Fox News Sunday". http://www.yahoo.com/huffpost/sarah-huckabee-sanders-congress-not-170325501.html |

there are accountants in Congress, and people who set the tax laws.
http://www.cnn.com/2019/04/14/politics/trump-taxes-accountants-congress/index.html But, whatever the case, it has been the custom for Presidents to reveal them, makes it at least SEEM as if there is something to hide when one refuses to. |

This should help explain where what and why when it comes to presidential hopefuls showing their taxes before ever entering the race.
Congress has access to numerous tax attorneys/tax manuals to help them navigate the complexity of Trump's tax returns. The Revenue Act of 1924 explicitly states that Trump must turn over his tax returns to Congress if/when asked for by Congress. Congress filed the request. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin is REQUIRED under the Revenue Act of 1924 to fulfill said request. The Revenue Act of 1924 was passed in the aftermath of various scandals such as Teapot Dome under the Harding administration. Mnuchin can end up in prison for defying a Congressional directive that requests Trump's tax returns of the purpose of providing OVERSIGHT of the President as applicable under federal law. Teapot Dome Scandal "The Teapot Dome Scandal of the 1920s shocked Americans by revealing an unprecedented level of greed and corruption within the federal government. The scandal involved ornery oil tycoons, poker-playing politicians, illegal liquor sales, a murder-suicide, a womanizing president and a bagful of bribery cash delivered on the sly. In the end, the scandal would empower the Senate to conduct rigorous investigations into government corruption. It also marked the first time a U.S. cabinet official served jail time for a felony. http://www.history.com/topics/roaring-twenties/teapot-dome-scandal |

I have no doubt that members of the House committee demanding Trump's tax returns will eventually get to read his personal and business tax returns. I really doubt it will be in the manner or form they are demanding. In the meantime, it gives Democrats something to babble about.

Here in England we have a parallel situation to the USA. Over there, if you like the Republicans you can only say very bad things (!) about the Democrats and of course the reverse is true. In England it used to be the Labour Party or the Conservative Party but in general followers of either were tolerant to followers of the other.
But now it is Leave the EU or remain in the EU. Interestingly, both our Labour and Conservative parties are split down the middle, as is the whole country. Both parties stated in their manifestos that they would respect the result of the referendum that we held in 2016 and leave the EU. However, the majority of MPs voted to remain and they seem to be having great difficulty in carrying out their manifesto promise to do what they themselves do not really want to do. It seems to me that both parties are trying to remain in the EU but make it look as though it is the fault of the other that they couldn't carry out their manifesto promise! There is also a third minority party who have consistently held the view that government should ignore the referendum result and remain in the EU - because they know better! In both countries it seems that politeness and kindness have been replaced by a noisy arrogance which says I am RIGHT and if you disagree, you are WRONG. There is no room for listening to the other side, as I do believe there used to be in previous years, in both countries. |

Lawmaker demands IRS hand over Trump tax returns by April 23 "The chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee on Saturday demanded that the Internal Revenue Service hand over the president’s tax returns by April 23". "I am aware that concerns have been raised regarding my request and the authority of the committee. Those concerns lack merit. Moreover, judicial precedent commands that none of the concerns raised can legitimately be used to deny the committee’s request,” wrote Rep. Can't help wondering if Trump is more clever than we think he is. Perhaps there is nothing in his tax returns that could be considered 'wrong'. Perhaps when he is eventually forced to hand them over, he will gloat over how he has done nothing wrong. If that happens it will be very much to his advantage.
But is he (or his trusted advisors) as clever as that? |

William Weld to challenge 'unstable' Trump for the 2020 Republican nomination
"Trump has his first Republican challenger for 2020. William Weld, the former Massachusetts governor, said Friday he would run against Trump for the GOP presidential nomination. “We have a president whose priorities are skewed towards the promotion of himself rather than for the good of the country,” Weld said at a recent gathering in New Hampshire. “He may have great energy and considerable raw talent, but he does not use that in ways that promote democracy, truth, justice and equal opportunity for all. To compound matters, our president is simply too unstable to carry out the duties of the highest executive office in the land". http://news.yahoo.com/william-weld-to-challenge-unstable-trump-for-the-2020-republican-nomination-212615720.html Never heard of the guy. But I will give him a thumbs up on one thing. At least he is one Republican that isn't afraid to speak up and say what he thinks about Trump. At least one Republican besides the late Senator John Mccain can see what Trump really is. |
