Men don't read. Profiles!

*Buzzer* That is incorrect. (^^^^up there^^^^)
Men from the forums do read profiles.

Just saying.

Maybe some men from the Forums do read profiles.

However, there are dozens of men on Mingle2 that come and go .

They do not read Profiles. I have had many contact me. No, they were not Scammers.

They no Nothing of these Forums.

Men who don't read the profiles but have game will achieve hook ups.
Men who do read the profiles and have no game, will be instantly dismissed/ignored.

Not for everyone.
I click on an empty profile, I don't interact.
Nothing to grab my attention.
The only gamer I want is a skyrim player.

Has anyone come across shell of somebody’s profile saying they are from one place and then they tell you they are from another? Either that or their profile is contradictory

Yes, far too often than not.

Bogus cellphones vis-vis their claimed locale, finding out their actual locale is not as listed in their profile.

No idea as to how men's profiles stack up as an answer to your question... probably the same based on feed back from my "virtual dates" and their encounters with men.

Being a guy, I am one who reads the profile of every single person that I come across that either send me a message, or who viewed me. I even look at the profile of people before I answer yes to the match

Check area codes when they give them to you too and you'll normally see it's from a different area also.

Most of them don't.
You'll get a 'where are you from?' question and the same person has just viewed your profile 🤷‍♀️

Sometimes people move and don't update their profile, so it 's worth asking to know where they are now, and maybe it's just a way to break the ice for some, but I agree you do need to complete your profile and add a few pics.

No one is scared. I mean, what kind of items are too scary to place on this site?? It's laziness if you ask me. It doesn't take hours and it's not complex. I know this is a blanket statement, but I feel like those members who don't take the time to fill out a simple and brief profile, may really not be that invested. It is frustrating. I almost never contact those members. I am not wasting my time contacting someone whom I should not have in the first place if they are not what I'm looking for. Hope that helps

mevans89. My experience with inaccurate location has been this. Either they are not updating their profile, or state where they are temporarily staying, which is usually work-related. I never have gotten the impression they are trying to cover something up. Good luck

Zion- checking area codes is obsolete. I know many people who now live in VA, but have area codes from other states. Why? Because they moved here and cell phone carriers don't make you change your number. If it's a land line, then of course there is an inaccuracy; but how would you know?

Hey people in here :)
I have a question for you :)
What is so scary about filling out even the basics in the profile and doing it honestly?
I have stumbled upon several, if not most of profiles in here that i've seen that has nearly nothing in them, not even a short selfexplanatory text about ythemselves.
Is really "hi" meaning everything or what?
Those few who really have something in their profiles such as the answers to the basics and a short text can be counted on one hand and one in particular that caught my eye hasn't even been on here for over a month according to the profile itself.
so, is it so bad to write something about yourself or is the "hi" a shortcut because it's obviously difficult to write something that might catch someones interest?

I share the same sentiment. It is annoying and I keep ignoring persons who do not complete their profile.

Agreed. While I hate the annoyingly long, intense "compatibility" questions some dating sites use, it takes less than 3 minutes to answer the few questions here on this site and to actually type something using your own words, even if it's "Looking for a man over 45 in San Diego area only" or something to that effect. But to leave it completely blank is just arrogance, spam, or laziness.

Just because one fills out a profile doesn't mean it will get read. My profile is complete but so far no one has read it before messaging me and asking questions that are already answered in my profile...frustrated

Sure I read profiles, if there is one. The problem is that most of what I read winds up being a pack of lies.

some people are just lazy. it annoys when no one fills their profile. I don't think they take it seriously
