Topic: Jesus is not God here's proof...

Three (3) persons in one God. God The Father-creator, God, The Son-God lowered himself to live among us as human man, born in the horrible way of the vaginal canal as the rest of us-so that He could die for us to repent our original sin so that we could decide to accept His redemption freeing all those who died before Him (ex: Abraham, Malchesedec, Moses and all the prophets and saints that died before him and lived in neither heaven nor hell) to ascend to heaven. As God/human/man, he could show His weakness and wonder if The Father had forgotten His sacrifice, just as we jump to conclusions about intentions of others in our lives. Last, but not least, God The Holy Spirit, who filled man with knowledge and the right of the Apostles of Jesus Christ to forgive (or not) the sins confessed to them. The Holy Spirit who can and does give us the peace that passes all understanding= it is. The faithful know this. It is what helps us survive when really horrible things in life happen to us. God remains with us, through the peace of the Holy Spirit to help us to heal and move on with our lives for the sake of those who need us.
I am sick of nay sayers. This is faith. this is truth. Believe it or not. I for one believe. Smirk and challenge all that you want.
It is what it is. Be afraid. Be very afraid!

Be afraid. Be very afraid!

If I need to be afraid of my creator that can only mean that my creator is less compassionate than myself.

The only thing that would make such a God greater than me would be his physical power over me. But even a demon could have that.

So a God that is less compassionate than me yet can only control me via the fear of his awesome power is nothing more than a devil in disguise.

You people can have your demonic God.

I want no parts of worshiping a demon.

If fear is all you have to offer to compel someone to believe in your God then your God is most certainly a demon.

How sad.

Thank God it’s all just Mediterranean Mythology. If God was really this despicable we’d all be in big trouble.

I am not afraid of my God. He is a God of love. He was wild in the old testament, because he was dealing with cave men. I believe that Jesus of the New Testament is God's valium. He chilled and is a God of love. I have no fear. This is not mythology! What you believe is mythology. What I said about you, Abra, stands!! And you are an ass!!

Abra, let me remind you that you thought the scripture in question was about Romans and Jews. It wasn't. All I have said is exactly what Jesus said.

You are good at quoting scripture via search engines, but you seem to be quite inept at conveying it’s spirit.

You use the words of Jesus as an egotistical weapon.

How sad. frown

Don't be sad, be happy. I explained what the scripture meant, if there are any hard feelings, that is entirely from inside you.

After the suicide incident today I give up on these weenies. There are people with real needs and hurts and I'm wasting energy trying to convince those with hard hearts who've already made that decision within themselves 'not' to follow or believe in Him. As Jesus said "leave even the dust from your sandals as you depart". Heck just keep the dang things.

Later.indifferent

Build the great Wall of words to hide, who cares anymore. If God wants you , He'll knock.

Jesus is pointing to Psalm 22.1 "My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?".
(indication that he is the Messiah)

verses 11-18 in Psalm 22:

Be not far from me, for trouble is near; For there is none to help. 12 Many bulls have surrounded me; Strong

bulls of Bashan have encircled me. 13 They open wide their mouth at me, As a ravening and a roaring lion. 14 I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint; My heart is like wax; It is melted within me. 15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd, And my tongue cleaves to my jaws; And Thou dost lay me in the dust of death. 16 For dogs have surrounded me; A band of evildoers has encompassed me; They pierced my hands and my feet. 17 I can count all my bones. They look, they stare at me; 18 They divide my garments among them, And for my clothing they cast lots."

The term 'dogs' was used by the Jews to refer to Gentiles (cf. Matt. 15:21-28). His heart has melted within Him (v. 14). During the crucifixion process, the blood loss causes the heart to beat harder and harder and become extremely fatigued. Dehydration occurs (v. 15). Verses 16b-18 speak of piercing His hands and feet and dividing his clothing by casting lots. (Mathew 27.35 describes this happens).

Psalm 22 is believed to have been written approximately 600 years before Christ's birth. Crucifixion was at that time unknown.

Hab 1:13 Habakkuk 1:13 (King James Version)

13 Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?

God is too pure to look upon evil. Jesus was able to bear the sins of the world.

The physical pain would have been immense, but the spiritual pain, probably beyond our comprehension.

Ok you psalm 22'ers is it a revelation that foretold what Jesus would do? or is a part of the old testament that Jesus knew and just said as he was on the Cross?

Do any of you agree on this?

Deut 21:22-23

22 And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree :

23 His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of Yahweh;) that thy land be not defiled, which Yahweh thy Elohim giveth thee for an inheritance.
KJV

Yahshua did both. He hung on a tree for our sins.
He was buried the same day.
But why is he accursed?

This answers another thread also.

Ps 22:1-8

My El, my El, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?

2 O my El, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.

3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

4 Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.

5 They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.

6 But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

7 All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head saying,

8 He trusted on Elohim that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.
KJV

These verses are very true. This they did to Yahshua. But remember after he said.. My El, My El, why have you forsaken me.

Matt 27:46-50
And about the ninth hour Yahshua cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My El, my El, why hast thou forsaken me?

47 Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.

48 And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.

49 The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.
Matt 27:50
Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
KJV

This is key to understanding why he said this because after he said it he gave up the Ghost.

They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.

Yahshua was crying out for deliverance.

He hung on a tree accrused for our sins

He was taken down that day from the tree.

Yes miles but you do not believe he is one with God. You and I agree on this point. I am trying to get an answer from those people who believe that God and Jesus are the same. people who call themselves Christian.

Ok you psalm 22'ers is it a revelation that foretold what Jesus would do? or is it a part of the old testament that Jesus knew and just said as he was on the Cross?

Simple answer please!!

When Jesus uttered these words, he was not admitting that he missed God's purpose; he was announcing his fulfillment of God's purpose! Because this statement is the first verse of Psalm 22,

on of the most amazing passages in the Bible. . . .

In 22:1-2, he begins with a lament expressing the agony of his soul that God seems to have forsaken him despite his cries for help. Yet, like Ps. 42, he reminds himself in 22:3-5 that God will be faithful to him as he has always been faithful to his people, Israel.

In 22:6-8, the lens begins to come into focus so that we start to understand the nature of his plight. He is reproached and despised by "the people," the Jews. They are delighted that he is suffering this fate (whatever it is) because it refutes his claim that God delights in him.

They are executing him by crucifixion. Note six specific features of death by crucifixion, which was the most painful ("excruciating") and humiliating form of execution ever devised.
ed by slamming the cross into the hole, and the stretching and eventual snapping of ligaments from having to support their body weight for hours and even days.
