Im sorry Miles I read all of that and all I can get from it is that you think Jesus is not God. If that is true then you are not a Christian.

Im talking to the people who believe that God is one with the holy spirit and Jesus

well Hazz I read over yours a few times and it has some doozies in it.

Like I doubt that he was directing it toward God.
Where was he directing it?

"The spirits worst enemy is the mind"
This explains a lot

Ok here is the problem Jesus is still part of God. You did not break the connection between God and Jesus. The statement Jesus makes is essentially "myself myself why has myself abandoned me"

You can't blame him for what he went through so that is why also Jesus knew to say Father forgive them for they know not what they do because even Jesus was a human.

Jesus could never know these things until experiencing them first hand. When Jesus was in heaven with God before he was born a human, he was of course a spirit and a spirit can't feel what it's like to be a human unless done first hand like Jesus did. God knows what he is doing. He created us but he isn't human and he needed Jesus to learn what it's like plus most of all Jesus wanted to come to us.

He didn't directly mean it for himself as he already knew before he came to earth as a man what was foretold and that he would die on the cross...Both Jesus and God already knew that long before it happen. And please rabitt if you can't get this.....just read the Bible....its all pretty darn clear.

Jesus said that because he was fulfilling prophecy. If you look at Psalm 22, which was a prophecy of the death of Jesus, it starts off with "My God, My God, Why have you Forsaken me?" Jesus stated that at the end of his life because he was showing that he fulfilled prophecy. He was not becoming weak as people think. His disciples knew this prophecy of David, and so they knew that it was being fulfilled.

A god is an object of worship. The trinity is formed of three co-equal beings who have placed themselves into a hierarchy. The Holy Spirit is suborndinate to Jesus and Jesus is subordinate to the Father. Jesus worships the Father, just as we do. Jesus isn't God's other face as some say. The Father, Son and Holy Spirt are distinct individuals. Collectively, they are God. At that moment, Jesus was experiancing something that we are all familiar with...God the Father had turned his face away from Jesus. For the first time ever, the Father and Son weren't sharing the connection that they had always shared. Jesus' physical suffering never once drew a complaint from him, but when he experianced the absence of God, he was terrified. He cried out "Why have you abandoned me!". Jesus had taken all sin onto himself and because God cannot look upon sin, God turned away from Jesus. After Jesus died, he had no personal sin, so Jesus wasn't found guilty by God's laws. Jesus carried the sins of the saved to the grave and left them there. Those who aren't saved are dead in sin and the sins of those who are saved will die in our place.

Sorry cat, the theory sounds OK, but God needs to learn nothing, it's a contradiction of even the'concept' of God. The Bible doesn't support that at all. In fact the old testament prophecied his coming multiple times, God knows EXACTLY what's up.

yup, meow:tongue: (Deb..I posted late )

all kidding aside, Rabbit,( and I hope you know it's been in good spirited humor on my part) it does sound ludicrous to sacrifice lambs and goats and bulls as proper behavior of sound minded people.

But consider the ramifications of justice in the midst of undignifying bad habits and refocusing these men at this location in history. ( terrible sentence structure)

Truly, to undo or overcome the missed opportunity of self discovery of greater meaning of the wonders of life, it would appear that a little wake up call would necessarily provide a jolt to the foolishness of religious practice as an institution.

Better to elude to it from the beginning in obscure ways, if intent was not the religious inatitution itself, but rather the example of the foolishness embraced by neighboring peoples, that apparently had to be experienced first hand before actually realizing how tiring such constraints can be on an ever waery mind and body.

So, try to examine it as though God himself, overcame and overthrew his own object lesson Himself.

This would have been a truthful observation of Abraham's intent to assume that his own son was the intended sacrifice, even though the sacrificial animal that 'dodged that bullet for him' was stuck in the bush and providing excuse for not sacrificing his own son. It is assumed that his son was the intended sacrifice, but the writings do not come out and say that directly.

Comprehending the overthrow of foolishness does require a little wisdom.

Think of it as nothing more than someont teaching by example and displaying that courage and bravery are really only elementary virtues.

Pain, shame, scorn, mocking, malice, contempt, jealousy, envy, strife, maliciousness, hatred, revenge, covetousness, lust, lasciviousnessness, emulation, deceit, temptation, etc. were all present and involved in the story that lead to his death on the cross (of Roman design and practice).

When one thinks about it, it is a depiction of all the lack of virtue that leads to such violence.

No man can wear that, surely.

He must be a God.

No man will predict his own death, but will die for another.

No man will design his own demise out of love, but in love die for another.

Man does not do these things, and man does not readily understand principles that display his limitations.

But a God can. You think on that.

(And wrapped in flesh, and being a man with it's demands, he is a man)

God no Jesus yes.......that was why he was brought to earth to live as a human......to teach, to learn......so disagree there. Of course God knew.....but the one thing neither of them knew was the emotion aspect of it. Thats human.......

Hey i will try to put all that in a nutshell (nut ha). Yahweh is one he is the father nothing can be done if not through him. The Holy spirit is the essence of Yahweh. All things done are done from Yahweh through his commands the Holy Spirit being the deliverer. Yahshua is from Yahweh. He is not the Father Yahweh. All things that Yahshua did through the Holy Spirit we can do also with a childs belief and faith that we know it will happen and it will. Doubt is are enemy.Yahshua came to show us the truth could be lived. Then he died for us and yahweh told him he has dominion over all because of his love compassion and willingness to believe and obey. But thier are differences.

1. Yahweh gives us or Yahshua permission through the Holy Spirit to do good.

2. Yahshua only does what he has been allowed to do.

3. The Holy spirit is what comes from Yahweh to enable us to be able to do all things.

4 Thier is no Trinity. This is made up. Yahweh is one. He thinks it into being and it is done.

5.The Holy Spirit from Yahweh is how it is done.

6 You could say the Holy Spirit and Yahweh is one. Because it is from him. It lives within the body of the believer. We are the new temple of Yahweh.

7 Yahshua is the 1st born of the dead. The only 1 in heaven with the father.

Hope this helps some. Blessings and May Yahweh Guide You in Your Search.... Miles
