Im not aware of mj making any bids for the clippers ,, as they have had the same owner for a couple decades,,
its only NOW an option for a new owner,, and being in LA< a former athlete, and the person that this man objected to even being 'seen' with a 'delicate white woman'....him throwing in an offer would be understandable,,, its probably a blessing in disguise, an old confused man who has made plenty of money, time for him to let in some new blood and go enjoy his life with the people he really wants to be surrounded by,,, in public and private,,lol |

I already know how
you risk their profit, intentionally or not, they cut you a deal and cut you loose, I'm doubting this will play any other way,,,, |

Having only heard bits an pieces of this, I think it was a ploy for sensationalism before selling the team.

I see it more as economics than politics
money is the bottom line, how to make it and keep it and keep losses at a minimum its why imus lost his job after the 'nappy headed hoes' comment,, its why sherrrod lost her job after admitting to her difficulty DECADES earlier helping a white farmer the customers, fans, audience, are multicultural,, and when you introduce a risk of alienating portions of the base, portions of the profit, the spin doctors and number crunchers have to come in and figure the best way to salvage the profits,,, that's business, with or without politics,,, |

Having only heard bits an pieces of this, I think it was a ploy for sensationalism before selling the team. my gut would be , spited woman,, spited because of another woman, or because of being weary and tired of the non hateful racism(Being a mixed woman herself) or spite for being the 'other woman' I doubt her motives were anything honorable, but you cant unring the bell, she didn't force him to believe what he does or say what he did,,,,, but he wont come out financially hurt at the end of the day, he has more than enough to enjoy the rest of his life and never have to be 'seen' with another black person if he doesn't wish to be,,lol but seriously, , yes, it does buy the clippers a bit of publicity for a moment ,,,but I doubt they want it this way or were in on it,,, |

While Affirmative Action is being dismantled in the East, the NAACP is striking a blow in the West. I can't wait for the next administration to step in to see which way the spin blows then... |

Talking about being punitively spanked/rewarded for bigotry...
The wealthy don't socialize with the poor either, but they call this kind of class division "snobbery" ... "elitism"... Imagine how many poor folks could get rich if we could sue the wealthy for hurting our feelings every time they make a public comment involving class distinction, etc. |

If I was an 80+ year old billionaire, I'd tell the NBA get in line.
Let a strike happen. Nobody gets paid. NBA should apologize for getting in his business. What does the girl want? I bet his attorneys can whoop hers with hands tied behind their backs. How much does a judge cost? Exactly, what laws did he break? Who will physically restrain him from entering wherever he wants to go? Ain't like he has to stand in line to get searched. Who will pay for the GFs lawyer? He give her enough green to be able to really hurt him? MJ must not have much class. Go kissin' on a skank who been lip-lockin' the love muscle of a fossil. Dat naystay!!!! |

Talking about being punitively spanked/rewarded for bigotry... The wealthy don't socialize with the poor either, but they call this kind of class division "snobbery" ... "elitism"... Imagine how many poor folks could get rich if we could sue the wealthy for hurting our feelings every time they make a public comment involving class distinction, etc. only its not about 'class distinction', or or 'hurt feelings' its about affect on a product, its about MONEY this wasn't Trump saying that he doesn't associate with poor people which would have ZERO Affect on his 'product' since it isn't in any way really marketed to POOR PEOPLE this wasn't about anything even as fleeting as 'class', which can be tied to income which people do have SOME control over in their lives this was about RACE , which people are born into have no choice in and it was about a RACE which plays a large part in lining his pocket and the pockets of his employers this was like , oh, if OBama made a statement about americans being dumb or telling his daughters not to hang around the mentally retarded even though ivy league magna carta grads probably don't hang around DUMB people and not many young teens with wealthy parents go out of their way to be 'seen' with someone mentally retarded there are A WHOLE LOT OF voting citizens who have a loved one who is retarded, and the bulk of VOTING citizens also are americans this was like Shirley Sherrod saying she once struggled with helping a white farmer, even though it had been decades earlier, because a large part of the voting public are white farmers this was like Don Imus calling wnba players nappy headed hoes because a large part of the sports fans and athletes that line his employers pockets are 'nappy headed' and females (hoes),,, so do you see the distiniciton? this isn't about whether there was bigotry or racism or 'hurt feelings' it was about how his words or actions impact the BOTTOM Line, the product, the profits,,etc,,, |
