Baal was a mere mortal man. If he had followers, they chose to follow him. But all in all, he had no real "authority" over them. They just chose to worship him as God. But Baal had no authority over their souls if they would not have, or to even reward them for having worshiped him.

The first post is referring to Baal and why he wasn't there "god" and or a "god" in that exact context. And was only being worshiped as one eg., a false God.

The second post is giving the meaning of the word "god" and why both Jesus and his father are "one". They are both the same "god", yet two different beings.

The word "God" is not a name, it is a TITLE Funches. It is a title used to show superiority over something(s), showing that being in question has authority over something/someone(s).

That is why we also are referred to as "gods", for we have dominion over the beasts of this world eg., we have authority over them.

But that is besides the point, TO US we have but one God. Jesus and his father are ONE God. Not one of them has more authority over us then the other, because they are in accordance with one another, they have the same will/desire for us all. They act as one.
