"God" is not limited to a single being.

right..Let's not forget Baal

???

"God" means authority. If two beings have authority over someone/something, they are both one "god", they are both one "authority".

And since they are both one in goals/will for man, they are both one authority over us. They would agree with one another. It's not that one has more authority over us then the other. Because there would be no disagreements, no way of having higher authority above the other since they both have the same will and desire for mankind.

Baal is not God. Baal has no authority over anyone.

Please give some scriptures that say that Baal is God if I am incorrect.

Baal was worshipped as God, this much is true. But Baal had no more power over anyone then your neighbor has over you.

1 Chronicles 9
36 And his firstborn son Abdon, then Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab.

Baal was a mere mortal man. If he had followers, they chose to follow him. But all in all, he had no real "authority" over them. They just chose to worship him as God. But Baal had no authority over their souls if they would not have, or to even reward them for having worshiped him.

Again, he had no authority over them, as in their souls, as in if their soul lived or died. He only had as much authority over them as they allowed him to have. Nothing more.

???

What are you talking about Funches?

The first post is referring to Baal and why he wasn't there "god" and or a "god" in that exact context. And was only being worshiped as one eg., a false God.

The second post is giving the meaning of the word "god" and why both Jesus and his father are "one". They are both the same "god", yet two different beings.

Cowboy...God goes by many names...you use the name Jesus, some refer to God as the name Jehovah and others refer to God as Baal...and according to you they all are still "one" God

therefore..you also worship Baal as God...but under a different name

What are you talking about Funches? Nothing you said in that is of anything I've said.

The word "God" is not a name, it is a TITLE Funches. It is a title used to show superiority over something(s), showing that being in question has authority over something/someone(s).

That is why we also are referred to as "gods", for we have dominion over the beasts of this world eg., we have authority over them.

But that is besides the point, TO US we have but one God. Jesus and his father are ONE God. Not one of them has more authority over us then the other, because they are in accordance with one another, they have the same will/desire for us all. They act as one.

Again, when Jesus said "My father and I are one", the word translated into "one" is referring to goals/will/desires, they lead in the same direction. It's not like the Father says he wants this or that, but Jesus disagrees, no. They are in accordance with one another, they are one.

And "Jehovah" is referring to Jesus' father. And here is the explanation on why some say Jehovah and some say Yahweh

The name Jehovah is the English form of the divine name found in the ancient manuscripts of the biblical text.
In the ancient Hebrew language, the name appears as four consonants, which tranliterate into English as "YHWH" or the English equivalent "JHVH."
In Hebrew writing, vowels were not used, so the reader supplied the vowels as he read the text. That is why the divine name of GOD appeared as only four consonants.
Today, we do not know exactly how the pronunciation was in the original Hebrew language, but many feel that "Yahweh" is perhaps how it may have sounded in Hebrew, with the vowels added. The English equivalent that is most widely accepted is "Jehovah," but this is of dubious origin. Rather, "Jehovah" is an unusual, and Western, mystico-combo-word with Catholic origins from the year 1270.

right...walk up to a hungry Grizzly Bear kick their bear cub and tell the bear you have authority over them

swim up to a great white shark and tell them you have dominion and authority over them

you're only proving how you're delusional believing you have authority over animals

toss you into the jungle situation and you probably wouldn't last a couple of hours before being eaten by something while screaming you have authority

I say Potato

you say toe-mat-toe

What are you talking about Funches? People go bear hunting, people go shark hunting, people even go wale hunting.

Having authority over something does not mean specifically by brute force Funches.

Now you're way out in left field.

"Baal" is not referring to the same person as "Jesus". Please for the love of the world Funches, stay on track here please lol.

It's not about just different pronounciations of a word/name. They are two different persons.
