What you said is reall, You have to be very careful, because most of those beautiful pics you see on net are men from Africa, especially from Nigeria, sometimes when i go to a cyber cafe and what those jobless boys are doing, it makes me sad, because they are the once giving us bad names, some of them will download a white ladys picture, and send it to men, calming that is his pic. I am a Nigerian though, but i am not in support of it.

Nobody is really in support of it. When you see such please alert the EFCC. They would closely monitor that cyber cafe.

I've noticed two so far that came up in my search that are supposedly in my home town of Edinburgh but it says that they are in England. Admittedly they aren't claiming to be from here but if they live here you would think that they would know what country they are in...

Also, I'm getting mostly "women" from other countries checking out my profile and one of them was definetly a scammer, although I just told her that I wasn't going to talk to her on Yahoo and there was no point in her keeping telling me that I have to do that.

Whether many of the women that go on these sites are genuine is kind of debatable but I won't go on about that because I don't want to get trolled by people saying that I'm complaining just because it isn't going well for me. It's a free site and a lot of people go on them just to chat or for a bit of attention and I just cut to the chase fairly quickly with it now and tell them that I'm on here for dating and that I don't believe that you can find out what somebody is really like and if you are compatible just from emailing.

It's actually pretty difficult to p*** me off. I really don't get angry easily much. I've learnt to be serene and at one. There is very few things that could ever make me aggressive. I'm not really into aggressiveness. It makes me feel very uncomfortable. It makes me ill at ease. If someone is complaining about being scammed, that's fair enough though. As long as said complainer is going about it in a nice manner. Not keen on people who shout like a spoilt kid using swear words and spitting. Sometimes it's okay to complain, just don't make a dramatic show of yourself.

yeah, I have done the same, but I don't even like to give out my email unless I really think the person is real. It would be great to meet someone in my city here or fairly close...it always seems that people close by don't respond so well and the ones that are far away do a but more but I have already had a few long distance relations and it is definitely a challenge,,even when you meet someone and it seems to be going great.
How do you feel about taking that chance with the email?? I mean,,if you have a secure password or change it often then I guess they could send you a lot of spam. I have known some members in the past that had their email hacked, and that is definitely not a good thing. I wonder if they might ever think about making it possible to have a cam interface here. Maybe one that had some kind of guidelines...I know, good luck.lol

Have experienced a few scammers of lately.
Always they want to go to Yahoo IM.
Then they work you over, then later it is a play for money.
Have one that I am reverse working now.
Last month she wanted personal info to be posted to her attorney's web site so that they could give power of attorney to me to access her trust fund. yeah, right!!!
Now she is back looking for money for her missionary work in Nigeria. and could i donated something for the orphans?

As for the web cam, I can't afford to use up my data plan on that.

Write a profile tell some of your interests and post some pictures.

Someone is really hot to jump site that is a pretty good signal they are up to no good for one reason or another.

Yea it would help if you had a way to date the photos but people see what they want to see even if you do.

I clearly am a gray headed 58 yr old that states the kids are grandchildren but never fails almost daily I get someone saying lets blah blah blah like I am some kid or want a boyfriend the age of my son. But hey I just figure they are cutting their teeth lol.
