doesn't quite work that way up here in Quebec.. we call the insurance co.. they send an investigator.. once approved we get an allowed amount for the repair then we gotta do all the work in finding contractors.. they simply have to be reputable and registered

although I truly believe any insurance is a scam (money grab) with my luck, once I'd let my lapse, the house would probably crumble to the ground

I'd love to do more cruising.. just way too expensive solo and most ports are in the USA.. which for me traveling there is kind of no freakin way at the moment.. the ICE (frozen snow) I have here is enough of a headache.. which reminds me.. had more come down last night so.. best get shoveling.. yet again..

Not sure I would be okay with that.. maybe it's a trust issue for some.. but for me it's more "hey, I want take part in the fun too"

when in a relationship.. I believe things should be shared, together.. an occasional "boys night out" is fine by me.. however I personally don't need that kind of "space"... besides.. I've been doing the solo thang long enough and although okay with that, when IN a relationship, I'd rather spend the time together.. life's too short (and getting shorter by the day at our ages )

seriously tho.. experiencing and exploring new places, flavors etc is, to me, simply more fun when shared.. nothing more pleasurable than turning to a friend, partner, loved one and saying "wow, isn't that cool?" or "what do you think of THAT?" while creating memories that'll last a lifetime and can be re-shared whenever the feeling moves you

I think my roof is covered under my insurance.. I have to start looking for quotes too as mine has started leaking.. not heavily.. but enough to notice.. all round the chimney.. *sighs*..

I did that too.. worked for 3 mths in 2024 and got all the $$ I needed to replace my cooktop, built-in oven, TV and all my deck supplies.. my project is putting the roof on the deck this summer.. this shud be interesting if I don't kill myself in the process

but you're right.. never ending list of 'things to do'.. mind you.. been thinking of selling and moving to a cruise ship.. no more shoveling, reno's, repairs, cooking or bills!

a black mamba??? I'm not much into snakes personally.. my eldest has one but, it's not of the venomous type.. that I'm aware of.. I knew a guy that had piranha's.. still have the scar on my index fingertip silly me.. and spiders.. *shivers* yeah.. I don't like spiders.. eesh..

but yes.. I am a regular Ms. Dolittle I've got deer, opossum's, racoons, foxes, skunks (which I steer clear of, thank you very much), ferrets, wild cats and a plethora of birds.. including eagles, falcons etc..

I'm still doing the same with my house.. it's like it NEVER ends lol.. specially when you're doing everything yourself on your own.. phew! but now that I'm retired.. you'd think I'd have more time.. nope.. seems I have LESS..

oh well.. keeping busy is a good thing.. and even tho life's treating me like a beach.. I'm content which is the most one can be these days huh

scammers are rife EVERYwhere there days.. and yes.. in many ways it ruins the experience.. I've been part of M2 since almost the very beginning and I've met from here, in the real world, many who've become good long term friends.. I opened a thread "Zee's Pub" back then and had lots of fun adventures online with those same folks, and many others.. but this time round? I'm at like 148 "likes me" in 4 days.. and as previously mentioned.. most are probably scammers.. mind blowing.. disheartening really.. but.. it is what it is huh..

I had 2 king dobermans myself, just not at the same time.. trained yes, ferocious no (unless agressively provoked).. and although that frenchie is a cutie pie.. I prefer larger dogs to bitty ones..

I've had Bernese and Great Pyrenean plus my very first was a Blue Merle Collie (short haired).. Last one was a Labernese.. she passed in September 2024 After that I had an awesome racoon named Bandit.. he got hit by a car in November Then there's Roxy.. my 3 legged fox.. she had her kits here summer of 2024.. they all still come visit

they really are.. and kind of nutso too, in a funny way.. my eldest wanted a pug but I feel this would be a better fit for her and her personality.. but MAN are they pricey.. cheapest I found was like $2600 locally... I love my kids.. just not THAT much

perhaps for some, but not for all! however that's my opinion..

as to wanting to live forever? I really liked my 40's.. I was happy with who I was, so if I could be that, in great health and shape.. why not
