Ah, but it is not a burnt offering. Jesus was not set on fire. He was crucified then burried, and spent three days and 3 nights in the heart of the Earth like Jona was 3 days in the belly of a wale. didn't Jesus spend those 3 days in Hell? took God three days to burnt him just right ... and before you go into how Hell doesn't have fire...the term "hell fire" is in the bible Yes he did spend 3 days in the heart of the Earth. But he was not set on fire to get there eg., a burnt offering. Nor is there any evidence that he was burnt while he was in there. And the father had nothing specifically to do with this. What are you talking about Funches? how could Jesus get into Hell if the Father didn't put him there?....how could Jesus do anything without The Father so now explain how The Father had nothing specifically to do with it You do realize, Jesus is the judge right? Jesus is the one whom sends people or saves people from hell. Jesus can judge and save all he wants to but it was the Father place his apse in Hell ... And please provide the passage or the location you received this information, that the Father himself specifically placed him there. Not something one needs to adlib, but where it specifically says the Father placed Jesus in Hell himself. If you can't, what you say is nothing more then vein words, why waste the time and energy? |

But again, you were saying I was preaching as in delivering a sermon. And that is against the mingle2 forum rules more then likely. and that Cowboy conclude my teachings as to why God's law is not above Man's Law you have to Render unto the laws of Mingle2 |

Jesus was not forsaken. He felt like he was, he felt separated from the father. Sin separates us from God, so when he was placed on that cross and took all our sins on himself, he felt separated from God. Again, I told you don't come here with a speculation or a hunch. Show where it specifically says the Father through Jesus in Hell. Jesus went to hell to take your death penalty in hell. To suffer your consequence for your sin(s). He did that, so you would not have to. |

Sin separates us from God, so when he was placed on that cross and took all our sins on himself, he felt separated from God. sorry Cowboy..but if Jesus was on the cross crying about being forsaken and was in Hell for three days...that's proof that God forsaken him and placed him there for at least three days Again, I told you don't come here with a speculation or a hunch. This is Jesus speaking before the crucifixion. Notice he says he will "spent" 3 days in the heart of the Earth. He doesn't say he will be sent there 3 days or trapped there 3 days. He will SPEND 3 days there. You'll have to ask hm yourself why he spent specifically 3 days there. that last quote sure sound like you are preaching the gospel Nope, just sharing the joy of the greatest gift. |

He never said to choke your daughter, he's never instructed us to bring any harm to anyone, physical or emotional. Heck, he's told us to turn the other cheek. Again, the word "hate" means extreme dislike or antipathy. And placing it in context, Jesus said this needs to be done to be his "disciple". Luke 14:26 26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. Because again, they would be placing someone above Jesus. And Jesus wants to be first if you're going to be his disciple. Jesus was only saying to put him first before anyone else. I can't help it you always think of hate Funches. |

Cowboy...you gave the evidence with that passage about Jonas being stuck in the belly of the whale for three days....he was in the whale because he disobeyed God and God placed him in the belly, he was trapped there for three days until God released him this was why Jesus linked himself to the story of Jonas..because the same would happen to him, he would be forsaken by God and be placed in hell for three days until God released him |

And did he now? Jonah 1 17 Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. And you do realize this was done to save Jonah right? Jonah was on a ship that hit a storm 4 But the Lord sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken. So after he had sent the storm, the men begged for compassion and forgiveness 14 Wherefore they cried unto the Lord, and said, We beseech thee, O Lord, we beseech thee, let us not perish for this man's life, and lay not upon us innocent blood: for thou, O Lord, hast done as it pleased thee. And to save Jonah's life, Jesus placed him in the belly of a whale. 17 Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. ------------------ And besides all this, it was the "lord" that did it, Jesus Christ. Not the father. So no, Jonah being in the belly of the whale and Jesus being in the heart of the Earth for 3 days has no relation in the sense of what you're saying. The Father did not send Jonah into the wale, nor did he cast Jesus to hell. |

Jonah was being disobedient to the Lord. |

Heck, he's told us to turn the other cheek. so if you strike a child on one cheek you are suppose to turn their other cheek? No, the phrase "turn the other cheek" refers to no violence, no hitting. If someone hits you, you turn them the other cheek instead of retaliating. It's a phrase speaking of passiveness, no violence. Why do you think of hatred and beating on people so much? |
