What are some of your favorite colors, and why?

Two of my favorite colors are black and gold. They represent money and power, and are good business colors.

I like all colors really though.

This is what I know about colors.

When people say they like blue the most,
there is a valid reason.
Blue is the only color that the brain
does not have to configure.
All other colors and varying shades make
the brain work harder.
Hence, the soothing nature of blue.
And the not-so-soothing bite of other colors.

I like blue :-)
Lazy brain I guess.

You don't seem to have a lazy brain. Perhaps it has more to do with preferring simplicity rather than over complicating things. :)

Myself my favorite colors are blue & lavender...but then I like all shades of brown as well...

Why for no other reason then I like those colors...

Calmness, loyalty, reliability, nature, are some things associated with those colors.

I like blue and yellow. Although my room colors are a reddish clay and sandalwood combination. I like the mellow of the yellow and warm feeling of the blue water. I can I can define it closer as aquamarine blue and lemon chiffon yellow. I have been told that yellow and blue are my colors.

Purple and red, i like bright colors.

I seem to be drawn to all shades of blue, aqua, turquoise, green. The sea is my church. I have to be near it, smell it, hear it, feel it, taste it. *shrugs*...it's just the way it is.

Edit to add...It seems i'm drawn toward earthy colours as well, because these are in the main living areas of my home

I like barn red, cranberry, golds and interesting shades of brown and rust - all the colors of fall. I also like many greens. In some instances I'm attracted to brights. Blues have to be "just right" and not usually pure blue - maybe I'm not meant to be calm???

Hmmm...I'll have to think about that. Hard to know...

Dark royal blue and glossy black. Both colors are soothing to me, I think the black reminds me of thunderstorms, not quite sure.

As a creative person I love all colors, but green is my favorite.

Black, white and grey.

Matches with everything.

It may be true that blue needs the least amount of processing power by our brains; but it's also true that in pscyhiatric waiting rooms the dominant tone is brown, beige, and other wood-colored hues.

I don't have a theory to back this up, just threw this observation in because I like and respect Souphie so much.

They say women are better at colour discerning than men, because they needed to be more skilled at telling poisonous mushrooms and plants form the non-, and most times even sudden differences in hues and colours made a difference of life and death in the primordeal soup.

They say blood is red because it is the colour that is most upsetting to see. The teach said it's the other way around, and I told her (this was in grade 7), Teach, you fool, it can't be the opposite, because blood is not green, duh.

They say the white of our eyes are white coz god ran out of "indigo Torquise with yellow polka dots, with a crossbow underneath and striped on the left flank" coloured paint on that day of creation.

I love the blue colour too and light grey colour. I wonder what personality that specifies?
