Topic: What is wrong with being Gay?

the issue here is that gays are NOT treated as full productive humans in our society. the same was said for women, blacks and my native brothers and sisters who still today are just thought of as "lazy indians" Gays dont want specail treatment, they just wanna be treated the same as other "humans" Why should we care what they do with other consenting adults, if its sincere and its true love,then its none of our business what they do behind closed doors!! I can't speak as a homosexual person because I am heterosexual, but I can speak as a woman. Gays are entitled to equality. I agree. They are equally citizens and human beings. They are not equally wives if they are male though, or equally husbands if they are female. I dont agree marriage should be something other than a husband and wife. All those other issues, I understand and support. Morning Harmony! I used to think that way too until I began to consider the legal issues gay couples face..Medical issues, adoption issues, estate issues, insurance issues...I began to understand that their desire to be married is not only about "expressing" their love and commitment to each other, it is also about protecting their legal rights. I think gay marriages should be recognized and treated exactly the same as straight marriages. I dont believe most of these 'issues' are truly issues, but even those which are could be resolved with civil union laws it could in fact, help a whole host of 'relationships' which wish to share assets and privileges,,,senior friends who no longer have partners siblings who have no other family etc,,, any adults who wish to have the benefit of sharing their estate, insuring each other, adopting,, etc,, would benefit from civil unions, as opposed to just homosexuals,,, and marriage could be left in tact,,

No, nothing is wrong, it's just a bad habit. Wellcome to Mingle2! would you like to expand on that "Bad-Habit" Statement? God made man and woman, not man and man or woman and woman. And there is no explaination on earth that can justify these act. It is from the pit of hell. preach on girl... if everyone was gay, our species would die out... Maybe our species should die out if we are going around being so judgemental. What right do we have to survive as species when we go our attacking others because of their sexual preference? We truly are a disgusting race. what i call wrong or bad may be different from yours, and when you see what is bad or wrong (according to your own point of view) and you don't try to correct it, then you are an enemy to your society. What I call wrong is people harming others. Being gay isn't harming anyone. Attacking those that are gay is harmful and this type of behavour and hatred is why our world is such a mess.

Also, the legal matters I spoke about can be eliminated by marriage with things like a deed of the entireties..Plus, if any of these legal issues I mentioned do come up, the gay couple is then forced to seek legal council and bear the expense of all it entails. Not equality IMO....Gays are either equal or they are not. To pick and choose issues within the framework of this question is treating a gay couple as if they are not equal in every respect to a straight couple....

I think she is just saying sex in itself can cause harm but I am just saying that sexual diseases can be caused by both homosexual and hetrosexual. I just don't understand why she is pointing only at homosexual people.

To pick and choose issues within the framework of this question is treating a gay couple as if they are not equal in every respect to a straight couple.... traditional marriage is not a 'right', its a tradition people can still have ceremonies wherever they choose but the LEGAL definition will be different,, one involving sexual consummation and one not,, a civil unon would have ALL the benefirs of a marriage without the presumption of a sexual union,,

I think she is just saying sex in itself can cause harm but I am just saying that sexual diseases can be caused by both homosexual and hetrosexual. I just don't understand why she is pointing only at homosexual people. Heterosexual sex can cause harm as well, but its a NECESSARY behavior for any of us to exist,, so we must deal with it,,,and can only try to be more responsible about it as opposed to promoting that we stop it or that its unhealthy overall,,, unlike , say, sodomy which has no such benefits or necessity and comes with plenty of risks,,,

Theres something 'wrong' with wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, and gluttony. Love is never wrong. Not on the list. love is not a bad habit, no, no, but same sex is a bad habit I guess bigotry comes in all forms. I am so glad I am atheist as I never want to pray to a God that would not accept us for who we are.

Fortunately, when it comes to sex, as long as it's legal, we can do what we want even if there are those who don't agree.
