Oh, I blacked out for a minute and thought you said The Orphan. Yeah, I loved The Orphanage too, but I don't think they'd let him direct the new Dracula movie though.

i'm not sure if this is horror, but i just saw hannibal. that is one horrible cat. makes a dude eat his own brain, really Hi, Ese! That's my favorite scene in the movie. ![]() The idea of eating a living person's brain as punishment is a reference to Dante's Inferno where Count Ugolino does this to Archbishop Ruggieri in hell. This makes sense because Lecter/Fell is depicted as a Dante Alighieri expert in this movie. A special animatronic puppet of Ray Liotta was used for some parts of the brain-eating scene. Liotta himself has said that he's not sure exactly which shots are him or the puppet, and that what he ate was actually chicken meat. :) i'll translate all that to english for you. "GROSS" yw |

What Horror Films Scared You As An Adult?
The Changeling'80- Very effective ghost story with George C Scott. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre '74- Okay I was about 15 or 16 when I saw it but I'm including it here. Part of what made it work was it's documentary feel. Pet Sematary '89- One word "Zelda". After seeing it in the theater during it's release I couldn't go to sleep because I kept imagining Zelda coming for me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oV4nwwgVEc4 The Exorcist III'90- Extremely underrated horror sequel. The nurse scene still gets me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zH8ynu0jRvY The Blair Witch Project '99- The final moments of the film when they're going through the house, and the ending still works for me. Session 9 '01- The film slowly builds, you start hearing the sessions between patient and doctor, the film never fails to crawl under my skin as it builds. Ringu '98- This scene alone is scarier than anything I've seen in a long time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_GQO1oWEwg |

Night Fright Haha! I'm sure it's not related to Fright Night. Is that the the 1960's something version? |

Me too! That's why I love roaches horror movies because they get me. That Bug from 1975 was one of the first I had seen of it's type, and those things were large and can start fires! |
