Well, it is a freebie.

Love all this gimmicky stuff they used to do, having nurses on stand by in the theater lobby, selling Life Insurance to movie goers in case they die of fright. And of course the late great William Castle who would rig the theater seats, like with The Tingler- various seats would be rigged to give little jolts.

Although I have not the time to read all the posts, I would like to say......Hellraiser is one of my favorites.

Hi, Zimzane! Yes, Hellraiser has been one of my favorites too. It's the most memorable one from my childhood. There will be a remake of this movie by Dimension Films, which they announced last November 2006. Then on October 20, 2010, they made it official that Patrick Lussier and Todd Farmer will be directing and writing, respectively, the reboot of the Hellraiser franchise. The film will be an "origins story" of the original film. Production will begin sometime in 2011 for a late 2011 or early 2012 release. Clive Barker will serve as producer on the project. :)

Is Barker actually a producer? Jerry Lewis was listed as Executive Producer for the Eddie Murphy remake of The Nutty Professor, but he actually wasn't involved in the film, they credited him as that as a thank you for letting them remake his movie.
I'd like to think Barker is involved, maybe they'll treat his original film with respect.

Todd Farmer is responsible for writing Jason X....ugh, but he did write the remake for My Bloody Valentine remake, which I liked.

Hi, JJ! What sort of horror movies are you into? Mainstream? Gore? Thrillers? Classics? If you can be a little more specific, maybe we can help. :)

I use to really enjoy "The hills have eye's" and I can't remember that one Rob Zombie directed where they dressed up as clowns. I liked the first Saw but after there became so many I pretty much lost interest in those. Along those lines I guess suspenseful/horror would be the best way to put it. Oh the remake of Texas Chainsaw was good I thought as well.

After you watch it, you can share your opinion about the movie here. Also, if you're up to it, we've posted some movies throughout the entire thread. You may want to go back on some pages and just check out the movie lists. I don't think you'll be disappointed. :)

These are some more recent ones that kind of fit into the Hills Have Eyes/Texas Chainsaw Massacre realm.

EDIT: And Wrong Turn, and Wrong Turn 2.

And if you want something with humor, the British horror-comedies Severance and The Cottage.

A few of them overlap from other 50 Movie Packs I have, but still worth it since I only paid $14.55.

The ones in bold are the ones I've seen so far. Some of the movies I've watched in other sets, others I rented on VHS years ago.

Just added The Embalmer to the ones I've seen in the set. Boring mid 60's Italian flick about a cloaked man kidnapping women and embalming to preserve them. Good idea, just badly executed.

The Hearse '80- Recently re watched this. Very underrated little film. A woman moves into her late aunt's house and starts experiencing bizarre happenings, and is followed around by an old hearse. Definitely some creepy moments with the hearse's driver popping up at unexpected places.

laugh

Linsday's "exposure" in the movie was done supposedly to draw in people to see the movie. But I read that that was hardly what happened, well, except for you. Hee.

I have to agree. The concept is actually a good one and has many possibilities. This actually reminded me of After.Life, but could have had more of the horrific twists that was dampened on the other movie.

After.Life? Really?

Only because of the word embalming. I associated it with the morgue and a coroner, which After.Life had, but that's about it.
