Did you ever see the ones where they say "Looking for someone who has the same interests I have" and they NEVER tell you what their interests ARE? I guess you have to be psychic to date them.... No, Lex, I haven't, but that would NOT surprise me!  I have, however, had men that have a profile identical to the one above contact me and begin asking all about me. If I even choose to give them a response, it's usually something like: "Well, why don't we start with your marital status?"

Another good one is the ever-popular "I'll fill this out later," which of course they never do. Or "My friend told me about this site and I'm just going to see if it's worth it before I write anything." Way to make a commitment there. Or "Anything you want to know, you'll have to ask" -- I swear, I'm just not all that interested....!

I have been on different sites over the years. As I do not go to bars and do not like getting "fixed up" (nightmare), that is primarily how I have met men in the past. And I have to say, you are so right. I have seen it all. And here I am, really trying to post an honest to goodness profile! With lots of information! And correct grammar!

That's why mine is 14,000 pages long -- it's like a litmus test. If they live long enough to read it, and aren't so offended that they send hate mail and bombs and scorpions, etc., I figure maybe they're worth talking to. |
