Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for those who have died serving our
country. This is a great time to honor our veterans and famous Americans. Don't forget to fly the flag proudly in remembrance for those that have gave there lives, as well as our troops that are fighting for this country right this very minute. If you go out to see a parade or if it is to a BBQ with your friends & family. Please take a minute and pray for our TROOPS to be able to come home to share good times with there family's as well. GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS "OUR TROOPS" They fight each day. So we can live this way. They don’t ask for much. Just that we keep in touch. They love this land. And for it, they will take a stand. They will always be true. And be proud of the colors, red, white & blue. As we all stand around in big groups. Don’t forget to say a prayer for the troops. For it’s there loved ones. They think about while sitting holding there guns. They think of the day. They will get to come home and stay. They have there family pictures in there pockets. As they sit and listen to the rockets. It brings tears to there eyes. As they hear there best friends cries. They do everything they can. This is not what they had in plan. For over the desert they roam. Hoping for all to come Home! |

This is a great topic! I am currently married to (although seperated
and going to be divorcing) a US Navy sailor and its nice to see that there are many people out here that still support our troops. While he was out on deployment, I heard a lot of grief from some family and friends and it just doesnt make any sense. I may not love my husband anymore but I do support his job and his calling...it takes a strong man to go out there and defend his country! God Bless all of our Troops, the ones here and the ones fighting battles elsewhere. And to all those we have lost...Blessed Be! xoxox |

Thank you all and yes a bit sad but... it does not even touch what there
reality is all about. Or the familys that have lost a child or husband maybe even a mother or father. For them we should not only remember them this weekend but our TROOPS should be in our prayers and thoughts everyday!! ((((((BUTTERCUP)))))) |

you always hear the sad reality of our troops dying every day...on this
holiday, we should remember not only the heros that have fallen, but also the ones that remain behind, still fighting for our freedom. and also to remember the families and friends of loved ones. I have lost my share of friends due to this war and its horrible the mark made by a lost one...we need to remember this and keep every single one of them in our prayers! God Bless every single one....troops, families and friends! |

To the Fallen Soldiers'
(Forrest) "To the Fallen Soldiers" How do we say thank you to our son's and daughters, husbands and wives, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, sisters and brothers. How do we say thank you for putting your lives on the line for us, in a was that's not ours to fight. After 9/11 you were told "this is our fight, we must take revenge, because they have weapons of mass destruction and a plan to use them on us." But of course the head of State was wrong about all of that, of course he only wanted to prove a point. What's the point you say, well his point is nothing like this was supposed to happen on his shift, but since it did he must come out victorious. It does not really matter how many he looses along the way, he just must be the victor. How many babies won't have the chance to know their parents, and how many of those parents won't have the chance to see their little ones take their first steps, or be there for their kindergarten promotion. Many father's won't have the opportunity to walk their little girls down that wonderful isle of bliss. Think of how many mother's won't get the help their sons get ready for their proms or even meet their girl friends. All of this and why, so that the head of state can be victorious. How many of his is over there, not the two daughters that have made the news several times because of their drunken behavior. So what is he risking, only the lives of our children, husbands, wives, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Now they served and died because of the love they have for God first, for us second and then for this country, a country that sometimes just don't care. The time is now to show that we do care, to thank not only God, but also their families for them and their sacrifice. You will truly be missed. |

I guess I have to disagree.
These are not "our troops" these are the Neo-cons and Bush's troops that have invaded another country over lies and Building Empires. Thier actions do not defend us here or keep us safe as the liar and chief Bush has said before. They have a duty to defend this country from foriegn invaders (illegals) and uphold the US Constitution. This illegal, immoral war in Iraq does neither. They have been lied to and are being used as well as getting DU put on them (just like Agent Orange) and the VA will not help them when they get back. Just remember the words from this infamous traitor, who is, to this day held in high regards by this government. “Military men are just dumb stupid animals to be used as pawns in foreign policy.” Henry Kissinger as quoted in the book “Kiss the Boys Goodbye: How the United States Betrayed Its Own POW’s in Vietnam.” Vietnam was a chemical war for oil, permanently contaminating large regions and countries downriver with Agent Orange, and environmentally the most devastating war in world history. But since 1991, the U.S. has staged four nuclear wars using DEPLETED URANIUM weaponry, which, like Agent Orange, meets the U.S. government’s definition of Weapons of Mass Destruction. Vast regions in the Middle East and Central Asia have been permanently contaminated with radiation. Just 467 U.S. personnel were wounded in the three-week Persian Gulf War in 1990-1991. Out of 580,400 soldiers who served in Gulf War I, 11,000 are dead, and by the year 2000 there were 325,000 on permanent medical disability. This astounding number of disabled vets means that a decade later, 56% of those soldiers who served now have medical problems. The number of disabled vets reported up to the year 2000 has been increasing by 43,000 every year. Brad Flohr of the Department of Veterans Affairs said that he believes there are more disabled vets now than after World War II. Not only were soldiers exposed to depleted uranium on and off the battlefields, but they brought it home. Depleted uranium in the semen of soldiers internally contaminated their wives, partners and girlfriends. Tragically, some women in their 20s and 30s who were sexual partners of exposed soldiers developed endometriosis and were forced to have hysterectomies because of health problems. In a group of 251 soldiers from a study group in Mississippi who had all had normal babies before the Gulf War, 67% of their post-war babies were born with severe birth defects! They were born with missing legs, arms, organs or eyes or had immune system and blood diseases. In some veteran’s families now, the only normal or healthy members of the family are the children born before the war. The Department of Veteran’s Affairs has stated that they do not keep records of birth defects occurring in families of veterans. HOW DID THEY HIDE IT? I say bring these soldiers home and put the criminals behind bars. |

when I say criminals, Im talking about the leaders who have lied to the
citizens and are using "the troops." |

BEARANWHISKEY- First of all does not matter if one agrees with the war
or not! What this post is all about is the TROOPS AND SUPPORTING THEM FOR WHAT THEY DO FOR US!! OUT OF RESPECT FOR THEM AND THERE FAMILYS it is not asking much of anyone to hold there TONGUES or there thoughts. Give them the RESPECT that they deserve. For this post is not for DEBATE this post is to HONOR the MEN& WOMEN that have lost there LIVES as well as the ones still fighting. So I do plead with you and anyone else DO NOT BRING WORDS OF HATE OR BASHING HERE. Please feel free to make your own post if you would like to argue about the war and its reasons. |
|
|
|
there is no hate in my message, only anger at this government and the
leaders who have betrayed us all. Im sorry you have misinterpreted that. Bring home the troops NOW. |

let us not forget the real meaning behind memorial
day...its to remember those who gave their life defending our country and its a time to respect those who are fighting now.. the troops need to know we support them in what they do, if you dont support them then dont bad mouth them, they dont need to hear it, they are away from their families and need to know we appreciate them and are thankful for their decisions and even more they need our support when they return home...... without goin into details i know of what i speak firsthand and alot of them come home with not only physical injuries but mental ones as well.... so if you see or hear when you are out and about this weekend make sure you just tell them thank you, you would not believe how those 2 little words mean to them..just to know they are appreciated.... god bless |
