I guess that is the point.

some of us do not respect troops that are killing people over lies and
not defending this country or the US Constitution.

Some of you sound like Hitler's Germany in the late 30s.

You know,

people we can argue all day about war, and the politics behind them, but
when I see a policeman, fireman, paramedic or someone in the service I
set all of that aside, and just want to say thanks for protecting me as
a person who would not be here if not for them.

I ask you please, don't turn this into a hate thread. Believe me, we all
know the issues. We all have our opinions on them. I will not voice mine
on a weekend that I wish give thanks to the people who have saved my
life.

peace,

michael

Come on guys how hard is it really for you all to give respect to the
TROOPS those past or present. I hear all of your views. But ...........
the only thing that I had asked was if ya want to argue about the WAR.
Make a post and go for it but at least RESPECT THE INTENTIONS THAT I HAD
HERE!!

I'm sorry but you know what I really don't feel like respect is asking
to much of others. You views on life verse my views or the next person
is never gonna be the same.

But..... is there anything written saying that we can not atleast
RESPECT each others thoughts and have a civil debat on a post that it
belongs in. Hummmm for some reason I don't think I have asked toooo much
of anyone here.

Now from here on out can we at least leave the debates off of this post
and make one just for that. You all have very good points and I =RESPECT
THAT SO NOW CAN YA CALL A TRUCE ON THIS POST AND GIVE IT THE SAME
RESPECT. No one forces you to read the post it is your choice. But just
asking for the 3rd time please not here make a post sure it will go off
the charts on the pages. PLEASE!!!flowerforyou

"The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield
the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of
the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of
its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the
lie, and thus by extension, the truth becomes the greatest enemy of the
State." --Dr. Joseph M. Goebbels (Kinda sounds like our political system
since the days of Lincoln)

"Beware of the leader who bangs of war in order to whip the citizenry
into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double edged sword.
It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind.

"And when the drums of war have reached a fevor pitch and the blood
boils with hate and the mind is closed, the leader will have no need in
seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry infused with
fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto
the leader and do it gladly so. "How do I know? I know for this is what
I have done. And I am Caesar." --Julius Caesar.

(Sounds very much like today's propagandist war on terrorism and the
hunt for CIA-made Bin Boogey Man)

Hey guys! Here is the solution to the current dilemma. As much as it
pains you to do so, IGNORE these two friggin whacked out extremist nut
jobs!grumble It's not worth the time wasted for each side to beat
their opinions into the other! One freak lives in a shack in the woods
cowering next to the outhouse and would throw a baby over a cliff for
waving the American flag. His brain one remaining inbred brain cell is
taxed heavily enough. If breathing weren't an involuntary function he
would have been fertilizer long ago. As for Kari, he's a fry case. An
angry, angry little kermudgeon who is fearful of his own shadow. A
poster child for the "Just Say No To Drugs" campaign. You can't beat
something into what's not there. Thank you all who support the troops.
To bear and kari, you friggin straight out of deliverance sociopathic
whacked out backwards countrified inbred nut bags, go the hell away.
Hang out with your own kind at what ever rock you crawled out from
under. !$##@&%%##, &()&&&^#%$, and furthermore, ^*(**$$@$!!! Hugs to
you, lovey lovey, kiss kissgrumble You all keep this crap up and I
will be forced to invoke the name of Jess. That'll fix your
assas.noway

Txs,

Thank you for posting this thread.
I am so sorry that a thread this important got so terribly bashed.

I would like to thank you, from the bottom of my heart and for my family
as my father, and 2 nephews were in the service.

It means alot to me and I do support our troops.

It amazes me how such a positive post can turn negative so quickly...The
next time you want to talk negative about the politics of war...How
about you start your own thread and argue it out...I don't think this
thread was the place!!!!!!!!

grumble huh grumble

A Special Thanks To All Who Have given the ultimate sacrifice, their
familes, and friends. Please accept our warmest thanks and May God Hold
All Of You In his Heart and Bless Everyone Who Has Given Us The Gifts we
do not deserve. We can NEVER repay you except to hold you in our
thoughts and give thanks for you and a solemn prayer for the safe return
of the ones who still fight. Thank You Lord for these brave souls and
hold them in your loving care until we meet again. May we all one day be
as brave as these men were, ever staunch and never wavering on the
battlefield. Amen
