Topic: You Get What you Are.....More on Law of Attraction

I am attempting to put the power into your hands and you don't want it.

What power are you offering me that I don't already have? huh

I showed clearly how your so-called 'Law of Attraction' breaks down in the case of two sports teams.

I can see where you are not understanding the law of attraction James.

You think I am saying that you can use your will to reach out and control other people's reality or a large group. YOU CANNOT DO THIS.

Read at least, the post on the proper use of the will.

You are responsible for your reality and your experiences and you think I am saying that you should take responsibility for EVERYTHING IN THE UNIVERSE.

THAT IS RIDICULOUS AND I AM NOT SAYING THAT.

Well, if that's the case then what are we arguing about? You clearly agree with me that there are things in our lives that we have no control over.

That's all I have ever said.

But everytime I say that you accuse me of having the mindset of a powerless victim. grumble

Yet now you are AGREEING WITH ME! whoa

Clearly you don't even have control over your own ability to be consistent.

And you think you have power to offer me? laugh

Get you're own act together first.

Now you agree that we don't have control over everything in our lives and therefore we cannot possibly be responsible for having attracted everything to us.

That was my stance all along. drinker

Disgust, not anger. I dont appreciate being lied to, or efforts to insult others by dishing out some mumbo jumbo that just contridicts itsself left and right. Countless accusations that the masses just need to hear this, based on the elementary. My thoughts have never displayed wanting to CONTROL anyone as some othersss here do. I dont post my unresearched belief as fact. That is why I have chosen to move on. Im not going to defend just ANYTHING LOL.

I agree that there are things we cannot control or do anything about where it involves other peoples lives and realities.

But you do have control of your personal experiences and life.

Some people believe that other people's problems are under their control, but you cannot create reality for other people.

You cannot step into their shoes and think their thoughts.

You cannot use your will to control others and if you do, it is wrong to do so.

You can only control your own life and experiences, and take responsibility for them... all of them, each and every one of them.

If you get involved with other people's lives and dramas, that is by our own choosing. You permit it, you allow it and you attracted it and them into your experience.

If you deny that you did, then you are not accepting responsibility for your creations.

Why so much anger?

Every single individual on this Earth has a different belief system that works for them individuality. If it is a religion, or spiritual lifestyle, or a philosophy that people agree on, or a common goal at the end.

If the laws of attraction works for jeannie then so be it. She sees it to be rewarding and helpful and shares her approach on the philosophy.

What your method is maybe utterly ridiculous for another and the list goes on.

In the end what matters is you can feel good with what you believe in each day.

I think Jeanniebean attracts the anger to herself when she insinuates that anyone who disagrees with her is a powerless victim who refuses to take responsiblity for their own actions. laugh

I totally agree with EarthyTaurus. Jeannie is all over the place and has not only not made her cause, but she seems to be sending mixed messages as well.

And I agree with you too Smiless. If this works for Jeannie more power to her! drinker

But what's with this crap of trying to proselytize it to others whilst insulting all those who refuse to accept her vauge and unclear notions by suggesting that they are powerless whinning wimps who refuse to take repsonsiblity for their own actions.

Like Bushiobillyclub has stated several pages ago, that's far from polite.

Jeanniebean reminds me of a Fire and Brimstone preacher who is condemning everyone who doesn't accept her dogma as being an irresponsible hopless fool who'd doomed to live a life of suffering.

This is just another accusatory dogma not unlike the Abrahamic religions. laugh

Believe what I say! Or accept that you're a heathen who shirks responsiblity!

That's what it sounds like to me. Plus like EarthyTaurus points out JB is all over the board and doesn't even support her ideals, in fact she keeps chaning her position dynamically.

I don't understand the anger either.

I guess that is why they call it THE SECRET. Because some people will just not see it.

I can't believe what nastiness comes out of your mouth sometimes.

noway noway

(And you describe yourself as a nice loving person, and yet you express anger, frustration, and sadness.)

I have misjudged you a lot. I wish you the best.

I would agree with most of that. But again, I see no reason to call that by any special name. We all know these things. This isn't any "Secret".

Also, I do not agree we necesarily get involved with other peoples lives and dramas by choice. Sometimes, we have no real choice.

It's like living on planet earth. You really have no choice by to deal with some governement. There simply are not places where you can live that aren't under the rule of some goverment.

Government is a social drama.

You have no choice but to deal with it.

So I would disagree that we even have a choice in this matter.

We truly don't. The planet is already too overpopulated to escape that. It's beyond our ability to chose.

The mind is truly amazing as it consistently picks up so much information and data. At times the mind changes and believes in something different. A paradox to tell you the truth. One day you believe in this and a year later you may say it was ridiculous what I was thinking and why didn't I think of this.

The mind is always learning new things each day.

I am sure Jeannie is not condeming anyone. She just shows a passion for her studies and beliefs. If they actually work, well it can only work for those who believe in it, even if it doesn't sound logical.

I mean look at MorningSong, FeralCatLady, or even the other fanatics. One can argue until the face turns blue. The result will be only more anger and disagreements. That is if even emotions come to play by the reader and writer.

If one practices Shamanism or the laws of attraction, buddhism, or a native indian rain dance, what is important is that it made the person feel good at the moment.

Or one can be an atheist and just observe the world as if the majority of the people living on it are crazy. I do that sometimes. lollaugh

How many things I have done that I thought later on, wow that was ridiculous> Why did I believe in that? It happens to everyone. At least I hope so! Life is truly a learning experience. laugh

In the end I am sure she is not prosteylizing the laws of attraction. She is teaching something she truly believes works. One can dismiss it simply if it doesn't work for them.

I do it all the time, but at the back of my head I say "anything is possible" and I also say" we don't know the truth of alot of things like we claim we do. That is if we are honest with ourselves"

but again don't mind me. I am nothing more then the court's jester who doesn't even understand half of the stuff written on these forums anywaylaugh

This comes from the High Priestess of the Church of Brutal Truth and Honesty?

Beat others into submission and when they complain turn it back on them. spock

Then why accuse people of being powerless victims who refuse to accept responsiblity for their actions if they don't buy into it?

That's where the line was crossed.

There's no call for that.

Perhaps in her heart she wants everyone to see the reward of knowing this knowledge and it hurts that her friends don't believe in it?

Perhaps she reads it in the book that it states that one is powerless victims

Perhaps she felt attack by the controversy or how the reply was contructed at the time towards her

there could be a hundred reasons!

whatever the case is I am sure their is a reason for this.

I mean in the end it is simply that

-She believes-

-You don't-

and that is all to it!

Everyone has a different idealogy what is right or wrong. mine probably sound the must utterly ridiculous to all mankind, but again it works for me. lol

How many times I was told that if I don't become a Christian I will never see another life. I just say, "Maybe your right" but I stand firm on my belief that everyone will see another day.

Whatever the case will be, I hope that both will shake hands, give pats on the back, or a great big hug for it would be ashame if you both would not talk to each other again.

Afterall that is my entertainment during the morning when I log onlaugh

I didn't read all of the posts but I do believe we send out some kind of a vibe that is very interesting. When I decided to start looking again for romance I noticed things that maybe were always there I just didn't pay attention to or was it a scent or a look I gave but when I started looking I noticed men looking back. I think we send a signal without any words if its,i am desperate, in pain, happy, life is good, etc. I think a person with stinking thinking sends out that vibe. If you are happy and confident that vibe is there also. We are how we think.

I feel bad. I think I was too hard on her. But I thought she could take it.

I confess that calling her a Fire and Brimstone Preacher was pretty low. laugh

I'm sure you're right John. She just wants to share the joy of her beliefs.

Now I feel bad that I was too hard on her.
