I have mentioned that to them several times that Jesus instructed them not to " create discourse amongst brethren:" and they said I would not be considered brethren because I dont believe in Jesus.

In fact, Jesus would never have ventured to insult or to hurt. Christians are the ones who turned Jesus into a monster. |

I have mentioned that to them several times that Jesus instructed them not to " create discourse amongst brethren:" and they said I would not be considered brethren because I dont believe in Jesus. Now there is pure unadulterated hatred in the name of Jesus. Spreading hate for Jesus' sake, what an oxymoron. It truly does make me angry sometimes because the arrogant people who do this are truly spitting in the face of Jesus the whole time they are using his name to spread hatred. |

Well, that is what people get when they turn a man into a god!
Also this is what you get when you allow ignorance to be the guiding light. Jesus was a prophet. he taught a ideal of simplicity and tolerance, peace, and love. What did it become? A church of BLOOD and SUBJUGATION! Now Islam is repeating the same behavior with Al Qiaeda, the Taliban, and Hammas (and Hammas is one of the most stupid organizations out there because Israel is going to mop the floor with them and they are already getting innocent people caught in their fight!). I have spent years trying to find a community that truly loves without condition and is truly tolerant and yet all I find is the same old human behaviors like always. Life is unfair, people are innately stupid and sheep like, and there is far too little common sense. All we can do is try to keep the love in out hearts and persevere in the face of all of the darkness going on around us. I may not exactly be of any religious affiliation. I am a truth seeker. For as tolerant as a lot of Wiccans preach to be I sure fell a certain arrogance among the community. Some are truly people of teaching in the Wiccan community who are tolerant and I love to learn and exchange ideals and thought with them because I am sick of the Christianity soaked world. I like the cold shoulder some of the wiccan comunity give me. Proves how much more like Christians they are! This is coming from a man who tries hard to appreciate the Goddess for what she is but conversely they also seem to forget the male part of the Goddess. God is. I am. So what of it? Granted I may look into things on a very deep level and it bothers a LOT of people but so what! I refuse to apologize or feel guilty for who and what I am. I am not looking down on anyone who does not look down on me. I just want to learn and grow. Nothing more. Is that what bothers people so much? Living life in another's box is for worst than an eternity in the pits of hell. |

In the sake of fairness ask a christian if they worship the teachings of the man or worship him as a savior. If they worship the teachings then you have one of the true faithful.
If they worship Jesus gently remind them they are committing a sin and remind them of the first commandment and also remind them they are worshiping a Jewish Carpenter born of a WOMAN. Jesus did not fall out of the sky! Jesus is being placed before God. Then ask them if they follow the ten commandments or the two? If they worship Jesus so much then they should follow his two commandments but most of them will say TEN. Not all Christians are misguided SHEEP! It all depends on their level of education!!! Also think of this, Jesus was murdered by man to absolve us of our sins as an act of sacrifice? We sacrificed a man for what? A clean conscious? I will not accept an act of murder to absolve me of anything. When I face final judgment I will be sure to tell that to God's face and if I go to hell for is so be it! I stand to account for my actions alone and want no part in the murder of a man! Look at who Jesus had for disciples... Wonder how the church was so screwed up in the first place? |

I stand to account for my actions alone and want no part in the murder of a man! Look at who Jesus had for disciples... Absolutely. Even if the story were true I'd have no choice but to reject the sacrifice on principle alone. I would absolutely have to. No way would I want to go to any heaven knowing that I condoned crucifying a man for my sake. Nope, I'd gladly go to hell before I would condone such an ignorant act. The real irony too is that I don't feel that I ever did anything in my entire life that would warrant such a horrid punishment as even being nailed to a cross, much less suffer for all of eternity in some hell. Any God who would have created such a reality would be for inferior to my moral standards that's for sure. I would have to seriously lower my moral standards to worship a God like that. What truly leaves me in total disillusionment is that so many seemingly half-way intelligent people actually accept that picture as being legitimate. That's truly depressing. That's the saddest thing of all. That so many people think that picture of God is so great. It makes my skin crawl to think that I'm floating on a rock in space that's populated with people who think that picture is so great. That's truly disheartening. |

I just wish everyone could agree to disagree and let each other live their lives. This morning was particularly bad because it was more vicious and offensive than usual. I don't understand why it took the mods so long to get it off there.

Well, for whatever it's worth, I see the Great Spirit in your soul. If other people can't see that it's probably because they aren't in touch with the spirit themselves. |

They are just angry and resentful in most cases of anyone who refuses to convert. They view people of other faiths as a threat. Also, most of these Christians online suddenly become big and scary when they are behind a computer and there is the presumption of anonymity. I will bet you a round trip ticket to Europe that they would not DARE say these rude things to you in person face to face. |

I know you guys are right. And, I know sometimes I let them get me too upset. The one guy hit a nerve with me with his remark to HellKitten. Brought back some really bad feelings. And then to top it off I get that stupid email from the freak.
Oh well, live and learn and get better at handling these things, right? |

Oh well, live and learn and get better at handling these things, right? well, it's the internet, and people still think whatever they do and say here will have no repercussions. They do not realize that the laws in this respect are changing. But we, the users of these facilities, also have to learn to detach ourselves from it. As long as there are people, there will always be weirdos out there to take advantage of our vulnerabilities, so all we can do is not to show them. |

I have been reading lately that some states over there have, and in fact, enforce the law of internet harassment. I do even think it was in the politics forum somewhere. I just wish that all states, all over the world, would have, and enforce, the same laws. It would make it less easy on scammers and weirdos. |

Im not sure that I have ever received an actual "threat" from a Christian by email. Most of them are smart enough not to take it that far. I have been called names and had some reprehensible things said to me by private exchange however. Ive never had one threaten bodily harm however. Not yet. Im sure the police would need to actually see where they said something to that effect. Its been insinuated but never like "Im going to find you" in so many words.

This one was more vague. No day or time. The last one was because I wouldn't respond to his emails, so I don't really think it had anything to do with my being a witch. |

If they worship Jesus gently remind them they are committing a sin and remind them of the first commandment and also remind them they are worshiping a Jewish Carpenter born of a WOMAN.
I would never do something like that to anyone regardless of who or what they worshiped. Gently remind someone that they are committing a sin? How rude and presumptuous. If anyone told me that who or what I was worshiping was a sin I would tell them that the term "sin" is a word that is owned by religious dogma and outside of religious doctrine it has no meaning whatsoever. It is a meaningless word. Also, there are no commandments. If free will has any meaning or truth at all there can only be suggestions. No such thing as commandments. These are guidelines which were later called commandments by men who wanted more control over the flock. There is no sin. There are no commandments. There is only freedom. Freedom is paramount. |
