Smiless if you are in Florida, I am on the same schedule as you, Eastern time. I am up every morning by 630 am because I live on an expansive farm in which I raise alpaca for fleece. I also have a clothing boutique here on the farm where I sell alpaca clothing and associated items. So I never have to leave home. Im in the boonies. So I pop on and off Mingle all the time. Generally between doing farm chores or having to assist customers in my shop.

I must confess its a good thing I didnt live in New England in the late 1600s. Any woman who owns her own property and lives alone was automatically singled out by the church as being a Witch. I guess I dodged that bullet.

You are living the dream life. I always wanted to raise sheep in New Zealand and sell the wool for a living. Just be out in the open inhaling fresh air and looking at breathtaking land scenery. Lord of the Rings did that to me when I watched it and found out they did all their takes over there.laugh

Yes you dodge the bullet for sure. What ashame that it was like that back then! I am glad that woman have equal rights for the most part. I still think that we are a long ways to go considering discrimination in other parts of the world including here in the states when it comes to wages.

As for me I am surrounded by woman who all earn more then me and even know more stuff then me alsolaugh I don't mind at all. Maybe it would be better to give women a chance to run the world for a change. Maybe we would have less wars and better solutions on preserving this delicate planet.

Oh beautiful California. I love San Francisco and Sacramento alot. Been there a few times and always had a good time. Been to LA but that wasn't a good experience on the highways at all.

I was just thinking that we can somehow find a way regardless of the time differences here in the states meet at the same time. That we can actually have a time that can fit everyones schedule to chat together. I find it would be more enjoyable if we don't have to wait 3 hours for a answer.

I know this may take some work to find out everyones schedule, but I think the effort is worth it.

I did once a fantasy roleplaying game here on mingle and got everyone to meet at a certain time each day. We were 50 people strong at the time. Now that was fun:smile:

but for this thread I think we are only 5 or 6 so it shouldn't be to hard to do?

What do you think?

I cant really commit to anything like that because my schedule is unpredictable but I always come off and on during the day. If I see something of interest I respond.

Did you have one question specifically Smiless?

Yeah, my schedule is very unpredictable as well with my job and kids. Plus, when I get on during the work day I am accessing the site through my cell phone. It is tedious to go through there and limits my responses.

No problem. It was just a suggestion to get us together at the same time to chat for fun. To have someone ask the question of the day and we can go from there. I guess that is the German in me, always wanting somekind of uniformity and order of somekind. laugh

Millions of questions occur in my mind everyday. The day I don't have a question will be the day I won't be breathinglaugh

In the long run, I understand you have a business to run and please by all means don't stop because of a minglerlaugh

No problem. I understand completely. It was just a suggestion. I guess just leave it as it is:smile:

I like the idea of the question of the day, though. Can you post one for us and we can respond as we are able through the day?

laugh Okay. I just don't know if my questions will be of interest to the group as mine are generally witchcraft related. I can try to mix them up though.

Start with the light questions please for I am but a toad in the witchcraft knowledge. If even that! But don't bore yourself if that is the case. If you rather ask the hard questions then we can always try to reply. If I don't know, I will certainly tell you:smile:

Alright, let me see what I can come up with. Easier questions won't bore me as I always need to be reviewing the information. Maybe James or someone else can help me.

Okay, first let me ask this. Are you interested in learning about witchcraft? Is this a subject you want to learn about? Or are you more interested in discussing spirituality in genera? Perhaps I am over thinking this. laugh

Where is James when I need him????

I am primarily interested in Witchcraft but I find one question will lead to others which might include varying realms of spiritual interest. Sometimes its can become difficult to focus on one topic. The internet is positively overwhelming when it comes to information about the subject of Witchcraft or other Pagan spirituality. Its not that its always contradictory but sometimes one website will just take a completely different approach to Witchcraft or Paganism or whatever the specific topic is.

At the moment I am interested in Tarot Cards. Did you know that in Europe they actually used the cards to play games. I mean it wasn't until later that it became popular for the use of readings. Well at least what I am reading here in this book it said this. I wouldn't mind learning how the actual game was played, even though with my imagination I am sure I could create a game with tarot cards.

but to answer the question I am always interested in learning the supernatural. Yesterday Jeannie posted up 4 chapters on telepathy. It was a interesting read but very lengthy!

Sure I would love to learn as long as I don't hurt anyone in the processlaugh

Okay, I will start posting witchcraft stuff and we can just go from there. If no one is interested in it, no biggie, we'll go onto a different aspect of it the next day. I love talking about witchcraft so it's good for me.

Are there different categories of witchcraft?

I ask because in fantasy one can become a necromancer, warlock, wizard, and learn different types of magical skills such as alteration, mysticm, destruction, and so forth.

There are many different types of witchcraft. Not everyone calls themselves a witch and there is a lot of variety, even among people who follow the same path. Oh my gosh! You have to be kidding me. Wow that is no joke then when it comes to Witchcraft. Now that would take a lifetime to learn. Thanks that is interesting. I will have to take the time to read up on each one and what makes them so different. Also good for my imaginative writinglaugh
